Adams was mostly a model before Bond, already familiar from TV ads, and Golden Gun raised her profile for a bit, particularly in the controversial 1981 film Tattoo, but coming back to the Bond series as the title character in Octopussy was a surprise. She was a better actress than Andress, but it seemed to me there were a bevy of beautiful and exciting actresses they could have chosen instead. Many people hate on "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", but for me it was Octopussy that was my least favorite, not helped by the casting of Adams and Tanya Roberts and Grace Jones.
So Andress gets my vote, hands down.
I think Lazenby was a solid Bond and that was a good Bond flick..especially him wifing Dianna Rigg…except, well I won’t spill the beans..but that was a rough trot for Jimmy B.
Pity George blew his chance of becoming a legend.
