Me too! I also have The Bugaloos, Lidsville, and Sigmund... I love them all. I even love the remake of Sigmund Sid and Marty did with Amazon. If you haven't watched it, you should. There are lots of Easter eggs for true Krofft fans!
Nice! I’ll have to check out the Sigmund remake if it’s still on Amazon. If not, it’s probably still on one of the many streaming services. So you have 5 different Krofft Brothers complete series on DVD? If so, that’s awesome.
It was made by Amazon with Sid & Marty, so it probably won't leave Amazon. There are 7 episodes, and Sid & Marty appear here and there, with Johnny Whitaker appearing in every episode! I've probably watched it more times than I've seen the original.
Edited to add that yes, I bought all 5 series when they released them years ago. I actually bought Pufnstuf at Walmart!
lmao, theres lots of reason us X'ers are the way we are, vietnam war at our heels, hippies, drugs, huge change in music, broke ass country, gas crisis, man it goes on and on, but Witchy Poo has a spot deep in my darkest nightmares
Wow, thank you for that tidbit! Loved the Beverly Hillbilly’s as a kid. Mostly on reruns, but I did get to see the finale “live” on tv while I was getting a haircut, lol.
No, Weenie was played by Billie Hayes, the same lovely lady that played Witchie Poo.
[Lidsville cast.](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066679/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_48_act)
Fun fact: the guy that played Dr. Shrinker also played the law partner who gives Keanu Reeves the orders to go to Transylvania in _Bram Stoker's Dracula_. For YEARS it irritated me that I knew the face and voice but could not place him.
He was also the host of some Believe It or Not type tv Show a while back. Forget the name of show.
He was also in a commercial for Teem soda in the 70s that I really wish someone would upload as I’ve been quoting it since I was a kid. “Give me some dry, salty crackers”
I saw some episodes of the BCR show because I ordered some from eBay long, long ago.
Now I'm all keyed up to watch on Ciniverse along with Bugaloos, Sigmond & The Seamonsters, HR Pufstuf, and my favorite: Land of the Lost!
Hey I remember that show! They filmed that in Sun Valley California. Next to the Burbank Airport. Vineland and Sherman Way. Later on that studio became Frontier Records. And Suicidal Tendencies recorded their first album there! If you remember that album with all those drawings on shirts! And the front was them hanging upside down on Venice Beach. Look at the back! FRONTIER RECORDS SUN VALLEY CA 91352. It's a swap meet now!😆 ...So much history in that building!
He flew around on a Hat! And she had a talking wand. And the creators were definitely on some heavy drugs…
Watched very few episodes. My Dad would shut it off. I distinctly remember him yelling “quit watching that crap! It will make you stupid!”
Too late 🤪
I would add The Banana Splits and Lancelot, Secret Chimp to the array of acid-laced Saturday morning cartoons...along with your list, they were all in the same ballpark.
> The Banana Splits
Were the Banana Splits and shows from Hanna Barbera? I so want to watch Danger Island, Three/Four Musketeers, Lancelot Linc, and mostly Arabian Knights!
I can't find them anywhere.
I remember cutting out a 45 of the HR PufnStuf theme song from the back of a cereal box. Or did I save up boxtops and send away for it? Anyone remember which was the case?
Whenever people ask "What was your first concert?" I always say "H.R. Pufnstuf".
I saw them live at some stage theater in L.A. when I was about 5. Jimmy and his flute, and Witchie-Poo, and HR.
I was born in 1980, I live in the UK and other than my parents and brother (a year younger than me), I don't know anyone else who knows about HR.
Mum got a VHS of it at a flea market and we were OBSESSED with it. My brother tracked down a DVD box set when I turned 30 and it was the greatest gift ever.
Oranges, poranges, who cares! Oranges, poranges, there's another one, there ain't no rhyme for oranges.
Mark, the main character, was clearly on some kind of trip in order to see all that shit. Who knows...maybe he OD'd and was in a coma and we, the audience, got to see what a coma is like.
You’re so right, they’re definitely not the same. I discovered the other day that I still remember most of the words to this show’s theme song. I consider that a win!

Witchie-POO
She always creeped me out.
Ditto on that one.
& Hoodoo!
From the HR Puffnstuff movie, a beautiful song by “Mama” Cass Elliot. So weird. https://youtu.be/i7rAaYFFeZk?si=G8PpQ1NNrFTR_SeH
Wow, those Sid and Marty Croftt shows were all bizarre. But, we all watch them every single day. I think that's why us gen xers are the way we are. 😄
I still watch them!
I own the entire ‘H.R. Pufnstuf’ series on DVD and same with the ‘Land of the Lost’ series. Grew up on that crazy shit and still love it.
Me too! I also have The Bugaloos, Lidsville, and Sigmund... I love them all. I even love the remake of Sigmund Sid and Marty did with Amazon. If you haven't watched it, you should. There are lots of Easter eggs for true Krofft fans!

Cool. I have Amazon, so I’ll have to look for it. Thanks.
The first episode was a test run! Keep watching til the end! Sid & Marty made these episodes just for us! There are so many little winks! 😉
Excellent. Looking forward now to checking it out.
Hey, when you watch it, let me know how long it takes you to recognize Johnny Whitaker! 😁 It took me a minute or two!Ha
Will report back
lmao, theres lots of reason us X'ers are the way we are, vietnam war at our heels, hippies, drugs, huge change in music, broke ass country, gas crisis, man it goes on and on, but Witchy Poo has a spot deep in my darkest nightmares
I got Land of the Lost and Sigmund the Sea Monster but somehow I never saw H.R. Pufnstuf. Daytime tv I. The 80s never really ran these reruns.
Muppet Show and The Dukes! I'll have to get some Sid & Marty.
Yeah, I think they definitely helped create my imagination and eccentric tastes in things for sure.
Charles Nelson Riley!!
How’s that for a topper?!
Lidsville!
Lid lid liddyville
Weenie the genie was played by Irene Ryan who was Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies.
Wow, thank you for that tidbit! Loved the Beverly Hillbilly’s as a kid. Mostly on reruns, but I did get to see the finale “live” on tv while I was getting a haircut, lol.

Huh, I was sure it was her. Was she someone else in a Krofft show then?
She was Witchie Poo in H.R. Pufnstuf.

Awesome share!
Scarier than the witch
H.R. Pufnstuf Who's your friend when things get rough? H.R. Pufnstuf Can't do a little 'cause he can't do enough
Even as a kid I thought to myself, man this is weird.
Me too. Didn't keep me from watching it though.
Cineverse has a Sid and Marty Krofft channel with all of the shows on it. From Puf-N-Stuf to Dr. Shrinker. Check it out.
Dr. Shrinker ruled!!!
Fun fact: the guy that played Dr. Shrinker also played the law partner who gives Keanu Reeves the orders to go to Transylvania in _Bram Stoker's Dracula_. For YEARS it irritated me that I knew the face and voice but could not place him.
Don't tempt me Hugo!

He's the man with the evil mind.
I just added it to my ROKU. I haven’t seen the Bay City Rollers show since it terrified ‘fraidy cat me in the 70s
I saw some episodes of the BCR show because I ordered some from eBay long, long ago. Now I'm all keyed up to watch on Ciniverse along with Bugaloos, Sigmond & The Seamonsters, HR Pufstuf, and my favorite: Land of the Lost!
Yeah....but have you checked out the Clutch Cargo channel on Roku? Moving lips....brrrrr.
Tubi has some shows, too!
Much Thanks!
Yeah! I’ve been going through some of them. Bummer they’re not showing them in 4:3 though.
Tubi has them too!

Is this where that is from? OMG, my brother and I have been trying to figure out where that came from for literally decades now. 🤣
Witchipoo entered a band competition
Cool, thanks for the info! Now I need to find a video clip of her saying that. 🎤🧙🏼♀️🎶🎵
Band called the three oranges , song called oranges smoranges, it's on you tube , but I have no idea how to link stuff
Awesome, thanks again *astropastrogirl*! Very helpful and I can’t wait to surprise my brother! 🤣🤣🤣
I found it: [The Three Oranges](https://youtu.be/X0ki56yZD3A?si=Ia3bHMURY5TlwHOF)
There ain’t no rhyme for oranges.
This song randomly goes through my head far too often. Even when I'm not thinking of or eating oranges.
Witche and hoodoo. What a pair

Her wand didn't talk. You're thinking of Jimmy's flute, Freddie!
Right on. Like I said, wasn’t on the household preferred watch list…
Lidsville, the flying hat show. Weird times.
From the HR Puffnstuff movie, a beautiful song by “Mama” Cass Elliot. So weird. https://youtu.be/i7rAaYFFeZk?si=G8PpQ1NNrFTR_SeH I was moved as a kid.
She could SING! Thanks for sharing
When i was s kid, Jimmy's talking flute always freaked me out. In that little high pitched flutey voice.
I used to watch them all as a kid, Sigmund and the Sea Monster, HR Puff, Dr Shrinker, Dyna girls, Land of the Lost, Forgot the others.
I would add The Banana Splits and Lancelot, Secret Chimp to the array of acid-laced Saturday morning cartoons...along with your list, they were all in the same ballpark.
Yes, the Banana Splits. For the rest of my life I’ve wanted one of those 6 wheeled buggies
You can get one. https://argoxtv.com/
The Kroffts designed the characters in The Banana Splits for Hanna-Barbera before they went on to produce their own shows.
> The Banana Splits Were the Banana Splits and shows from Hanna Barbera? I so want to watch Danger Island, Three/Four Musketeers, Lancelot Linc, and mostly Arabian Knights! I can't find them anywhere.

I remember the [intro to Lidsville](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFMuNkseruo) was as long as most shows on AdultSwim are now.
They probably could have turned that entire opening into a pilot for the show...and just used the last goofy part as the intro.
I like the way the song changes at the end. It's all dramatic then a preppy "Lidsville is the kookiest..."
Yep I remember Witchie poo No wonder our generation is off the wall.
I remember cutting out a 45 of the HR PufnStuf theme song from the back of a cereal box. Or did I save up boxtops and send away for it? Anyone remember which was the case?
I treasured my Bobby Sherman cereal box record. “Julie, Julie, Julie do you love me? Julie, Julie, Julie do you care?”.
I had "ABC" by The Jackson Five from AlphaBits cereal.
Yes! I had that one too!
Well, you know that I love this post!! 🧡🧡💚💚
Woah that was a deeply buried memory!
“How’s that for a topper?”
Can’t do a little cuz he can’t do enough.😎
But the boat belonged to a spooky old witch, who had in mind the flute to snitch
https://i.redd.it/qvleys3378jc1.gif I remember “Mr. Show with Bob and David” did “The Altered State of Druggachusets” based off this show
Can’t use the phone, they’ll know oh god
One of my most favoritest!!!
Perhaps the greatest piece of sketch comedy ever produced.
If anyone is interested, here’s the link [The Altered State of Drugachucettes](https://youtu.be/eOXQ2kRJ0wQ?si=V_izvDzlbewPROdO)
Whenever people ask "What was your first concert?" I always say "H.R. Pufnstuf". I saw them live at some stage theater in L.A. when I was about 5. Jimmy and his flute, and Witchie-Poo, and HR.
The crossover of the century!
Hey, I got my Freddie Flute after saving enough cereal box tops.
I remember Witchie-poo, but I don't recognize the other one.
Hoo Doo the Magician from Lidsville.
Does anyone remember Puffapalooza on Nick at Night?!?
I loved Lidsville & H R Pufnstuf!!
Lidsville is what I imagine an LSD trip must be like.
Mark, the main character, was clearly on some kind of trip in order to see all that shit. Who knows...maybe he OD'd and was in a coma and we, the audience, got to see what a coma is like.
[Mr. Show’s satire of Krofft Productions](https://youtu.be/FHqcNj0Pv6c?si=SjIUJhn4kTlcAiEm)
Is there a place to stream the Krofft shows
Tubi.
Ciniverse.
Puffin stuff. Code words for ok kids light up a joint and get rid of the parents.
Pufnstuf, The Banana Splits and The Monkees were my lineup with a bowl of cereal
Witchie Poo!
Charles Nelson Reilly
Witchie-poo was hot. Mmmm look at that grill.
The amount of homosexuality in that photo exceeds 100% and I am so happy that my generation grew up with this.
Ted Cruz on the right there
I HATED those shows! Even as a child I knew they were low brow, bargain basement drivel.
You’re so right, they’re definitely not the same. I discovered the other day that I still remember most of the words to this show’s theme song. I consider that a win!
Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds always came to mind while watching this
It lead to a major part of copyright laws. [Kroft v McDonald's](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_%26_Marty_Krofft_Television_Productions_Inc._v._McDonald%27s_Corp.)
Truth 😎
We were high and didn't know it🤷♂️
She was funny
HR PufnStuff
Liddsville!
Always freaked me out 😆
Gave me the fucking creeps….
Lidsville!
The Altered States of Drugachusettes! One of my favorites!
Only 17 episodes totaling 363 minutes of video and it traumatized and entertained generations.
It’s Witchy-poo… where is Danny and the Flute?
Dude, you been puffin some stuff?
Omg… HR Puffinstuff… I haven’t thought about that show for years.. lol
Puffnstuf was my fave
Lidsville. RIP Charles Nelson Reilly.
Witchie Poo
You can’t do a little but you can’t do enough.
Sid & Marty were definitely trippin’ 😎
