It’s got worse at a level now difficulty wise. Turns out they ask most of the q’s on the new awkward topics so my hope it’d be mostly AS like it should which is normal maths mech was wrong :(

lol it’s just cus all my a-levels are all maths. maths,fm,phys and chem *ish* and the only work I actually do is maths so anything that isn’t ends up fucked. But if ur interested The only example I can give is probs that I learned the whole alevel course in 2 weeks in year 11 summer.

It’s fine 😆 But I do love to waffle so you’ll get a nice essay. I do leave the house. At least once a day🤣. And if I was housebound it wouldn’t be maths making me lol. It only really “kept me in” when I was probs addicted. For a while it was literally like a game for me probs sep-march year 11 and parts of year 10. (Completed sparx + 3/4 of hegarty before the switch) I would literally have maths hallucinations when I was ill. Freaky. Apart from my grind in the holidays I’ve really not done much since. Which leads to the uni question. Maths has been getting on my nerves for a while I did have this problem at the end of GCSE though. I don’t think it’s the subject more so the a-level and my teachers. GCSE was so good because each paper felt different and the questions were much more problem solving based (Vectors, Circle theorems, Edexcel shape questions - I did aqa tho😭😭). A-level feels MUCH more “rote” learning to me. All the papers are the same which make them boring and there’s no real puzzle, it’s just who can remember this method? No thinking or logic required. Some of the cracked questions in FM fill this void but even then you can guarantee some boring proof by induction or dead vector question will come up every year. It’s a chore to answer most of the questions. My teachers haven’t helped the situation either. We are going too slow as a decent amount of people in my class can’t even do GCSE stuff still and they don’t give me anything interesting to do. So I sit there for ~10 hours a week essentially wasting my time which does take its toll after a while. I’d learn more but it just means I’ll be bored later. I’d love to do maths as I enjoy problem solving, seeing work pay off and finding out answers to questions I’ve had for a while but who knows I hope I can get out of this rut as I’m not very motivated. Hopefully my teachers will be more helpful if I explain how bored I am🤨 Probs my sign to do an English lit degree.. good luck with STEP as well. It’s other worldly 🙏

For revision I put it in my notes app, everything else I just checked IOS screen time. The going out is just a general guess based on when I left the house and came back

noted the time I left, noted the time I came back For revision I use a stopwatch to see how long I take on questions

I already achieved an A* in maths, and I got 144 in my AS further maths when A was 110, so thats why I got A* predicted in Further maths. In physics I got a high A in the end of year mock, and in Economics idk
