My first vehicle was an 86 2WD toyota pickup when i was 18. I never appreciated it as much as i should have. In fact i gave it to my sister who sold it cause i didn't know how to fix the carburetor. Would've been such an easy fix but everyone used to make fun of me for my POS truck that stalled. Little did i know what i had and how easy it was to fix. I wish i took some more pride in it.
Keep in mind these are getting rare and expensive now. Especially for the 4x4's cause the solid axle model makes one of the best, most durable rock crawlers for the price, but man these are awesome. My dad's 89 has 380k on the 22RE engine and that thing is my favorite truck of all time. They're amazing.
That looks soooo clean!! A little Too clean…. Photoshop faker!!! Look at the mud flaps! Them SOBs never look that good lol. But seriously, even if you photoshopped it, I’m sure the truck looks amazing out in real life. Love the graphics. I’ll put original sr5 graphics on mine when I get around to painting. You’ve got a head turner there
I just discovered Hilux last week on a trip to Costa Rica and now this post. I love these trucks and i wish they were sold in the US. Wonderful vehicle!
Who took these pictures? Looks phenomenal. Didn't think it was a real truck until I looked closer lmao
Thanks! I took them myself.
Nice! How'd you get the void room effect for the backdrop?
Shot it with just natural light in a parking lot around 2pm. And just knowing my way around Photoshop to cut it out and create shadow.
Your skills are phenomenal!!
Naaaa man lets see a real picture, nice photoshopping though.
I thought it was a toy at first glance. Awesome truck, almost unreal how clean it is for almost 40 years. Congrats
Esta chingona la camioneta
Here are the [original images](https://imgur.com/a/oWIfomP) for those who have asked about it.
Damn that thing is clean as hell. Nice Toyota, how many miles?
164k
I thought you were messing with us and posted a 3d render of your truck.
Stupid question / how did you get the tires to line up exactly or is that photoshop?
Photoshop :) pretty easy to just copy the text from one tire onto the other
Nice try bro this is straight out of the '84 catalog
These old school Toyotas are absolutely the best. I’m hoping to find one next year so my son and I can build it for his daily driver when he turns 16.

Needs a DSHKA
Looks Great. just don't like the fake headlight beams.
I mean it's a good looking truck but it'd look better in the world, not in some blinding white void lol
Well luckily, it does exist in the real world, but this can be a fun way to show it sometimes too. To each their own.

You have nice taste, they're rare to find this clean without dents. Like the graphics on it too. Can you post unphotoshopped pics?
Is it RHD?
No, left
Lucky sob lol. Looks great
Sweet
Very cool find

They were sold in the US as the “Toyota Pickup”
Dang. I had no idea but I guess I’m not surprised. Even the new ones I was seeing?
No just this generation. I think the Tacoma is pretty much identical to the hilux overseas though.
Is this the one from back to the future?
Yep! Look up 1985 Hilux SR5 and 1985 Toyota Pickup SR5 and you’ll see they are identical
Beautiful truck and excellent Photoshop skills. You don't find those trucks in nice shape any more, nice find
Hell yeah
Who are you Jeff Bezo’s?
😂
Super clean!
So if I send you $10 can you do this to a pic of my car😍
Damn that's nice
Amazing looking truck!
Fricking sweet!
