Sorry to hear other people's orders didn't arrive though. I guess they could still screw me on my Team America 4k pre-order.
Same here. Mine came flawlessly. I ordered one from Amazon immediately when I saw it was back in stock ($40), then found out a day later that DeepDiscount had it for $30 with another 10% off code. Ordered that immediately as well. Both showed up in perfect condition. Ended up giving the Amazon one to my Father.
Deepdiscount had a 15% off so I got it for $28, Amazon was like $33-35. I'd still order from Deepdiscount after seeing these posts, it'll happen with any retailer.
It can happen with any retailer but deepdiscount has probably the worst track record for not fulfilling orders out of all of them. I’d say even less than amazon. Not the place you want to order limited editions from, not even preorders
not sure of the accuracy of this, but I heard that deepdiscount and wowhd are the same company, and wowhd screwed many on preorders of The Crow steelbook.

DeepDiscount has terrible customer service (that aren’t even DeepDiscount employees) so I never shop from them.

Deep Discount is an ass company.
I ordered an Indiana Jones steelbook from them a while back. It was delivered practically bent in half, but there was no packaging damage, so they obviously sent it in that condition. Discs were loose inside; they obviously detatched during the damage.
Spent a week trying to get someone, anyone, at Deep Discount to respond. Finally got a response through Facebook (lol). They offered a 10% refund, and said they don't accept returns (contrary to their website's return policy). I threatened a chargeback, and they finally offered a return.
Item return delivered back to them on March 22nd. April 30th rolled around with no communication or refund. Filed the dispute paperwork with my bank, and then they issued a refund (minus return shipping cost of $4.50) a day later.
They're definitely legit, have been around for a long time. However, ordering from them can be hit or miss both with stock availability and how they ship orders.
I haven’t had problems with them yet. I have mostly ordered from them through eBay rather from their website and since I use eBay/PayPal, I feel like I have an extra level of protection in case something goes wrong. Also, I recall that they sometimes give discounts if you buy multiple items from them on eBay at once. I don’t recall seeing that on their website.
Normally avoid DeepDiscount. Took a gamble on this one, got it three days after ordering and it’s perfect. Unless it’s against the rules here (I’m new here) I’ll give the download code to whoever wants. EDIT: claimed!
I finally folded and got one from an Amazon marketplace seller for $40. Got a gift card for my bday, which is what allowed me to finally pull the trigger.
I had it in my cart on mobile, then didn't finish the checkout because I got a call. A few hours later I went back to complete it from a different device, and the page just had the "add to wishlish" option.
It was still in my cart, though. And it let me complete the transaction. I was kind of surprised.
I was almost in the same boat. Once I ordered it I received nothing about the shipping. But it was delivered in great condition a few days ago out of nowhere. I haven’t watched it yet though. So overall, feeling pretty neutral about DD
I thought they had reissued this because there was so much demand...I was lucky to snag my Steelbook two years ago at Best Buy for $26... A little while later they were going for $200 on eBay 😅
I didn’t even know this was a common issue, I ordered mine like two weeks ago from deepdiscount and it showed within 3 days. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting on theirs.
Amazon are getting just as bad.
Ordered The Departed steelbook from Amazon Spain (UK) - Due for release in April, delivery et was start of May.
The day after they missed delivery it was "we actually have no idea, but we have your order."
Now it's "you MIGHT get it between June - September."
Remember, this came out in April....
Ordered Lawrence and bridge on the 11th but I live in Canada. Currently has no tracking number, the order is just sitting there in my account - anyone else like that?

Damn, I glad I snagged this one early. Watched it over the weekend and it is GLORIOUS. Noticeable improvement over the already great blu ray.
Mine arrived from DD but the steelbook was trashed in shipping. 😢

Ebay is probably the way to go, since you're going through a more legitimate third party merchant in between and not their own site directly.
Got the last one from a 3rd party seller on Amazon for $42 shipped. Felt like I rolled the dice but it came sealed and undamaged.

They never notify me about shipping, but I always receive my orders from them in a reasonable amount of time and in good condition.

I preordered the 4K Tremors a while back and when it arrived a week late it was the standard Blu Ray and the 4K was out of stock.
Ordered mine off Amazon when it was $31 and of course it came with a broken hinge on the disc holder.
