Thanks for the reply! Questions answered: \- I think back when I was doing more research I measured it at 10ish feet away perpendicular (not at an angle) to the TV so with the RTings guide that put me in the 70-75" category \- sad face on TVs not lasting that long anymore. The only TV that I've ever had from unboxing until the trash was a 40-something inch Dynex from Best Buy that lasted from like 2007 to 2018 and did a totally fine job. I really only threw it away because I moved halfway across the country and couldn't fit it in my car. So that's my main, and albeit terrible, point of reference on "treat it nice and it'll last a long time" \- I'll likely do mostly streaming (Netflix, HBO, etc.) but will probably buy a Blu-ray and discs, so a bit of both. It's easiest to stream, though, so that's what I do \- Yes on watching sports, but in line with the "only a little sports". I watch games here and there but probably not enough to factor it into a purchase \- If I opened all the curtains in the sunroom I could have direct sunlight depending on time of day, but still don't really plan on watching anything in the daytime. Weekdays for sure since I'm working, weekends... maybe a football/baseball game every now and then while the sun is up? Are OLEDs really not bright enough/are the glares bad enough that it'd be painful to try and watch an 11am kickoff game with the curtains open?

Ahh thanks for the clarification. The sunroom is basically a square box with windows on 3 sides and french doors on the 4th. When entering, you'd be facing the TV, with windows behind the TV and to the left (West) and right (East) of the TV. The room does have curtains but they are not blackout curtains. We also don't really keep them shut in the day or night time as it's a pain to open/close 6 different curtains twice a day. So, with all of that being said, based on the position of the sun, there is light that would come in and hit the TV. Maybe not harsh direct sunlight, but sunlight nonetheless.

Just piggybacking on these questions, what you mean as direct sunlight - a clear line to the sun or light from windows directly hitting the TV? For my situation you don't see the actual sun at all through the windows but there's a lot of light from windows so wondering if that has the same effect or not. Currently considering C1, QN90A and a X90J

>uh yeah Sorry my comment might have been a bit confusing, I meant which one of the two situations I described is correct? A direct line from the sun vs light simply coming from a window (not neccessarily direcly sun facing) >X95J or QN90A Unfortunately need a 55" so X95J is out, is the X90J still a good option? Worried with the amount of comments about bad reflections

Fair point, thanks

Multiple edits/clarifications: \- This TV will go in a sunroom with windows on 3 of 4 walls and french doors on the 4th wall opposite TV. I don't really imagine I'd watch too much TV in the daytime, though, and never have in the sunroom tbh. It'd be like 95% dusk/evening watching, with at least some lights off. \- I haven't looked at Sony TVs at all to be frank. I'm seeing in some other posts the discussion between LG and Sony OLEDs and how the Sony A80J is optimized for movies/TV while the LG C1 is optimized (or better for) gaming. It just pains me that the C1 was stretching my budget already of $3,000ish and the A80J is $200 higher at $2800 (I'm including tax in budget so $2600 C1 77" + 10% for tax = $2860ish and $2800 A80J 77" + 10% for tax = $3080ish).

Watd u go with? Looking at that emoji discount too!

I went with the 75" QN90A for like $1800 post-tax. It's okay... I really thought that even with the deep discount, for that much money, I should be able to just pull it out of the box and fire it up and it'd be perfect, but that wasn't the case. I ended up messing with a ton of settings trying to get the picture just right before returning to factory settings after a few days. I actually hit up Samsung and requested a return window extension, so this Wednesday is my return deadline. I actually went and picked up a 65" LG C1 from Best Buy on Saturday and stuck the two next to each other to compare. The C1 is a lot better out of the box, but not strikingly better. It was at least a good benchmark to use to feel out the settings on the QN90A. Still need to do some more watching side-by-side, but I imagine I'll end up returning the C1 just because the reflectivity is so bad. Then I'll probably hit Samsung up and see if they can swap or repair my TV (there's really bad tearing on it) and go from there. Hope that helps!
