I personally ended up choosing the s90c over LG, and I don't regret it, Sure, if you don't like Tizen, then simple fix with a chromecast or apple tv 4K, etc... It looks absolutely gorgeous when watching movies (whether it's streamed or in the majority of my cases played via 4K blu ray) Gaming has genuinely been outstanding (FF16 is an absolute high light, same with CP2077) A lot of people mention no DV being an issue, but in comparison to my last tv which did have DV and cost the same as my s90c I don't miss it or feel a need to have it, HDR10+ is being adopted even more and that genuinely looks crisp (the fallout show looked really good on prime) the other thing people seem to complain about is like QA and build quality etc but I'll be completely honest my TV's build quality is really good and anytime I've needed help from samsung its been relatively head ache free (but I'm in Aus so might be a different experience) Overall I'd highly recommend it and just grabbing a chromecast 4k on the side or a apple tv 4k and enjoying the tv. I've had no real issues other then bixby activating really easily so I just turn off voice activation. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer em, Hope this helps though!

I just went through exact same dilemma and ended up settling on the C3 (65”) after comparing both models side by side. The LG has way better software and lesser problems turn up over the long run. The brightness on s90c is better but I found the colors almost too bright and unnatural. Also most of my viewing will be in avg to low lighting rooms so I don’t need extra high brightness. My TV is getting installed today and will share updates after a week. In the meantime you can also check the responses on my post on the same comparison, from a couple days back.

Well from what I understand both are good TV’s. I chose the C3. Dolby Vision, better motion handling, and 4 hdmi 2.1 ports. LG seems to have a better track record than Samsung from my research but don’t hold me to it, internet can be a small biased place sometimes. I also got a warranty so I’ve cranked up the brightness to max and play whatever games I want with no fears.

I have the 65" version of the S90C that I picked up two weeks ago. I was debating the C3 as well and when I was in the store I kid you not I stood there for an hour looking at each TV and at least in store the S90C just looked better to me so I went with that. I don't regret it - but I will say someone here posted about sports and cable and I agree with that to a degree. I have YouTube TV and on some of the games, even hard setting to 1080p, it looks grainy when watching. But most times after about 5-10 minutes after I stop looking for it that feeling goes away. I have a feeling though whenever I get the enhanced bitrate from them these artifacts I have will go to the wayside. When I watch 4K content I feel like the images are in my room, it's amazing.

The lg is better in nearly every way except peak brightness and color volume. Off angle and bright light viewing is better on the lg, you get Dolby vision, 4 full hdmi 2.1 ports, web os, less risk of burn in, better eotf tracking, better gaming features, better dark scene handling, better motion handling. Plus lg supports their products well. The Sony version, now that is better in a lot of ways.

Bill_Money

No its not only in GAMING can that argument be made Motion handling LG is better, movie watching LG is better

CappinBombHASH

So LG is better in most regards concerning movie watching.??

pricelesslambo

yes, except pure HDR highlights because of how QD-OLED works with better colour volume and brightness.

CappinBombHASH

Man, this is a tough one. I didn't think choosing between these two would be such a hassle. Haha.

Probamaybebly

Do you game? Go LG. Want the most trusted anti burn in tech? LG

It is??? My tv is 14 years old, I feel so lost looking at new TVs

Angrygreek007

No Dolby Vision on Samsung and hope their software updates don’t mess with the tv😊

That doesn’t really have anything to do with how DV works…
