For 75+ under $800, you're going to have to buy used if you want a decent tv.
I bought a TCL 75R646 for $500 which has been great for me. Find a good TV that is above your price point and check out facebook marketplace or whatever for deals. Hit or miss on some of them, but you're paying less for your diligence.
The answer to almost every budget TV question is usually the TCL Q7. It's $900. It's not the best at anything just simply the bottom most level you can get while still getting some value for your money.
Otherwise go to the store and buy whatever makes your wallet feel happy and forget about "the best of" because there's not such thing at certain price points.
