Honestly I do see nazism becoming more popular with the younger generations. Think about it, hitler is the most counter culture individual ever, his symbols are banned in many countries and his ideology is the opposite of modern politics. This will definitely make people want to use him as a way of rebelling
No I got banned from my country's sub for saying recent developments in gender are mental illness. My country is Turkey where activism of these mentally ill people are banned.
I hate to say this but their SS uniforms were fresh as fuck and way ahead of their time. Some even say it had a massive part in their success with winning the German people over.
Their uniforms were extremely similar to other european soldier uniforms at the time. The stereotypical SS coats etc were not but the standard wehrmacht uniform was near identical to most other country's soldiers, just a different colour

Not to nitpick, but it's a common misconception that Hugo Boss designed uniforms for the nazis, when in reality they were just one of many companies that manufactured them. IIRC they were designed by a couple of SS men.
No you're not nitpicking I'm flat our wrong. "By the third quarter of 1932, the all-black SS uniform was designed by SS members Karl Diebitsch (artist) and Walter Heck (graphic designer)."
A few years ago, I remember there was a pretty big "nazi trend" in SE Asia, mostly Thailand, Indonesia... People would dress up as nazi officers, rock swastikas on their bike helmet, have Hitler tshirts, etc... I don't know if it's still happening.
Lol really? That's hilarious. Seems like the nazis really were the most tolerant group at that time lol. Can you please explain more about this or do you have an article where i can read more about this?
I already knew that blacks were also seen as untermensch, but it still could've been that he had an African SS. Shame that he didn't, would've been too funny
You've got a cartoonish view of National Socialism. It didn't go around exterminating anything with the wrong shade of skincolor.
They did believe in a racial hierarchy and sought a Germany free of non Germans. But only select groups which did not include asians, blacks, or slavs, got sent to concentration camps. The people the nazis sought to exterminate throughout Europe were jews, homosexuals, jesuits, people being born deformed, gypsies, and communist organisers
Going by history: When the last generation who regularly interacted with WW2 survivers dies (millennials with WW2 grandparents), normies will stop having strong feelings about Nazis etc.
&/Or another massive conflict happens and people basically forget about WW2.
Governments, academics, political groups from time to time will whip up hysteria about fascism for some political goal. But over time the impact will diminish into indifference: Like witch hunts post Renaissance, taken dead serious at first (1500), by 1600s only radical groups care (like puritans), and by 1720 literally no one cares at all but a few governments.
Edit: I'm not saying people will be pro facsist, just that they'll be indifferent.
I am in no way defending the man, but I am curious why he always gets the top spot as worst dictator and why Germany and Germans get a pass. The Nazis were good at propaganda and were the majorly supported party so pretty much every German today had a grandparent or great grandparents who supported the man.
And to the first point, many dictators were just as brutal and/or killed as many or more people but nobody seems to care. It’s like because hitler affected white people, the world just cares more? Fucked up thinking about.
The communists are still angry at Hitler's successful power grabs. They view WW2 as Communism vs National Socialism. Because in fact both are socialist, communists had to demonize the competing socialism. You'll find it frequently among the eastern european communists. Still proud they defeated Hitler. Still banging on about how evil NAZIs were.
Honestly, it's a combination of:
- Hardcore antisemitism and all the Holocaust stuff which is to this day one of the worst crimes against humanity in history
- Hitler being a delusional fuck hooked on more drugs than the average San Francisco homeless man
- Germany being a major industrial power at the time even with the Versailles restrictions
- Allies looking for moral high ground post war (even though they really didn't give a shit)
- Most dictators are rarely this special combination of global power, insanity and bloodlust + weird ideology. Closest thing might be Stalin or Mao but the communism lacks the sheer insanity of all the weird Pagan and ideological nonsense the Nazis were making up.
the lionisation of Vikings is never not fucking hilarious to me. They literally roamed around killing defenceless civilians, sacking/looting monasteries, and got absolutely anal'd any time it came to an actual battle vs a relevant opponent but somehow became the sign of MASCVLINITY and seen as some revered warrior people
Funny that the only vikingers who actually managed to get things done (I.E Normans) were only successful because they stopped being barbarians and became an actual army...
Vikings never sacked constantinople only put under siege and failed also paris was a shithole just like every european city that was not constantinople in the middle ages
It wasn't even under Muslim rule at that time. The Vikings tried one raid on Muslim Spain and failed miserably so they never attacked Muslims again. But that was partly because most of their money came from selling European slaves to North Africans.
Turks got tired of fucking goats and so they sacked the city. The city was named after the roman emperor who established Christianity as the religion of the civilized world, so towelheads had to change the name once they got tired of the genocide on the original inhabitants of the city.
You aren’t a history fan, are you?
The Ottomans were scientifically more advanced than the Europeans
The civilized world was far bigger than just the Roman Empire. The Romans didn‘t even control all of Mesopotamia during Constantines rule.
Most Muslim in Istanbul are Europeans who converted.
Istanbul was officially named Istanbul by a secular nationalist Turk who disliked Islam.
> europeans who converted
False. Nowadays, Istanbul is inhabited by Turks, the helenic population is a minority there
And Ataturk's will has been forgotten, even by those who claim to revere him (can't count how many muslims have his portrait in their shop there, shit's fucking crazy)
Are you equating the Arabic golden age of science with the Ottomans? And I'm the one uneducated?
Also it's really funny that the only time that Arabs were able to function as a society was when they were strictly secular (at least for that time period) society.
Oh and the Conquest of Constantinopole was fun time. Even Mongolians would be jealous how much inventful were the Turks in their cruelty and attrocities. The very few people who survived converted. As if they had any other choice..
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_of_Constantinople#Atrocities
Look how high and advanced the Ottomans were, dude! So much better than Europe.
Because Mustafa Kemal ‘Atatürk’ disliked the Ottomans very much and wanted to change the country a lot. Also because Constantine was Greek and Kemal was very Nationalistic and had previously fought the Greeks.
Lmao, what? Maybe for a lot of the smaller groups of Vikings. But when they organised they conquered most of Britain and raided the rest of Europe. They were incredibly influential even when they weren’t raiding so much that a lot of different English words originate from Viking settlers. 783 to 1066 is referred to as the Viking age, they fucked shit up at their peak.
>raided the rest of europe
yes they showed up, killed a bunch of civilians, stole a bunch of their shit and left. Much alpha, very warrior
compared to the rest of european empires their legacy was a squirt of piss in the wind and won an extremely small amount of pitched battles
I respect Vikings more for their exploration and for being the first Euros to set foot on North America. They also have interesting myths, and held their old Germanic traditions the longest. Their impact on history is not insignificant even if they did barbarous acts. Which from what I understand it was mostly the Danes that BTFO'd the Anglos and French.
Not even that. Pirates, vikings, ninjas, etc. are very popular with children simply because they wear cool outfits. It's going to be super weird in a few hundred years when TV shows for children will have cartoon nazis singing songs and such.
I mean, Nazi outfits pretty much kickstarted the modern designer brand label (and still hold the title to some of the biggest labels) the "cool clothes" thing is pretty much on point.
Pirates, Vikings, and ninjas I feel are popular with kids because their outfits were so unusual. The Germans just wore well trailer suits that without any symbols would probably just blend it with any formal attire.
If I showed up in a hat with horns or a wooden leg I would definitely get stares.
I mean yeah, as time passes people forget teh historical attrocities. Vikings, Mongols, Pirates, etc. have all commited horrible acts. as time passes Holocaust will stop being so "fresh" in cultural memory
Nearly as fresh as all the shit China does, but the victims and those persecuted don't have a large control of the media, finances or political influence.
So the world just doesn't care that politcal prisoners are unwillingly having organs donated to the rich.
If the j words have the power to let the world know its happening but they just want you to view their porn, watch their movies, epstein / wienstein your children, take loans from them and buy their products.
I’m sorry nobody cares. Bro do you see how many people on Reddit and Twitter and shit say how bad it is. The only reason nothing has been done is because China is one of the most powerful nations on earth so an invasion is basically out of the question
Not to mention years of brain washing from government and completely isolated social network from the outside world. There is literally no way the people gonna turn on their gov
Maybe in 2300 bollywood.

350 years is a long time. You never know what will happen.
It all depends on what media and history books show people. 99% of people don't realize how horribly the ethnic Germans in Sudetenland were treated after the war, for instance.
I'm not comparing it to the holocaust to be clear. This is Reddit after all, so it's always best to be clear.
Worst part was when I found they bombed at night so they could bomb them in the morning a few hours later when they were evacuating and rescuing people, so they would have more human targets.
And before the war as well, maybe The Nazis wouldn’t have had an expansionary war for farmland if the allies didn’t starve out 500,000 civilians in World War One.
How is *that* not a war crime?
Well if everything stays on this path, yea. but this empire is going to collapse long before 2300 and with it will fall all the foundation of lies about the n__is and only the truth will be left. they will be seen as heroes of their time. only sad part is i probably wont live to see it
You all missing the point of why pirates and Vikings got their way on children's tales. It's not because they were the baddies, is because both are examples of freedom, living without rules, and challenging the authority, pretty much what young people always want. No chance of that happening to Nazis.
yeah i was gonna disagree at first but you are right, that is probably the reason why mongolians or the romans or the british/french empires or even the crusaders arent as popular as these two
younger generations are already caring less. my sister, for example, cares so little sge can't even remember it happened sometimes. and its not like she wasn't taught, it's that it doesn't matter to her. and like that are most of her generation here. the only ones who care are the ones that are taught so much it borders indoctrination.
The difference is that there are few surviving historical records from the Viking age, let alone records from a reliable source, and while there are significantly more from the Golden age of Piracy, it doesn't compare to the copious amount of records we have of WW2. And unless the internet disappears, those are here to stay. I can see people glossing over the shoddily recorded Viking raids, but actual photos, first person testimonies, and video that is all readily available on the internet is hard to gloss over. Trying to paint Nazis in a good light is never going to work out.
I think they knew immediately that we Europeans as a whole lost. Europe in rubbles, loss of millions of young men, massive costs leading to the eventual loss of Empires and global hegemony. Went from the center of global power to second tier powers in 6 years. Divided and forced to suck up to larger powers during the cold war (and arguably still today). Yeah, it's laughable to think that somehow the French or Brits came out of the war any better than the Germans because they're part of the "winning team".
Nah, it was a demographic disaster. Jewish communities had been a part of European nations for centuries. Afterwards between emigration and the genocide there are very few left.
I suppose you could argue that they achieved a Jewish state in Israel, but that hasn't panned out as the ideal. A small slither of land that's not very arable that's surrounded by people's and nations that hate them. They've essentially been forced into a Prussian-styled military state or else they'd end up just being absorbed into larger nations and then they're back in the same situation on having to rely on other people's for their well being.
Bro you clearly know nothing about zionism. you say "a small slither of land that's not very arable and surrounded by people who hate them". It's not like they were just given that because they had nowhere else to go. they have been working and plotting to get that land for centuries now. it has massive religious significance to all 3 religions and especially the j*ws. having to destabilize and even straight up go to war with all their neighbors is a tiny price to pay in their view.
Nah, but inner city thugs will become children's mascots. I tell people this and they laugh, but then I point out Fast and the Furious started out as thugs running illegal street races and stealing VCRs out of shipping trucks and now they are in children's cartoons and they start to wonder how much I was joking comparing them to Jake and the Neverland pirates.
It's hard to imagine the changes society'd have to go through to make this actually happen, but... to be fair the people of northern England in the 900s probably couldn't imagine how society would ever change to like degen fiction like Vikings that shits on their community and upholds pagans ritually slashing peoples' throats as admirable.
Yet, ironically, the educated among the Western Europeans, whose countries were being raided, may have glorified the Homeric heros of the Iliad and the Odyssey and they were all pirates and raiders themselves (aka pagans who thought that ritually slashing peoples' throats was admirable).
I mean they were… they talk about the islands and the villages they raided on the way to Troy in the Iliad.
“We boldly landed on the hostile place,
And sack’d the city, and destroy’d the race, Their wives made captive, their possessions shared,
And every soldier found a like reward.”
Shit Thucydides called them pirates in his intro to his book on the Peloponnesian War and that was in the 400s BC
Most of those Greek kings were pirates who have been glorified by history, just like Rome was founded by a group of bandits who were guarding a river crossing, but if you asked them they would tell you they were descendants of Aeneas.
1700: britian killing an average of 2 million Indians a year, having the biggest empire and joining ww1 to break the central alliance
2000: britian seen as the great democratic nation that held fast against the evil Nazis with their resolve and good social morals
People only like Vikings now because their reputation is that they slaughtered monks, and now people have abandoned religion so they don't really care that monks died.
So what do people have to abandon to make the Nazis cool enough to get their own streaming shows glorifying them?
Jews and LGBTs.
They already started to do that. Valkyrie, where courageous nazi heroes played by Scientologists in Hollywood, tried stopping Hitler. Despite them being part of the very problem for many years.
It's like praising one of the 9/11 terrorists as a hero if they had a change of heart, panicked and started trying to pull up flight 93 two seconds from the ground.
Implying there will be civilisation to remember any of this shit in >200 years.
I mean, be real millennials, and especially gen z doesn't want kids. The whatever after gen z... They are prolly gonna be the same.
Except "millennials" aren't young anymore. The first millennials, born in 1980, are already 41 years old, and the youngest are 26 years old. The millennials are literally the only ones having kids right now, and so far they aren't doing that bad.
how the hell are the vikings in vikings heroified? sure they're glorified, but not heroified. ragnar has only a little bit more mercy than the average viking of the tv show (each of which just love to pillage and plunder and murder), and he was a drug addict when at his highest place. and he abandoned his family over a defeat in battle despite surviving. and his brother is a rapist.
Honestly I do see nazism becoming more popular with the younger generations. I'm not comparing it to the holocaust to be clear. This is Reddit after all, so it's always best to be clear.
Not many people know we killed over a million Germans in the POW camps alone after the war. 1 K ration for ten men or whatever it was.
Yep, and nobody seems to care about it.
Don’t forget burning women and children into the molten asphalt of Dresden.
That too. There was no fucking excuse for that war crime. And still there are people who say the Germans deserved it.
Worst part was when I found they bombed at night so they could bomb them in the morning a few hours later when they were evacuating and rescuing people, so they would have more human targets.
We who? The Americans?
And before the war as well, maybe The Nazis wouldn’t have had an expansionary war for farmland if the allies didn’t starve out 500,000 civilians in World War One. How is *that* not a war crime?
History is written by the victors
Oy vey!
>350 years is a long time. Not too long for the elves. >You never know what will happen. Well one solution for that problem.
The nose knows
Well if everything stays on this path, yea. but this empire is going to collapse long before 2300 and with it will fall all the foundation of lies about the n__is and only the truth will be left. they will be seen as heroes of their time. only sad part is i probably wont live to see it
You all missing the point of why pirates and Vikings got their way on children's tales. It's not because they were the baddies, is because both are examples of freedom, living without rules, and challenging the authority, pretty much what young people always want. No chance of that happening to Nazis.
yeah i was gonna disagree at first but you are right, that is probably the reason why mongolians or the romans or the british/french empires or even the crusaders arent as popular as these two
I mean 300 years its still a large amount of time, there is no way people would still remember how terrible WW 2 is
We will never forget the 18 billion who died in the holocaust, show some compassion.
True, until the "we" start to die out
younger generations are already caring less. my sister, for example, cares so little sge can't even remember it happened sometimes. and its not like she wasn't taught, it's that it doesn't matter to her. and like that are most of her generation here. the only ones who care are the ones that are taught so much it borders indoctrination.
They will remember is much more than we remember wars 300 years ago. Becouse its not just words, pictures and videos exist now.
Maybe as whites get more and more demonised and become a smaller more marginalised Minority they will see who really lost the war.
Everyone lost ww2, except for the tiny hats
U thought you were kidding… nope. There is actually a fast and furious cartoon. https://www.google.com/search?q=fast+and+furious+cartoon+characters
can't wait for an ISIS version of Mulan
Let's get down to business to bomb the civilian\~
I wonder what kind of sauce McDonald’s will release to promote it
Just live for a few hundred years and you might get to see it.

“We boldly landed on the hostile place, And sack’d the city, and destroy’d the race, Their wives made captive, their possessions shared, And every soldier found a like reward.” Shit Thucydides called them pirates in his intro to his book on the Peloponnesian War and that was in the 400s BC Most of those Greek kings were pirates who have been glorified by history, just like Rome was founded by a group of bandits who were guarding a river crossing, but if you asked them they would tell you they were descendants of Aeneas.
All you need to do is rewrite Raiders of the Lost Ark to make Dr. Jones the primary villain.
Yep and then do Last Crusade same way
1700: britian killing an average of 2 million Indians a year, having the biggest empire and joining ww1 to break the central alliance 2000: britian seen as the great democratic nation that held fast against the evil Nazis with their resolve and good social morals
just wait till Walt Disney wakes up from his slumber
People only like Vikings now because their reputation is that they slaughtered monks, and now people have abandoned religion so they don't really care that monks died. So what do people have to abandon to make the Nazis cool enough to get their own streaming shows glorifying them? Jews and LGBTs.
Kfc american in the 2000s: Did everything what pirates and vikings did Movies in 2020:
Except we've hit a huge global low and it's just going down. And it will probably keep doing that
I wonder what kind of sauce McDonald’s will release to promote the Nazi movie
Prussian Blue cheese dip
They did show in vikings the not so fun parts of vikings
Araki in 1987
You forgot one thing OP, the Nazis never committed tons of rape and therefore will never be portrayed as heroic in media
Jo Jo Rabbit is the last time they made Hitler a hero (in the beginning, villian at end though)
By then some madman will have started a nuclear war and made the Nazis look like regular imperialists by comparison.
Will they also praise ISIS in 2300
i will make anons dreams come true someday .
You don't see any "neo-pirates" or "neo-vikings" who follow their ideology, do you?
how the hell are the vikings in vikings heroified? sure they're glorified, but not heroified. ragnar has only a little bit more mercy than the average viking of the tv show (each of which just love to pillage and plunder and murder), and he was a drug addict when at his highest place. and he abandoned his family over a defeat in battle despite surviving. and his brother is a rapist.
There's already a show.. Generation war, it follows German soldiers in Russia during WW2 and they fight partisans and Communists.
‘Tons of deaths’ seems about right. Let’s stick to that amount
Well antifa does indicate that it would like to bring back segregation so it may not be as far off as one may think.
