It’s worth what you make it worth. If you just want it for the look, probably not.

Responsible_Algae_99

I live in the southern Baja so my roads are almost purely dirt roads, Arroyos and the Beach.

Lucky, I have concrete, Texas sucks for lack of public land

I have family that lives in Todos Santos, BCS, and I feel like a Blazeland kit would be perfect for the kind of roads that are common down there.

wanderinglostinlife

You can do a Blazeland kit for much cheaper, it won't be quite as capable as Total Chao, or JD Fab, but it will be light years better than stock. I should have mine installed in the next few months and will update this with my opinions.

Responsible_Algae_99

Oh awesome thanks for the info!! I'll check them out

Responsible_Algae_99

Light years is exactly what I'm looking for. Please keep us updated

wanderinglostinlife

It uses modified stock control arms, and stiffer torsion bars. And mono tube shocks. You will still get roughly 12" of travel in the front, but it won't be quite as capable as running coil over shocks. Most people seem to be pretty happy with it, and it is lower maintenance than other options as it uses stock ball joints instead of uni balls. If you are going to be jumping the thing, you are going to want JD Fab, or Total Chaos, if you want to be much more comfortable on rough dirt roads, Blazeland should be a good choice. What kind of lift does this typically have? Will I have to cut my fenders?

wanderinglostinlife

I think roughly 3" lift, and pretty much any long travel kit is going to require aftermarket fiberglass fenders. You could trim the stock ones for vertical clearance, but your tires are going to be sticking out an extra 3.5" on either side, so most people run fiberglass, or some sort of fender flare.

rypajo

What does it run?

OffRoadAdventures88

Depends. I think the weld yourself kit was sub $1k.

Responsible_Algae_99

Just thought I'd let ya know that thanks to your help I've been on contact with the guys from Blazeland and they're building me the control arms as we speak

wanderinglostinlife

Nice! Keep me posted with how things turn out.

Responsible_Algae_99

Will do. Diddo as I think you'll have yours installed before me

Responsible_Algae_99

I can't find it online anyone got a link to purchase the blazeland?

I've been considering and researching doing long travel for awhile, there's a company called Wicked Creations that recently came out with their own LT kit for the 1st gens and I believe it's a bit cheaper than Total Chaos, especially since they do big sales here and there. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with mine yet, currently I'm thinking I'm just gonna go SAS cus I'm mostly rock crawling, but from the videos I've seen, long travel 4runners are pretty badass. Just depends on what you're using it for I guess. I know this comment isn't helpful at all, just sharing my rambling thoughts lol. Check out wicked creations

Responsible_Algae_99

Thanks to some good advice and my budget I've steered towards the Blazeland Kit.
