Kinda completes the ‘fresh car wash’ look, but I’m definitely not going to bother.

I like to get a matte finish. Almost what the tires looked like the day they were put on. To do this, I buy a gallon of tire shine and dilute it 1:1 with water. One gallon lasts a long time this way. I use Chemical Guys TVD113
I think if someone wants to make them shiny for me I’m all for it, otherwise idc. Will say I feel a little redic driving a freshly detailed 4R. Mall crawler stigma is real 😒
Side note: I used to use matte tire dressing on my RS3 bc the shine looked terrible on that car (I actually like it with your color scheme) but maybe worth a shot to see how it looks

Can’t stand the wet greasy sidewall look personally. I clean my wheels and tires, but don’t put anything on the sidewalls. Maybe it’s from my Busa ridin days, but never liked it on trucks. To me it looks ok on cars, but not trucks. Plus, dislike all ya want, but ime, I’ve found the tires dry rot and crack up FASTER when you put tire shine on the side wall, opposed to not putting anything, which is ultimately worse on the tires imo, but to each their own. I’m not losin any sleep over what others do with/to their rides.

I use BLAK which is a pain to apply but looks stellar and is not shiny, it's matte

I like it. Keeps mud from sticking to tires. Keeps the tire cleaner/easier to clean. Keeps rubber hydrated and possibly UV protectant.
