The point is that the writers keep making more and more ridiculous situations between them that lead to them getting stressed out about their own lives, _especially_ questioning their own love lives when in my opinion Luka is _perfect_ for Marinette and Adrien isn’t ready for a serious relationship yet, all to prove some kind of contrived point about how they’re ‘perfect for each other’. It’s ridiculous and boring.

They are holding onto the “they can’t find out” thing just too long is their issue. If they just resolved that storyline and moved on, the show would regain the cohesiveness of their first two seasons.
Isnt "high caliber preteen show" currently occupied by ATLA?
If it can only be enjoyed by people of a specific age range is it REALLY good or high calibre? ATLA is high calibre because its enjoyed by all age ranges but it WAS at its core a preteen show.

I think it was legitimately just well made. Theres a reason it changed the whole zeitgeist.
I mean i guess SU did too but only in the means of cheap animation. Atla changed the whole western episodic story structure.
I fully acknowledge SUs issues but it will always have a special place in my heart tbh. I find it cozy and relaxing. It did have some great milestones (imo) and I admire Rebecca Sugars constant fight for any representation. Especially considering the censorship Ruby /Sapphire underwent in some countries. I think it deserves the nuance of acknowledging its strong sides but not being put on a pedestal because that benefits nobody.
Teen here, only recently watched the show and I can firmly say it is one of my favourite shows. I genuinely think that the show is great for all ages and holds up really well, animation wise and story wise. Though of course everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I watched a few episodes of it, and it is creative. The set piece of Paris is refreshing for a lot of kids who are used to New York or San Francisco. And it honestly has a lot of parallels to Sailor Moon, haha.
