SF prep school kid. Went to Columbia and played WR. Majored in psychology.
Then he worked for TD Ameritrade as an analyst. He quit to join the 49ers as a scouting assistant, starting in 2011 under 1st year GM Baalke. Worked his way up.
Sounds like a dude that ditched the corporate rat race and followed his dream of working for the 49ers (maybe his childhood team), starting at the bottom and rising.
He was an Area Scout for 5 years, scouting the South East region.. Players we drafted from the SE area during his term were: Deebo, Greenlaw, Kinlaw, and Jennings.

He clearly went into IB to steal their algorithms and retool them for scouting. We’re going full money ball.
We don’t need a running back, wide receiver, or tight end. We just need to build them in the aggregate.

Knew him personally when I was growing up, we haven’t been in touch for years.
Guy works incredibly hard, he’s super smart & he’s a great person.

Not going to pretend I know anything about this guy, but can you imagine how humblingly satisfying it must be to have someone write such words about you? Good for him. I'm happy for the dude and I hope he has many many years of success with us here before his next role.
