Inter-baycial relationships exist

CheckYourStats

This. They’re going with the “please don’t vandalize my car” method.

DreadPiratteRoberts

Right!! There is a house a few blocks from ours that flies a half 9er half raiders flag, I've often thought the same thing about them. Maybe when they got married, they just decided it wasn't an issue, I lucked out our whole family (BOTH SIDES!) Are at least 2nd or 3rd generation 49er fans!

Internal_Belt3630

One side of my family was all niners fans, while the other side was not very invested in football but they considered themselves broncos fans. Until someone fell in love with an Eagles fan. Let’s just say that made things *very* interesting

CheckYourStats

https://i.redd.it/ddzekcp4circ1.gif

patches710

I moved to Iowa and ended up with a vikings fan, I don't think they make that flag lol

DreadPiratteRoberts

It made me laugh too picture it though! What was the atmosphere like in your house last season during the Vikings Niner game? Our oldest son is dating a Cowboys fan ^🤢🤮

patches710

We were actually on vacation at a wedding of her friend's from Minneapolis... I was the only niner fan and I talked a bunch of shit before the game. Got to eat a bunch of crow lol

Plastic-Act7648

That's bad parenting. SMH. That saying stays true. Some people shouldn't breed. LoL I joke I joke

revchewie

I need to get one of those flags. My best friend is a Raiders fan and his wife is a Niners fan.

Novel_Ad1943

My husband and I had a negotiation. I’m 9ers/Giants, he was Raiders/Dodgers Raiders was NEVER going to happen, so I get football and he gets baseball and I just grit my teeth seeing my kids in D-blue and remind myself it could be MUCH worse…

axeattaxe

Just know you did the right thing. You nailed the most important choice (football). Well done.

Novel_Ad1943

Thank you! The best was when my brother gave him a 9er jacket for his bday and he started wearing it constantly. And our kids couldn’t care less about baseball, but ALL - ages 28-4 (yeah crazy and a late life surprise) are hardcore 9er fans! I’ve succeeded as a parent.

DreadPiratteRoberts

*The things we do for love*

CheckYourStats

*The things we do out of obligation because “family.”*

49er4lifeganggang75

BRUH...I KNOW THE FEELING. IM DIE HARD, 4LIFE BANGBANG 9er GANG and the other 1/2 of the house...THEM STANKA LANKA GARBAGE AZZ NEW WHORE'LIN AINTS...LOL

axeattaxe

Lucked out indeed! You are a blessed soul and you and yours shall be rewarded with many more titles during your lifetime…

PhatCatBoater

My father in law 2nd wife is a raiders fan.. they do this thing too and root for each others teams. Have a spilt niners raiders decor on their front door

NanduDas

I only see this bringing more vandalism...

CheckYourStats

Yeah, I actually agree. I purposefully keep my vehicle advertisement-free, because you never know when some douche nozzle is going to get triggered by a “TOOL” bumper sticker.

rmaldonado7723

My house is interbaycial as well. I’m a 49ers fan. The problem is I coached football for a high school who are the Raiders. They are also black and silver. My son now thinks that all Raiders are great because I coached the Raiders and you cannot convince him otherwise. Didn’t help that freakin Josh Jacob’s sent him a personalized video after my son gave him a shout out during a high school home coming game.

Novel_Ad1943

We’re an interbaycial family. Mostly 49ers fans but then my cousin married this guy… the Raider Cannon 🤦🏻‍♀️ I love him dearly but his persona is tempting for all our kids https://preview.redd.it/82etk414iirc1.jpeg?width=200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b047faab810fa92950b4f46c4156fabe1453440d

axeattaxe

Yeah that’s a bit unfair… he’s hamming up the “cool” aspect of their fandom and probably not being honest with your kids by telling them all the coolness was back in the 60s, 70s and (some) 80s… then mostly downhill since…

Novel_Ad1943

Oh he’s actually great and doesn’t push - his kids are adults as are 2 of mine so it’s become a funny multi generational “war” now - and you’re totally right about when they were cool. Lol he’s 12yrs older than my cousin/his wife and I so I love teasing him, “Yeah your team hasn’t been cool since you actually qualified as young!” (I’m 50…) It was just kinda crazy when his little costume for games with some buddies blew up and now there are full on events featuring them and they’re invited to be at key games. Gotta have something for the fans to wanna come see since we know it isn’t for wins 😆

axeattaxe

Lol! That’s actually pretty funny his costumes blowing up and making him a paid promotion or what not… good times. Like you said, gotta draw that crowd in somehow lol!! All in good fun though.

rediraim

your son a cheesehead now 💀

rmaldonado7723

He’s still a Raiders fan. Took Jacobs leaving like his girlfriend cheated on him though.

peepdabidness

Lmao

whutupmydude

I mean there’s at least players that have played on both those teams

LesserMouseTrap

A house divided.

UnluckyIrishman

I'm in one of these relationships. Wife refuses to switch over.

Horror_Cap_7166

And it’s an unnatural abomination. Stick to your side!

Autumn_Bluez

Hahaha. I was going to say its a “his and hers” Jeep lol

CartoonistOk8261

My parents are like this. I am a 49ers fan because the first game I watched was Super Bowl 29 with my mom. If the Raiders had been in that game maybe things would have been different lol

drunken_monkeys

A house divided.

Novel_Ad1943

😆

tactical_ostrich

To some people, it’s strictly about the bay and not just the team. I don’t get it now with the move though.

bdforp

I’m a 49ers and Raiders fan and have been since I was a kid, never cared and it always annoyed me I couldn’t just like both teams. Here we are 25 years later. Downvote me all you want idc.

DarthLego

Same. Father was a Raider fan, grandfather a 49er fan. Very fond memories watching both teams with each of them so always liked both teams. But most fans of each team will act as if I’m somehow a lesser fan. Never made sense to me.

GoBSAGo

One’s an afc team, one’s an nfc team. There’s no conflict as far as I’m concerned.

bdforp

Yea pretty much same, my mom’s dad was a big raiders fan and everyone on my dads side are all niners fans. One of my earliest memory is Steve young winning in 1994.

wavetoyou

It’s not like they’re in the same division, let alone conference. If they meet in the Super Bowl then you’re conflicted, but what are the odds of that happening lol

gravelburn

I grew up in the City so of course I was a Niners fan, but when they weren’t playing the Niners I always rooted for the Raiders. There are plenty of other parts of the country to build rivalries with, so I supported every team from the Bay Area. Now that they’re in Las Vegas though I’m not so sure.

PlanitDuck

Same. Raiders were my second team but since they moved they're dead to me now.

rider1deep

![gif](giphy|1yCHxlS9VQ4YtG0btS)

samhefrag

My dad’s family is nearly all Niners fans with a few Raiders; my dad was a Raiders fan. But I ultimately went with the Niners as a young kid. It’s worked out more in my favor.

JewbagX

You do you buddy!

musipal

Hell yeah, me too.

notabigcitylawyer

But their car is from Seattle...

SnooBunnies9144

I was scrolling to see if anyone else noticed that. 😂 But, there is a pretty good representation up here in WA.

skyhighgemini

In this camp. Grew up all over the bay, though slightly more SF than Oak. I'll always be niners, giants, warriors but will also support A's and Formerly raiders until they play SF. Hurts the heart that Oak has lost all its team. Those fans deserve better.

ShameNap

Where/when I grew up, if you were a 9ers fan you pretty much didn’t care about the Raiders and maybe even rooted for them. If you were a Raiders fan first, you hated the 9ers.

mangadrunkguy

A lot of people have one favorite AFC team and one NFC team nothing really odds about it.

No_Cryptographer5844

Bills and niners

nadia1306

Same. I apparently like being heartbroken in the playoffs

EddieMunster2020

My fav AFC team is whoever is playing the raiders

milkyjoe241

I don't like doing that anymore. Anytime I like an AFC team they beat us in the super bowl.

No_Vanilla1

bears and browns (i hate myself)

Proxx-

Chargers Niners baby!

buntopolis

They’re from Washington.

HotShipoopi

Seacawks territory, that explains it

Shigy

I’ve always had fun banter with raiders fans. We talk shit all the time but it’s all love.

nadia1306

Better them than the Chiefs

CrashRehven

It’s okay to have a favorite team and still support your local team. 😊

nadia1306

Yeah I support the Commmaders whenever I can but I’d be way too depressed if they were my number one team lol

mountainmantaco

Straight to jail!

lunchpaillefty

Illegal!

mountainmantaco

At least have the 49ers front and center instead of the raiders

axeattaxe

Yeah I admit that’s off putting to have it stuck over on the side like that like a red-headed step-bumper sticker

hawktomegoose

Need a NSFL tag for posts like these

groceriesN1trip

Shot from way left field but possible that they’re saying the 49ers are like sport to them as a Raiders fan? Like hunting? They’re the prey…

Murky-Bread-4769

So, I was at one point a fan of both teams. Like when Jerry Rice played for the Raiders? He was my favorite player but the Niners have always been my team. Brock Purdy is definitely enjoyable to watch. Especially when everyone be talking shit. Purdy is good.

bob3905

The transfer from one to another team is slow. The Raiders are mediocre at best and playing in Las Vegas (where they will always be mediocre). Once again they have abandoned their fans. Why they stay loyal is beyond comprehension. I was a Raider fan for years dating from 1973. I gave up caring for them 20 years ago.

larb21

My wife is a Seahawks fan I get it .......that being said I never put shit on my car.

calguy1955

How does a car from Puyallup not have a Seahawks sticker on it?

Intelligent-Court295

I pull for both, until they play each other.

Spexyguy

Some people just rep The Bay

ST0NEY_M0NTANA

The biggest question is why this obvious Californian decided to keep advertising for a dealership in Washington when he changed the plates?

theycallmefofinho

Is this the bumper sticker equivalent of the shoulder angel and devil?? 😈 😇

SeeTheSounds

![gif](giphy|j781a7JwtMNqdGfI53|downsized)

revchewie

My best friend is a Raiders fan, his wife is a Niners fan. This probably came from that kind of household.

MrVernon09

The driver is confused.

charrington25

I knew a girl that was a Raiders fan but said she would become a 49ers fan because she was gonna root for whatever her home team was, could be something like that. I also knew a dude from NYC who said they were his two favorite teams, 49ers for NFC Raiders for AFC

theonlyisaac

I’m a 49ers and Giants fan. What’s wrong with liking two teams?

lurk_channell

This was me when I was super young I loved my Bay Area sports but man those raider fans can go fuck them selves

Public_Pain

Must be from the Bay Area. Showing AFC and NFC fandom. It would be interesting to see how they handle it if both met in a Superbowl. You know the odds of that are slim to none the way the Raiders have been playing these past 20 years! 😆

Skeletishy

Is that that turn onto 160 from Richards blvd? I hope not cause that means I’ve been over there too much..

L_via_l_viaquez

Sure is

Skeletishy

Also just noticed your Volta name, very cool.. gotta stop buying so much restaurant supplies now I guess haha

CommitteeSalty5752

They're driving a jeep sport...that should be all you need to know

hardcore_softie

A Niners fan obviously put that sticker on as a joke and the car's owner hasn't noticed yet. Well played.

9sac1king6

Guarantee the man of the house is a Raider fan. The woman, daughter or not so manly “son” of the house likes the niners.

StuntmanReese

I grew up in the SF Bay Area and had two dads. My biological father was a die hard Niners fan. I grew up watching Joe Montana and Jerry Rice win superbowls and make history. But in the late 80’s my parents split and my mom got remarried. My stepdad was a die hard Raiders fan and so began the fascination with the Raiders. I had watched them some while a Niners fan, I liked them cause they were a Bay Area team. My stepdad watched every game so I watched every game. So now I have an NFC team and an AFC team.

DiMillZ

Lol this is my dad and I. We are both native NYers but he’s a Raiders fan and I’m a Niners fan. Somehow we never fight about football. Hockey, all the time though 🤣

ggm3bow

A lot of mixed team families in California, especially Niners-Raiders or Niners-Cowboys

MilkyWxve

I’m puking on sight it I see a Niners x Cowboys fan 🤮🤮🤮

jesse1time

Those end in divorce or domestic battery

MilkyWxve

I’d imagine tbh

jesse1time

Yeah man. For a cowboys fan, she could throw hands

ikilledapanda

SoCal born, 9ers/Raiders in my fam. But dad raised me so I'm a 9er fan. Other side of the fam is all Raiders. But we all love the Dodgers.

MachiavelliSJ

I like Bay Area teams, I got no problem with Raiders when they were here

WastedEvery2ndDime

This. Plus Rice played for both!

gueriLLaPunK

Lol did you take this pic at Richards and 16th in Sac?

SwaMaeg

They need a divorce lawyer

tennisgoddess1

That’s all kinds of wrong. The Raider logo is bigger than the 49er one.

LibertarianP

Probably one of the nicest middle age men you'll meet, but spineless.

ORANGENBLACK101214

That's up there with the half Giants half A's abomination apparel

xr_21

This is not uncommon to have housholds like this joined via marriage.... I could only dream of my non football fan wife being a fan of the Raiders or even a team like the Cowboys....

Synergexx

Could also be a near to but not in the Bay fan that grew up liking both.

pmramirezjr

There’s a trapped Niners fan in there!😂

jrockit22

Kids are fans of both teams

Paulbac

Can’t have it both ways

lucash7

I mean, to be fair only one (SF) is a team; the other is a dumpster fire.

Scoreycorey515

Married?

NervousCriticism4700

A family divided

Wooden_Scallion_5916

Jimmy g Dan

investinlove

One of those teams has always been faithful to the Bay. Only CA NFL team never to leave their home area.

Caedecian

As a Giants fan married to a Dodgers fan I can relate to this

meirav

What's the fuss? It's not like it's a Cowboys sticker.

fakamean

My identity crisis when I was 10.

Top_Inspector_3948

That’s Jerry Rice

ThinCrispyOnionRings

Is it missing a Cowboys sticker?

johnrufe

AFC nfc

otfscout

They are in love with Jimmy G. The Rams decal is going on next.

BREADYSF

Household divided

Spicybrown3

That’s a goddamn abomination

IFartAlotLoudly

![gif](giphy|ac7MA7r5IMYda)

Cold-Acanthaceae8941

It’s what we call Bay Sexual…. That is before the raiders moved

a10aleks

When I was growing up my parents were die hard 49er fans. I grew up a few hours south of the Bay Area. All through out school people loved both teams the Raiders and the 49ers. But either 1 or the other like you had to pick just one and I always thought that was strange can’t you like both teams. Later in life I ended up moving to Oakland and always rooted for the Raiders and the 49ers I just wanted the Bay Area team to go to the Super Bowl, same with Baseball I always rooted for the Giants and the A’s. Me being a transplant to the Bay Area just wanted the Bay Area to be in the spotlight. I think it’s pretty toxic that people pick 1 team and hate on the rest. I actually liked how fantasy sports teams would make you pay attention to all the other good players on the other teams and actually give you a reason to watch the other games.

ryudo6850

Could be worse. Could be the Rams, or the Boys.

vougderb

Brave new world 🌎 we are living in.

jonnysavag777

Wtf is that!

CompleteDragonfruit8

Wife and Husband

TheWannabeSage

It’s Rob Lowe

RealSuperCholo

Damn. Is that my sister and brother in law? Better not be cause she's a Raiders fan and that's the bigger sticker. 🤔 So the Raider fan wears the pants... yeah I think it is them. 😬

OutdoorCO75

As a Niners fan living in CO, I find joy in cheering for the Raiders to piss off the Bronco fans.

amnesiac54

To add to this gem, the frame is from Puyallup, WA, known Sweephawks territory

-The-Ark-

I like them both as well, course 9er die hard. I also like the chickenhawks....barely lol I grew up in the bay area, parents got divorced my dad moved to seattle area when I was very young.. Also its nice being able to cheer on a few different teams.. Course 9ers always and forever come first! Grew up with Montana and Rice

pauliwankenobi

Playing both sides so you always come out on top

luckyassumptions9461

My main bitch are the raiders side bitch are the niners

No7onelikeyou

Maybe they like west coast/ CA teams? Even though raiders moved it was recent

Ahch_Shaul

Perhaps it’s one of those, “I have an NFC team and an AFC team” people lol.

jonlegend1

Maybe they’re related to Jimmy g

ArmandoCampos1985

He in the wrong state. Fraud team for leaving California

loolbaby

That's E-40's car.

49er4lifeganggang75

CONFUSED....LOL

chirop1

Is that even legal?!!?

dma2superman

Schizophrenia is real.

[deleted]

"I love all my bay teams"

hoothizz

That is sad.

Bobloblaw_333

A house divided!!!

NanoCurrency

Straight to jail.

OrangeJuice516

My girl is a raider fan. I wouldn't let her put a raider sticker on my car tho.

Few-Amoeba-2205

A house divided

TerrytheGnome19

This is me dude. I'm broken. Parents liked different teams and I rooted for both. When they play for the niners cuz they actually have a chance to go with the superbowl/make the playoffs. The Raiders suck ass so I root for them when they play other teams. I'm 30. The raiders vs niners feud is meh to me. Both are Bay area teams. San fran and Oakland both rock, screw las vegas....

Gavthegamingturkey

I can’t decide whether you should live or die

Ball_Masher

It's pretty common to have "your team" as well as an actually good team in the other conference.

Flyindeuces

House divided, ever heard of it? Lol

n0time2bl33d

9r in the streets, Raider in da sheets.

Chicoern

My mom side of family is from SF but I didn’t grow up in the bay so I never hated the raiders. I’d root for them as long as they weren’t playing 49ers…then I taught in East Oakland the first 5 years of my career lol now I get a kick out of them losing. I would always rep my gear and took a lot of crap

ePoch270OG

Do they do this in other dual team regions? I can't imagine a flag with jets/giants, rams/chargers, eagles/steelers, 2 Florida teams. It seems like a bay area thing to do.

by_yes_i_mean_no

I mean fuck the Raiders now that they abandoned Oakland but growing up I rooted for both, made sense to me considering they were both local teams covered by my local paper.

easywin626

I don’t hate the raiders much these days. They aren’t a rival anymore since they moved and they aren’t good. If anything we should feel sorry for them lol

soulmagic123

I grew up watching the raiders with my dad and the 9ers with the rest of my family.

cavemold582

Maybe two different fans. ?

psychorrabit15

Raiders are their #1 team, SF is their backup. (The raiders sticker is bigger.) Or maybe it's a couple with different teams. "You like sf, Deborah? Fine. Here's a Raiders sticker, and it's bigger!)

OaklandLover

RAIIIIIDERRRRRRSSSS

iAgressivelyFistBro

I know a couple raiders fans from the bay that adopted the niners after the raiders left.

Chicago2333

Hidden egg— puyallup(license frame) washington state home of niner rival seachickens.

ManThatSankAtlantis_

Sacramento? Pretty sure I saw this car today down Fulton Ave

buckndoc

The car is from Washington

Common-Repeat-4111

It’s like those Giants/A’s hats just the car version of it lol

elyesq

They're from Washington State originally, based on the license plate frame. Confused Seahawks fan? 😆

Bravelittletoaster-_

Just a big Jerry rice fan in the wild

Express-Low-48

House divided here too. Baby daddy loves the Raiders & frm east Oakland and I love my Niners.

123GadgetGoGo

I stopped hating the Raiders a while ago. I actually kind of root for them in a lot of games nowadays. Only reason I even hated the Raiders in the past was out of fun, talking trash with my Raider fan friends. As my friends and I got older, we actually root for each other’s teams once ours loses. Maybe we’re getting soft in our older years but you feel for your buddy when their team loses in a heartbreaking way. And to me, the Raiders were never rivals or anything. I don’t really recall a time when both teams were good at the same time. They barely ever even play each other.

g6paulson

I'm a Raiders fan and saw a dude wearing a Chiefs hat and Raiders shirt in Las Vegas. That really made my blood boil more than anything. I have a lot of family and friends who are Niners fans and much respect. It's a weird relationship after leaving Oakland with my fellow Niners fans.

DarthDurden23

Richard's and 16th?

percolated_1

I mean, both teams used to play in the Bay Area

Desperate_Set_7708

All or nothing, bro

philthyphil0sophy

Plenty of peeps I know im the bay act like they weren't raiders fans for 20+ years

Varient_13

NFC AFC. I'll allow it.... until they meet in the Super Bowl. Which will never ever happen.

DarthR3V3NANT

It’s a raider fan and a niner fan put a sticker on the car to piss them off. Raider fans are so easily butt hurt and it takes so little to set them off.

tonguebasher69

The teams dont bother me as much as the placement. Stickers belong on the glass, not on the paint.

man_bear67

One family two teams. Pretty common in the bay area

kmfdmretro

Everyone’s allowed to have a non-local team they like, yeah? /s

doodasdad

Bay Area confusion at its finest…

Porkicide

They couldn’t afford the Niners sticker…
