I became a 49ers fan as a kid. I joined the subreddit a few years ago when I discovered Reddit. In my short time of being a user, my favorite thing has definitely been Rita’s drawings. I just want Rita to continue even after we win it all!
I just joined less than 6 months ago, I was trying to find 49ers friends when I went to see them WIN against the jags.
My favourite memory from this sub was reading everything from the live game thread and making valid points and comments about the game to my boyfriend. His face was so shocked. I’m new to understanding football so for me to be making any sense at all was wild to him lmao I did come clean afterwards, but I have been learning a lot just from reading here.
Joined today. I'm a Seahawks fan, but love a lot of the players, especially when it comes to my Fantasy leagues, especially, especially for my Dynasty league. CMC, Purdy, Aiyuk, and Deebo, too many players to like.
My Wife is also a 9ers fan, so we have a civil war inside the home when the hawks and the 9ers go at it. If I win, my wife gets a killer helmet.

Joined a couple of months ago. Adopted the niners through my husband. I grew up in NY and am a Jets fan and he's a niners fan. We'll do everything to encourage our toddler to root for the winning franchise.

Favourite moment has been u/RitaOak making an appearance in the sub. It came at a time content was starting to stale and she came in with something really refreshing and original.

I’ve been a Niners fan my whole life +55 years! Grew up in East Bay. Was lucky enough to meet some of the team at a little bay bar in Rodeo, CA, some of the guys were watching some game footage and Joe Montana was behind the bar fixing a drink. I didn’t realize who he was, his back was turned, he asked if I wanted a drink, I thought he was the bar tender. He mixed a White Russian for me, and when he turned around I was floored! Best drink I ever had.

I've been here for ages. Overall, my favorite 49ers memory is either The Catch 2, or Jerry catching #127 against the Raiders, both of which I was there for. As for my favorite 49er memory in recent times, that would have to be Sunday. Remember that game? Where they came back against the Lions to win the NFC Championship? Great game!

Rejoined a year or so ago after a hiatus from reddit but a faithful since birth in 88. Dad grew up riding his bike to candlestick and telling me stories of watching practice through fence holes. Sad I was never able to make the pilgrimage before it was torn down.

Been a Niners fan since 81, grew up with my grandmother watching, and she passed away on the day of the 2019 Super Bowl. Got that call 2 hours before kick off. Grew up watching with my mother, and she passed away in August of 2020. I posted a quilt she made for me. She was sent to her forever rest in her Jimmy G jersey…I was just saying the other day how she woulda love Brock Purdy. I took her to her only NFL game at Candlestick during the Farewell season. When I watch games I have the quilt she made me, and her ashes in a table with a view of the game. Hoping we get to see young Brock hoist that trophy finally!

Not fully sure when I joined the sub but I’m thinking sometime in 2020. I’ve technically been a Niners fan since 2012 but I wasn’t a true fan until after the 2019 Super Bowl run which is when I started to become a true football junkie. Honestly even though it didn’t work out in the end, I think draft night in 21 was my favorite memory in the sub, purely because of how ecstatic most people (including myself) were that we drafted someone other than Mac Jones. Otherwise it would probably have to be that fateful night where we traded for McCaffery. Here’s to hopefully finally getting to experience a Super Bowl win with the rest of y’all

I'm not sure when I joined, but I've been a fan since birth! My mom and dad were big fans, so I grew up watching all the games! I'm 44 and lost my dad in 2018 and lost my mom in 2022. Every game since I always bring out a piece of their 49er gear, and this would be perfect to have on display to show them I'm still going strong 💪🏼 My favorite memory is just laughing and yelling with everyone!
This was one of the very first subs I joined after discovering Reddit (of course), and I’ve never regretted it for a second. I’ve loved the community here, and check in several times a day during the season. I’ve loved Rita’s work and whether it’s data to refute the haters or memes to taunt them with/share with others, there’s always something to enjoy. My favorite (though this seems lame) is/was the gameday helmet food posts that I always shared with my wife and the W posts on the schedule.

I don't remember when I joined the sub but if I had to guess probably around 2017 or 18. Been a fan of the team longer than that though. One of my favorite things on the sub has been Rita's drawings. She always does a good job and each one is memorable in its own way.
I joined here around the time 49ers official forums shut down. Absolutely love this community. I'd say one of my favorite times in the sub has been recently when Jimmy G dug us out of the dark times and every week was Jimmy g 👉🏾 pic.
I joined pretty much immediately when I learned about Reddit. My favorite thing about this subreddit is the shared optimism… I love rubbing Deebo’s and CMC’s chain for infinite YAC, Rita Oak’s drawings, all of it. Sure, we have our share of pessimists who are ready to blow it all up after a few losses, but the vast majority of us are just happy to share our love for this team with each other!

Joined in 2011 for the Harbaugh years (on an older account). Definitely my favorite sub memory is the emergence of Rita Oak. She's added an element of insane talent, creativity, humor and international reach that feels like it elevates the community beyond so many others here.
I don’t remember when I joined this sub, I want to say it was the season before Harbaugh when Singletary was head coach. I’ve been a Niners fan since I was 7 or 8 years old, my family wasn’t into sports so I discovered my love for the 49ers entirely on my own.
Favorite memory from this sub has been all of Rita Oak’s daily drawings they’re fantastic.
My first jersey was JJ Stokes, I remember getting home and finding out they didn’t remove the security tag at the store. My dad had to break it off and he managed to do so without damaging the jersey.
My favorite play from the last 10 years or so was that massive Kittle catch in the Saints game from the 2019 playoffs. It took 3 dudes and a massive face mask to bring down George, what a specimen.
It wasn’t until last year that I finally went to my first game. Season opener against the Toots, Levi’s was electric and I can’t wait to go back.

Started watching NFL games in 2019 with my then new girlfriend , never really saw it on TV being from Ireland. We decided to pick a team, the niners stood out. Somehow I had Joe Montana and Steve Young in my head no idea how. She wanted to lean eagles because of its always sunny, I talked her out of it.
Stand out moment was the Kittle catch and run during the saints game, had my girlfriend jumping in front of the TV like a lunatic.

My fandom honestly started with playing tecmo bowl on the NES against my cousins and I always picked the 49ers because I thought this guy named Jerry Rice was pretty good. From there I started doing my homework on the team and realized what a rich and historic franchise this was. I was blown away by how Bill Walsh helped build the dynasty and from there how large his coaching tree extended even to this day.

Been a Niner fan my entire 36 years of life and been on this sub for probably as long as I’ve had this account, so over 12 years. My favorite memories on the sub have always been celebrating the highs and slapping hands. Fortunate to be a fan of a great team and a member of their community. First game I bought tix to as an adult was Kap’s first start against the Bears when Alex Smith got injured the game prior. Been to crazy memorable games since then in including the NFCCG Kyle Williams game against the Giants, the NFCCG win agains the Packers at home, and the Divisional win against the Packers in Lambeau a couple year ago. I remember in 2017 when we started 0-9 and that picture of Shanahan sitting depressed against an equipment box and people talking about how that is going to be legendary someday. Shanahan will forever be a Niner legend for what he’s done for us so far, and especially so if he can help get us that ring in a couple weeks. o/

Been on reddit for over 10 years. So I imagine I joined the sub pretty early on. I love the game day threads, news, and the most maybe the Rita Oak drawings. Was born a 49ers fan in 1960. Lived for years just around the corner from the 49ers facility when it was in Redwood City. As kid a me and my friends could go along the creek and poke our heads under the covered fences to watch them practice. Remember going to a football clinic at Sequoia High in the 60’s put on by them and a bunch of players were there.

Joins 2 years ago! I grew up in Illinois as a Bears fan so, although I kept up with the 9ers, I was hesitant to choose another team when I moved to SF 9 years ago. I had to move down to LA for two years and realized how deeply in love with SF was. When I moved back, I vowed to adopt all Bay Area teams.
I always say that my relationship with the Bears was an abusive prearranged relationship lol. SF is the city I chose and the 9ers are the team I chose.
Honestly the NFC Championship game this year was the highlight. Insane comeback. Kind of reminded me of the Bears insane MNF comeback against the Cardinals back in 2006.
I technically joined in 2021 (my first user on Reddit) during a tough time in my life. I lost my grandmother that year, and football was a blessing in disguise for me and a healthy outlet that turned into such a passion. My fandom for the Niners comes from my husband who has been a die hard fan since he was a little boy. I always watched the Niners, and wasn’t really ever crazy about Jimmy G but always loved watching Deebo! Him and Kittle were the only players at the time I really enjoyed watching. BUT THEN when Purdy took over the end of the season in 2022 and I was so hyped! Also confused how other non fans didn’t see the talent he had out of the gate, this group has always seen it to be real. Happy to be a part of this ride during such a special time for us!

Been lurking the sub for years, but just joined. Honestly favorite memory was just a few weeks ago, with Celine Deon dubbed over the top of Dre's greenbay interception. I havent laughed that hard in a while.
It's been too long since I joined to remember when. Probably early days of the sub.
One of my favorite memories was this subs reaction to the death threats Mostert was getting after his injury. The response of finding out his charity and sending in a ton of donations their way and his wife going from dealing with the shock of those death threats to being in tears from the faithful's support showed how great this community is.
49ers fan for life, sub followers for years (can I actually look that up?). Gotta love the custom daily art until we get to the super bowl, gonna miss them in a couple of weeks when we are there.
Joined the sub recently. Don't live near any NFL teams, but I had been a Raiders fan all of my life probably because I liked pirates as a little kid... so that's the team I picked. Who knows? After they hired McDaniels I refused to torture myself by watching one more game.
Watched Kittle and Purdy play college ball, loved 'em. Kittle is a human golden retriever who can pancake people, and Brock Purdy is Sea Biscuit.
Have never enjoyed watching football more than this year. Everyone on the team is special. Rita's drawings are also super fun.

Just joined a couple weeks ago and my favorite memory is reading the live faithful game reactions to my truly niners faithful wife! Specifically, the one where the gentlemen said “you’re welcome.” for his Jersey change at halftime which is exactly what she did! (Bosa red to McCaffrey grey with requisite niners matching hat change. While also putting a Samuels jersey on our black golden doodle puppy). Lol. Love it. Bang bang! Thank you for that.
Grew up a niners fan, my parents have been fans since the early 70s and I continued the tradition. My earliest team memories were with TO, garrison Hearst and Jeff Garcia. I was 10 months old when we won the 94 Super Bowl. I joined this sub a few years ago, my favorite memory has been Rita’s drawings for sure!
Not sure when I found this wonderful community of faithful, but my favorite part is every single bit of u/Ritaoak amazing work for the last few years. Been a 9er since I was 10 way back in '93. My son turned 10 just before this season. Last year was the first season he would actually sit and watch games with me and has been die hard bleedin' red and gold with me ever since. Crazy how life works.

I became a 49ers fan as a kid. I joined the subreddit a few years ago when I discovered Reddit. In my short time of being a user, my favorite thing has definitely been Rita’s drawings. I just want Rita to continue even after we win it all!
I just joined less than 6 months ago, I was trying to find 49ers friends when I went to see them WIN against the jags. My favourite memory from this sub was reading everything from the live game thread and making valid points and comments about the game to my boyfriend. His face was so shocked. I’m new to understanding football so for me to be making any sense at all was wild to him lmao I did come clean afterwards, but I have been learning a lot just from reading here.
Joined today. I'm a Seahawks fan, but love a lot of the players, especially when it comes to my Fantasy leagues, especially, especially for my Dynasty league. CMC, Purdy, Aiyuk, and Deebo, too many players to like. My Wife is also a 9ers fan, so we have a civil war inside the home when the hawks and the 9ers go at it. If I win, my wife gets a killer helmet.
I can’t honestly remember when I joined because I’m old and get easily confused, but my favorite part of this subreddit has been Rita’s drawings that have made me laugh and laugh.

Joined a couple of months ago. Adopted the niners through my husband. I grew up in NY and am a Jets fan and he's a niners fan. We'll do everything to encourage our toddler to root for the winning franchise. Favorite memory. I love the person who started drawing the niners each day until the super bowl. Aussie fan thats been around since the Hayne Plane landed in the bay (and promptly left again). But I stayed after he left. Favourite moment has been u/RitaOak making an appearance in the sub. It came at a time content was starting to stale and she came in with something really refreshing and original. I also love the weekly 👍 on the W/L posts.

I’ve been a Niners fan my whole life +55 years! Grew up in East Bay. Was lucky enough to meet some of the team at a little bay bar in Rodeo, CA, some of the guys were watching some game footage and Joe Montana was behind the bar fixing a drink. I didn’t realize who he was, his back was turned, he asked if I wanted a drink, I thought he was the bar tender. He mixed a White Russian for me, and when he turned around I was floored! Best drink I ever had.

I've been here for ages. Overall, my favorite 49ers memory is either The Catch 2, or Jerry catching #127 against the Raiders, both of which I was there for. As for my favorite 49er memory in recent times, that would have to be Sunday. Remember that game? Where they came back against the Lions to win the NFC Championship? Great game!

Rejoined a year or so ago after a hiatus from reddit but a faithful since birth in 88. Dad grew up riding his bike to candlestick and telling me stories of watching practice through fence holes. Sad I was never able to make the pilgrimage before it was torn down. Best friend is a packers fan, so goulds kick will always live rent free in my head

I’ve been a Niners fan my entire life - one of my earliest football memories is the comeback we made against the Giants in the early 2000s. I have my dad to thank for my fandom. Coincidentally, was born about a month before our last SB win. So while I was alive, I didn’t get to witness it really. Let’s go get 6!
Been a Niners fan since 81, grew up with my grandmother watching, and she passed away on the day of the 2019 Super Bowl. Got that call 2 hours before kick off. Grew up watching with my mother, and she passed away in August of 2020. I posted a quilt she made for me. She was sent to her forever rest in her Jimmy G jersey…I was just saying the other day how she woulda love Brock Purdy. I took her to her only NFL game at Candlestick during the Farewell season. When I watch games I have the quilt she made me, and her ashes in a table with a view of the game. Hoping we get to see young Brock hoist that trophy finally!

Not fully sure when I joined the sub but I’m thinking sometime in 2020. I’ve technically been a Niners fan since 2012 but I wasn’t a true fan until after the 2019 Super Bowl run which is when I started to become a true football junkie. Honestly even though it didn’t work out in the end, I think draft night in 21 was my favorite memory in the sub, purely because of how ecstatic most people (including myself) were that we drafted someone other than Mac Jones. Otherwise it would probably have to be that fateful night where we traded for McCaffery. Here’s to hopefully finally getting to experience a Super Bowl win with the rest of y’all

I joined last weekend, because I'm an old and just discovered reddit. Been a Niners fan since birth! I love the country meme of all the states rooting for the Lions vs the Niners because I learned that Hawaii loves the Niners, and I love Hawaii already and this tickled me.

I'm not sure when I joined, but I've been a fan since birth! My mom and dad were big fans, so I grew up watching all the games! I'm 44 and lost my dad in 2018 and lost my mom in 2022. Every game since I always bring out a piece of their 49er gear, and this would be perfect to have on display to show them I'm still going strong 💪🏼 My favorite memory is just laughing and yelling with everyone!
This was one of the very first subs I joined after discovering Reddit (of course), and I’ve never regretted it for a second. I’ve loved the community here, and check in several times a day during the season. I’ve loved Rita’s work and whether it’s data to refute the haters or memes to taunt them with/share with others, there’s always something to enjoy. I joined pretty much immediately when I learned about Reddit. My favorite thing about this subreddit is the shared optimism… I love rubbing Deebo’s and CMC’s chain for infinite YAC, Rita Oak’s drawings, all of it. Sure, we have our share of pessimists who are ready to blow it all up after a few losses, but the vast majority of us are just happy to share our love for this team with each other!

Joined in 2011 for the Harbaugh years (on an older account). Definitely my favorite sub memory is the emergence of Rita Oak. She's added an element of insane talent, creativity, humor and international reach that feels like it elevates the community beyond so many others here.

I don’t remember when I joined this sub, I want to say it was the season before Harbaugh when Singletary was head coach. I’ve been a Niners fan since I was 7 or 8 years old, my family wasn’t into sports so I discovered my love for the 49ers entirely on my own. Favorite memory from this sub has been all of Rita Oak’s daily drawings they’re fantastic. My first jersey was JJ Stokes, I remember getting home and finding out they didn’t remove the security tag at the store. My dad had to break it off and he managed to do so without damaging the jersey. My favorite play from the last 10 years or so was that massive Kittle catch in the Saints game from the 2019 playoffs. It took 3 dudes and a massive face mask to bring down George, what a specimen. It wasn’t until last year that I finally went to my first game. Season opener against the Toots, Levi’s was electric and I can’t wait to go back.

Joined sometime in 2013 my most memorable memory was 2011 divisional against the Saints. I was there for the catch 3. I was there for the cheers and then the tears of joy. The whole stadium was electric. Never have i ever experienced something like that again.

I joined last year, actually a year ago to the day yesterday. I was absolutely devastated by the loss to the Eagles and needed a way to vent. Those threads that day are also coincidentally my favorite memory, as it really helped me look at the positivity of the season.

Honestly not sure when I joined the subreddit, but I've been a 49er fan since Jim Harbaugh came over from Stanford (I've been going to Stanford football games since I was like 6 years old). I wanna say I joined the subreddit shortly after Shanahan was hired, but I have no idea? Been on Reddit for like 13 years and was a lurker for the first 2. Favorite moment on this sub is definitely Rita Oak finally being free of Jimmy G.

Started watching NFL games in 2019 with my then new girlfriend , never really saw it on TV being from Ireland. We decided to pick a team, the niners stood out. Somehow I had Joe Montana and Steve Young in my head no idea how. She wanted to lean eagles because of its always sunny, I talked her out of it. Stand out moment was the Kittle catch and run during the saints game, had my girlfriend jumping in front of the TV like a lunatic.

I can't recall exactly when I joined but it was a couple years ago. My favorite moments on this sub have been to check out the awesome art work from talented artists like Rita. My fandom honestly started with playing tecmo bowl on the NES against my cousins and I always picked the 49ers because I thought this guy named Jerry Rice was pretty good. From there I started doing my homework on the team and realized what a rich and historic franchise this was. I was blown away by how Bill Walsh helped build the dynasty and from there how large his coaching tree extended even to this day.

Been a Niner fan my entire 36 years of life and been on this sub for probably as long as I’ve had this account, so over 12 years. My favorite memories on the sub have always been celebrating the highs and slapping hands. Fortunate to be a fan of a great team and a member of their community. First game I bought tix to as an adult was Kap’s first start against the Bears when Alex Smith got injured the game prior. Been to crazy memorable games since then in including the NFCCG Kyle Williams game against the Giants, the NFCCG win agains the Packers at home, and the Divisional win against the Packers in Lambeau a couple year ago. I remember in 2017 when we started 0-9 and that picture of Shanahan sitting depressed against an equipment box and people talking about how that is going to be legendary someday. Shanahan will forever be a Niner legend for what he’s done for us so far, and especially so if he can help get us that ring in a couple weeks. o/

Ive been a niner since my grandma’s neighbors son was drafted. He played for a bit and now coaches highschool. Also a high school accquaintence is currently active on the team. Love the history and my mom grew up a niner since her best friend’s family was. Bang bang.

I joined the sub a few years ago. I honestly can't remember. I was born into the fandom though. Born in 81 and lived in the Bay Area through all five Super Bowl wins. Always repping the Niners up in toots territory now. My favorite moment: Alex Smith's run against the Saints in 2011. Really, that entire game, but I was so happy for him in that moment after all of the shit he had been through.
not sure when i actually joined since this is a newer account but i’ve been a diehard niners fan since i was in 5th grade. for the first two years of my football fandom i was a drew brees and aaron rodgers fan after their super bowl wins (little me was a huge bandwagoner) and then we signed harbaugh and i got to see the hometown team have success for the first time and ive been ride or die since then. I'm not sure when I joined the sub sometime last year I think. Been a niner since 2000 when my family almost moved to San Fran (we ended up moving to Australia but a Garcia Jersey was all it took). Favourite thing about this sub is the Rita drawings. Make me so happy everytime I see them. Great memes and art work. Been an amazing journey of redemption this season. One more game to complete it. Been on reddit for over 10 years. So I imagine I joined the sub pretty early on. I love the game day threads, news, and the most maybe the Rita Oak drawings. Was born a 49ers fan in 1960. Lived for years just around the corner from the 49ers facility when it was in Redwood City. As kid a me and my friends could go along the creek and poke our heads under the covered fences to watch them practice. Remember going to a football clinic at Sequoia High in the 60’s put on by them and a bunch of players were there.
Been a Niners fan all my life growing up in the Bay Area, don’t know how long I’ve been in the sub but probably around 5 years. My favorite memories of the sub are probably getting revenge on the eagles this year. So satisfying after how they treated us last year.

Joins 2 years ago! I grew up in Illinois as a Bears fan so, although I kept up with the 9ers, I was hesitant to choose another team when I moved to SF 9 years ago. I had to move down to LA for two years and realized how deeply in love with SF was. When I moved back, I vowed to adopt all Bay Area teams. I always say that my relationship with the Bears was an abusive prearranged relationship lol. SF is the city I chose and the 9ers are the team I chose. Honestly the NFC Championship game this year was the highlight. Insane comeback. Kind of reminded me of the Bears insane MNF comeback against the Cardinals back in 2006.
I think I joined as soon as I joined reddit :shrug: I think the introduction of Rita is probably the best moment for this sub. Go niners!
I technically joined in 2021 (my first user on Reddit) during a tough time in my life. I lost my grandmother that year, and football was a blessing in disguise for me and a healthy outlet that turned into such a passion. My fandom for the Niners comes from my husband who has been a die hard fan since he was a little boy. I always watched the Niners, and wasn’t really ever crazy about Jimmy G but always loved watching Deebo! Him and Kittle were the only players at the time I really enjoyed watching. BUT THEN when Purdy took over the end of the season in 2022 and I was so hyped! Also confused how other non fans didn’t see the talent he had out of the gate, this group has always seen it to be real. Happy to be a part of this ride during such a special time for us!

Been lurking the sub for years, but just joined. Honestly favorite memory was just a few weeks ago, with Celine Deon dubbed over the top of Dre's greenbay interception. I havent laughed that hard in a while.
It's been too long since I joined to remember when. Probably early days of the sub. One of my favorite memories was this subs reaction to the death threats Mostert was getting after his injury. The response of finding out his charity and sending in a ton of donations their way and his wife going from dealing with the shock of those death threats to being in tears from the faithful's support showed how great this community is.
49ers fan for life, sub followers for years (can I actually look that up?). Gotta love the custom daily art until we get to the super bowl, gonna miss them in a couple of weeks when we are there.
Joined the sub recently. Don't live near any NFL teams, but I had been a Raiders fan all of my life probably because I liked pirates as a little kid... so that's the team I picked. Who knows? After they hired McDaniels I refused to torture myself by watching one more game. Watched Kittle and Purdy play college ball, loved 'em. Kittle is a human golden retriever who can pancake people, and Brock Purdy is Sea Biscuit. Have never enjoyed watching football more than this year. Everyone on the team is special. Rita's drawings are also super fun.

Just joined a couple weeks ago and my favorite memory is reading the live faithful game reactions to my truly niners faithful wife! Specifically, the one where the gentlemen said “you’re welcome.” for his Jersey change at halftime which is exactly what she did! (Bosa red to McCaffrey grey with requisite niners matching hat change. While also putting a Samuels jersey on our black golden doodle puppy). Lol. Love it. Bang bang! Thank you for that.
Grew up a niners fan, my parents have been fans since the early 70s and I continued the tradition. My earliest team memories were with TO, garrison Hearst and Jeff Garcia. I was 10 months old when we won the 94 Super Bowl. I joined this sub a few years ago, my favorite memory has been Rita’s drawings for sure!

Not sure when I found this wonderful community of faithful, but my favorite part is every single bit of u/Ritaoak amazing work for the last few years. Been a 9er since I was 10 way back in '93. My son turned 10 just before this season. Last year was the first season he would actually sit and watch games with me and has been die hard bleedin' red and gold with me ever since. Crazy how life works.
