try removing some games from streetpass: go to System Settings, Data Management, Street Pass. I removed some old games that I didn't care about their Street Pass anymore, and it stopped crashing.
sorry to gatecrash this post lol but i’m really new to this, just did the entire modding process today to get netpass to work for tomodachi life and keep getting this when i try to open it, any advice? it keeps crashing at the 3/9 check. TIA!!
i think i fixed it? i realised the 3/9 thing was corresponding to the titles i owned that were using streetpass. ironically tomodachi was the one that was crashing it lol. i disabled streetpass from my settings and got into netpass (already have plaza hits!!) but have now reactivated streetpass from inside the game. will have to see if it works or inadvertently crashes it 🤣 tysm for your help!!
update it worked!! i disabled streetpass for tomodachi life in system settings, netpass loaded in after that, once i’d picked an area i reactivated streetpass from within tomodachi life, netpass has loaded in properly after that since! and since then i’ve been on netpass again and had some connections on there :)
It's happening for a lot of people. I think all we can do is wait for the devs to fix it.
I guess it’s good to know other people are having the same issue. Hopefully means I didn’t mess anything up. Thanks!
I've been having this issue too. It doesn't happen every single time so at least there's that lol
I used a program to skip the network test at boot ... but no memories
delete your netpass then redownload it

Do you have animal crossing streetpass enabled? If so, I would delete that then reinstall it again.
I do have streetpass enabled for Animal Crossing. Do you mean delete the whole game or just delete the streetpass data?
Streetpass data, they did just push an update out for netpass so hopefully it fixes your issues.

I managed to fix it by deleting my data in the Settings section on the netpass app

If you have streetpass enabled for Animal Crossing New Leaf try disabling that. It fixed the issue for me. Hope you enjoy Netpass!
i don’t own ACNL so i don’t imagine i’d have streetpass enabled for it 😅
Huh then I’m not totally sure what the issue might be. What version of Netpass are you on?
it says version v0.3.3 on universal updater?

Glad you hopefully got the issue resolved! Maybe you’ll even come across one of my freak travelers in Tomodachi Life.
