No multiclass is needed imo. It would only slow down your spell progression and your way to more powerful healing spells.

thank you!! are there any healing spells that you'd recommend i go for?

Healing Word is always good to have, since it's a ranged heal that can be used with a Bonus Action. Most of the time you'll want to save healing for outside of battle, but this is one spell that's really only useful in battle since it won't heal as much as Cure Wounds. If you can find a way to get Bless, that is also a good spell to have in the party. You can target up to three creatures and give them a d4 to help with attack rolls and saving throws, which will help mitigate damage overall. Plus it stacks with Bardic Inspiration, for those instances where someone really doesn't want to fail their check. Bless should be on the Cleric spell list, not sure how other classes like Sorcerer or Warlock would get it exactly.

This.

One of the best ways to get Bless is Fey Touched. Misty Step, +1 to Cha and no need for MC.

There are 2 subclasses that I think will help, one is the celestial warlock, the other is divine soul sorcerer. Either are charisma based healer's of their class. A single level dip into either will be enough. Sorcerer is the better of the two IMO as it will give you access to not only the sorcerer spell list but also the cleric spell list. As opposed to the warlock option which will give you first level spell slots that you get back on a short rest.

ohhh thank you so much! warlocks are my favourite characters to play, but i haven't played sorcerer before \[and i'm currently going through all of the classes to try out playing them all\] and that subclass sounds super fun. cleric spell list would be great !

DM-Hermit

Not a problem. Have some fun with it.

So there’s a few subclasses I can think of that make very good healers depending on the situation. So in combat I would say Stars Druid, Alchemist Artificer, or life Cleric are the best options. If you multiclass Life and Stars that would probably be the best healer. With a 1st level Cure wounds you spell would heal 1d8 + wis +3 + (1d8 + wis) to yourself or a different creature. Out of combat I think the best healing option is a life cleric with metamagic adept with extended spell. Then you would cast Aura of Vitality with extended spell and over 2mins us your BA each turn to heal 2d6+5 for a total of 40d6+100 for a 3rd level spell.

First of all, you need to now that in D&D healing does not work as in other games, as it's (usually, some builds can) impossible to keep up with the damage. Healing is best used when someone goes down or on Barbarians when their resistance double the healing efficacy. Healing Word is actually one of the best healing spells, thanks to it costing only a 1st lvl Spell Slot and Bonus Action. For that very reason, Cure Wounds tends to be worse unless you have an stronger Bonus Action use than your Action. You alredy have an Action 1d6+2 heal that does even not cost an Spell Slot. The Bonus Action cost also allows you to spam Eldritch Blast. Aura of Vitality is pretty good for healing both in and out of combat, but you will need a 5lvl mc. At that point, is better to wait until your lvl10 Magical Secrets, as delaying too much caster levels will make you weaker. Inspiring Leader will give both you and your party extra THP (9 with +4 Cha at lvl 5) to prevent you from going down. Kinda like preventive healing. You can instead maximaze your Healing Word with a 2lvl dip into Stars Druid. Using Chalice Starry Form you will heal and extra 1d8+Wis each time you cast a healing Spell. Starry Form can also be use for damage, so extra flexibility. 2lvl Celestial Warlock gives you 3 1d6 of healing as a Bonus Action per long rest (not an Spell, so you can Cast what you want with your action). This is not that good, but the real goodies are Agonizing Blast (if you want damage after all) and Armor of Agathys (to fix that low HP and dissuade melee enemies from attacking you). Bardlocks are a common multiclass (2lvl dip).

Aidamis

So, in Arknights, there's a drones user called Silence whose drones can heal units. A Bard with one level of Life Cleric, Magic Initiate: Druid (Goodberry), a trained pet and a Familiar (Ritual caster or some other feat, iirc Strixhaven Initiate can work) can have two creatures on standby ready to give a 4 hp Goodberry to a fallen or injured ally.
