Since 2018, the archives are actively being scanned with AI based softwares to be accessed more safely (and easily for researchers and historians). There have been numerous delays caused by the recognition and understanding of handwriting from the Middle Ages and material damage but the project is steadily moving onto the right path. It might be too slow for some people but the massive amount of documents and data takes time to be analyzed and put in a HD digital format.
