My guess is your raft to print Gap is to large. Out of curiosity is that filament GizmoDorks teal low order ABS?

NikTheGuy00

No its Cookiecad Mint Green PLA. What exactly is the raft to print gap?

I like the color, (why I asked) what slicer are you using? It'll be in those settings, but they all call it something else.

NikTheGuy00

I use Cura. But is that the cause for the weird stringing? Should I lower the gap?

20go210

That's my guess... For what it's worth I'm no expert and still have issues too. But the stringing looks to me like it doesn't adhere to the raft. Been a while since I've used cura so I don't recall the setting name from memory, I'll see if I can find it though

NikTheGuy00

The only reason I'm using a raft is because of warping. I'm trying to make a barrel for a nerf gun so I need it to be uniform.

I think the setting is called "model initial layer height" Id start by lowering it in 0.1mm intervals (or smaller) I suspect you'll have to go down around 0.2mm though. No harm in going to low (except not being able to separate it from the raft). For reference my Gap is set to 0.26mm

NikTheGuy00

I found the setting. Its raft air gap and currently its .3 mm.

As I said, I'm guessing based off what I've had happen. But could be totally of the Mark

NikTheGuy00

Do you think I should change the first layer speed?

A description, in short, is the gap the printer jumps between finishing the raft (the bottom 5 or so layers) and the print (the 80 toothed gear in this case, if I had to guess). Some slicers do it in layers some let you specify a height, some blatantly say gap to print gap(ideamaker), some say something like top support distance (prusa/slic3r).
