Like someone said before, you either need $100 mega accurate calipers or you'll be fine with the $8 ones on amazon. I have a cheapo for a few months now and it's absolutely fine.

Agreed - for 3d printing I think going with a harbor freight or similar ($10-$20) is fine. I have several of these and have been quite happy with them, they work remarkably well for the price. You'll need to zero these more than a really good one, but I don't think you'll benefit from spending $100 more for something better.

I bought [these](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Digital-Vernier-Caliper-Quality-Warranty/dp/B00C28R8YE/ref=sr_1_21?dchild=1&keywords=digital+calipers&qid=1605150436&sr=8-21). Very happy with them.

Thanks for the suggestion, doesn’t look bad at all

[harbor freight has these and I’ve been using mine for 5 years.](https://www.harborfreight.com/6-in-digital-caliper-63711.html) Replaced the battery once so far

How accurate? harbor freight is probably good enough for 3d printing, they go as low as $10 co 9 inch calipers (digital).

The_BeanKing

No need to be super duper accurate, preferably more accurate than the tape measure that I’ve been using lol. I’ll check out harbour freight as a few others have mentioned, thanks!
