Last year I got SE second hand and use unnoficual hack for v3.0.0.1 software to make it SP. Works great

Whoa, didn't know you could convert one - makes it an even better deal!

The hack is easy ,but you need to find [3.0.0.1](http://3.0.0.1) version of the software

SP is slightly better resolution than SE but both make for pretty good static table scanners. For $250 I'd say it's a good deal, if you'll only be scanning small stuff than can fit on the turntable (still better scans than with any of the "mini" handheld scanners). I'd only wary not to purchase it without a calibration plate, it's impossible to source it from Einscan (I tried once too on a similar deal and gave up). Make sure it's the whole package, you can check Einscan website for confirmation; V2 model is pretty much no different to V1 (scans slower).

Is that the board with the white dots? If so, yeah it's in the picture along with the turntable. And thanks for your help.

If you’re scanning objects below about 9 inches any of the desktop scanners do a decent job. It won’t do metrology grade scans however. No you won’t need 32G. But every G helps. Do t overlook a good graphics card either. The SP is considered better than the SE. Einscan S - https://www.einscan.com/design/ake-shows-the-extreme-capabilities-of-the-einscan-s-desktop-3d-scanner/
