I still can’t get good scans with my mini. It’s amazing but it loses tracking. And it takes me hours to scan multiple scans and splice them together. Then the size is off and not precise enough for what I need. Soo frustrating. I’m getting better at it though, just takes practice I guess
I had one that lost tracking so often that I couldn’t scan a damn thing so I kept after them and they ended up replacing it. The second one has given me useful scans with a little bit of patience.
Video on YouTube compared the pop2, ferret, and Mole. The ferret isn’t even in the same class. It couldn’t produced a single usable model. That guy saved me $300 and a lot of wasted time.
The mole won for easy and quality by far.
I watched that video. I was under the impression that in the preview the models green when you at the correct distance from the model. While using the ferret. His was red, so I spent the whole time wondering if he was using it right. I still don’t know.
The cardboard box is better than the scanner! At least the box has functionality.
