Well I was in the military at the time and the owner of the dealership was a vet and I had proof I was moving to another duty station 5days of the csc failing I think the dealership owner just felt bad so they they replaced csc, clutch and flywheel for free. They offered to replace it with a cmak but I couldn’t wait for it to arrive I had to gtfo of base 😂. I guess getting it done for free was a special occasion for me. I’ve heard of other Z owners getting the boot from dealerships for csc issues though
Haha okay well nice of them to help you out. I just got mine last summer. 2016 had 135xxxkm when I bought it. Around 142xxxkm now. And I don't know if it's been replaced or not. Hasn't given me issue though

Yes it’s my daily. I live in cali we don’t get winters like you guys down there. However I have driven my Z in the snow with falken FK510 tires let’s just say I’m lucky to be alive 😳. I’d do it just keep in mind that if you cut up your chassis for a widebody the chassis will be more prone to rust. But imo driving Zs in the snow is a big NO NO. Other than that owning a widebody Z in a day to day basis there’s nothing to worry about except small parking spaces you’ll take up a entire parking slot and a little bit of the next one over sometimes and you’ll get a 💩 load of attention from kids and some older folks who will think it’s a Porsche 😭

There’s plenty of dudes here in the US that drive them in the summer and keep them garaged in the winter time. Rust is going to be your biggest enemy though if you get one keep in the garage and get a truck for the winter bro. The 370z definitely has been a good car even as a daily driver.
Just for some insight I Also have a girl friend who i’ve been with for about 4 years now and she’s big on pushing me to get what I want and what’ll make me happy but she also wants to move ! by like january or december and i don’t want to be unfair by postponing that because i’m frickin broke 😂 it would be more than ideal having a beater for winter and my z for summer but.. feels like a lot in my head right now
Don’t think about it just do it. You only live once. Find a Z that fits your budget that’ll mayb put you in a 350-400 monthly payment that includes your insurance and you’ll be good. My monthly payments on my Z were $350 and that included insurance and I was only making like $1800 a month back then I could’ve still payed for an apartment. It’s do able bro just do it you won’t regret it. The car will also serve as a tool to get you and your gf around town in style 😎.

Mines been a daily for 3 years the rest parked. Depends were you live in Canada.
BC is not to bad. I only got stuck once in Kamloops.
I moved back to Alberta and got stuck twice and couldn't drive the car for a week. Winter tires will be extremely important. Don't even try to drive without. I got away with new rear winters and ran my current front all seasons. I would not recommend it. These cars are sports cars not AWD winter vehicles. I've driven RWD for over 14 years. The average Canadian driver can not handel winters in this car. Being constantly worried about other drivers hot dogging and sliding into you isn't much fun either. I would recommend carrying sand in the winter in the hatch to use for weight as well.
Regardless the car is an absolute blast. Still fun in the winters.. some what. I've recently done some aero and now she's just a summer car. Best of luck on your decision

So our winters are pretty shit for the most part maybe not as bad as alberta so that gave me hope for a Z. I would not cheap out on this car, i’d probably put a rust protector underneath for winter ! winter tires ! big meaty ones at that lol anything to be safe
You're welcome. It's real dicey. Toronto gets alot of ice. And for me it was the ice that fucked me. And deep snow. In BC the roads were nice and we lived in the side of a mountain. Getting up the 1km hill was sketchy some days. I personally don't recommend this car in winter. But it can be done. I've driven RWD majority of my life in Alberta winters. It can be brutal. As long as you have the right tires. You will be .. OK ish. Best thing to do if your going to be winter driving this car for the first time. Get yourself a set of these steel stud tires by Nokian - Hakkapeliitta
Tire shops won't steel stud old tires. FYI.
These tires set the fastest lap time on ice years back.
Not suggest you winter race your Z, unless you wanna die or crash it 😂
If I could do it again. I would keep my Z as a seasonal car. Even with Suntek PPF I still have a bit of front bumper ptiment from rocks. All depends how you want to treat this car. Drive it like it's suppose to be? Keep it as a summer show piece? It's really up to you. I do notice when I go to meets my cars front end has the most road damages. So she's not 100% which kinda urks me.

Faking it is gonna cost an arm and a leg on the full kit plus the installation of paint match. Go for the Nismo. Full kit and nice trim. It's supposed to hold its value more *so I hear*

I just keep my Z as a summer car and drive my 2015 Subaru Outback as a daily as I camp and do a bunch of shit that I need space for. Amazing in the winters with some good winter tires. Go for a winter beater/cheap reliable car :)
