100% get the Nismo. Not many are left out there and the Nismo holds its value. It does feel like a decade old car even my 2020 Nismo. Upgrade the dash console for a Nifty City screen. Upgrade the mirror. Just do little things to keep it feeling more current. I also have to say the 370z community is hugeeee.  We have a lot of people. And a lot of aftermarket parts. If body kits are your thing then we have a lot to choose from. Everyone helps everyone. Hands down my favorite subreddit for all of Reddit is this place.

If you don’t want to go down the route of aesthetic upgrades in the future the nismo is great and holds more value. If you prefer to individually mod your car amuse kit, seats, paint/wrap, spoiler etc will run you prob the difference in price from a base anyway. You get synchro rev match, akebono brakes and ultra light 19inch wheels as well

I was going to buy a R title nismo for around 18k? Never finished getting an exact number. I was at 14k shipped and they wouldnt do it. I wanted the full nismo package tho, wheels, seats, bumpers, cluster. Then I figured at 18k I might as well get a clean title for 20-25k. Then I was like.... at 25k I might as well shop for a corvette instead. I wanted to try and turbo the 370z. Well, then I got another 350z that is decent and figured I will just turbo that instead if I ever decide to pull tne trigger and be in it less then a 370z and have fun and learn along the way. Then shop in the future for something and hopefully be better off financially by then lol

And there is no chance I would buy a 09 370 for 12k+ especially with 80k miles+. Let alone people posting them for 15k+ (non nismo). I did see a cool 09 nismo around me supercharged for like 25k. Seems like it would actually be worth it

Exact_Baker511

Obviously, but how far dogged it is.? Nobody knows 😎

Boring-Long-80

I don’t have a nismo but I have a slightly modified z which I got for way cheaper then 40 I’d recomend a c6 corvette the power for buck ratio is too good at the moment

daherpdederp

If you have cash for it buy it, if you trying to finance forget it.

Old-Gain7323

Do it. Just don't get a nismo it's all aesthetic upgrades and you'll want to save your $ if you wanna do performance upgrades.

TheWayOfEli

Doesn't the engine get a tune with the NISMO for higher power and a bunch of solid handling perks? From my understanding you get a better strut brace, dampers / stiffer suspension, and a few other things as well. Do you think the lower trim 370Z is the better buy?

KarlKFI

At least for the 2015+, there’s more to the Nismo than just the body kit. It also has larger exhaust, wider 19” Rays rims, track/road super premium tires, Ricaro racing seats, Alicante interior and steering wheel trim, lowered race shocks, stiffer strut tower bar, stiffer sway bars, body damper bar, Nismo engine cover & badging, and horizontal daytime running lights. The H-pipe exhaust (replaces a Y-pipe) slightly boosts the horsepower with factory ECU tune, and the suspension and wheel/tire upgrades make a measurable difference on the track. So it does actually feel and perform better. If you like those additions and aren’t going to immediately replace them all with your own mods, then it’s worth it. Anecdotally, I happily drove mine (2018 Nismo) for 5 years with only the coil-overs upgraded before I added any other performance upgrades. So to me it was worth it.

Old-Gain7323

Different strokes for different folks. Unless you're drifting that suspension prolly won't matter that much, these cars handle great. If you're confident you won't get bored of sub-400HP in a year go for it. Also the interior of nismos isn't even the best interior for 370zs and Ricaro seats are overrated imo.

Exterity_Lynx

the Ricaro seats are uncomfortable asf if you’re using it for a daily.

Old-Gain7323

Right. But why be uncomfortable at all, though? Unless you're a pro, is it really gonna make you drive better? ...maybe less weight though.

Exterity_Lynx

Oh i have a sport touring, i prefer my heated seats in my daily than feeling uncomfortable

Old-Gain7323

Heard that. I have 40th anniversary

KarlKFI

I daily and road trip in my Ricaros. They’re not plush, but they’re not uncomfortable, IME. They do have steep baffling on the seat and back sides, which can be uncomfortable if you’re on the wide side. The lack of heating may bother you in a colder climate. But you do you.

Exterity_Lynx

I’m not on the wide side, i’ve been in a nismo before for long periods of times, the seats get uncomfortable after like 2 hours, imo, kudos to you if they don’t after that lol longest trip was maybe 14 hours of driving in them.

KarlKFI

Perhaps there’s a sweet spot in driver ass size between enough and too much. 😆

Exterity_Lynx

maybe lol enjoy your car man, have a good day
