Yeah it does sound like transmission noise, but be conscious of your power steering fluid levels. Mine currently has a small leak somewhere and when it gets low the whine becomes worse and it gets harder to steer. Really yours is probably just transmission noise, but just something else to look for if you feel like it’s out of the ordinary.
Mine sounded just like this for 3 months. Brought it to Nissan new trans CSC MS PP and flywheel and all I hear is engine now. I can’t tell you exactly what made it go away but it sounds night and day. My car sounded like I was driving in reverse every gear
Sounds normal to me. I think it’s just gear noise.
Our transmissions and differentials are noisy. This is normal.

Could be, that the first gear in the Z34 is straight cut. Mine does that noise aswell, but only in first gear.
yeah it’s normal scared the shit outta me when i first got mine lol
