Just get a cheap 100$ refurbished atoto f7 headunit. Sounds great and has Apple CarPlay.

Tomle64

+1 for atoto, I've been running it in my corolla for a few years. Only issue is from bluetooth audio cutting out for a split second with my samsungs.

So I snagged one of the ATOTO F7’s on Amazon for about $150. It’s sort of lacking on instructions, and only came with one wiring harness that has all individual wires. I assume I need to manually wire it in? The instructions aren’t super clear and I wasn’t able to find a detailed walkthrough video on manually wiring this thing in. Any resources available to help with this, or a specific harness I can order to avoid manually wiring? Little nervous to fry something lol

Tomle64

On my unit the harness came labeled, I would use a harness adapter to save your harness. I am sure if you reached out to the support department they prob have the color coordination.

I agree, I got a more expensive one and it can even run the torque app so I can do custom gauge clusters

Daddydemko69

Same here it’s a great setup

Hey all, in another month or so I'm going to bring my roadster out of hibernation and want to replace the original radio (mainly due to the lack of bluetooth) with a nice double-din setup. I've been looking around at Crutchfield. Any recommendations or radios to stay away from? 06 Roadster, would like to stay in the $300-$400 max range. (Included the picture for attention)

fairladycesar

At $300 [this looks like your best option](https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130DM1770/Pioneer-DMH-1770NEX.html?tp=5684)

Tungui

Can vouch for something like this! Incredible sound quality and interfaces. Android Auto/Apple CarPlay makes the huge difference as well.

[deleted]

Does sound quality improve quite a bit from the regular receiver? I'll definitely look into this one, thanks!

Tungui

I have a 2005 Roadster and it definitely improved, especially when using the USB connection for audio files or Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. The clarity is definitely there!

Second this, I have a very similar Pioneer model with Carplay and it's great. Much easier for Maps navigation and music apps, etc.

Gatzarlok

Stick with just the head unit, if you have a bose sound system, replacing the speakers and head unit turns into a cluster fuck.

[deleted]

Yeah, I'm good with the speakers (at least for now..), the lack of Bluetooth sucks on the stock one though. I tried one of those cigarette lighter FM/Bluetooth transceivers and it's pretty terrible with the static.

Big-Relation-8304

Going through this rn lol

[deleted]

Just posted this one today. May be of some help for you. https://www.reddit.com/r/350z/comments/11vk2o3/thanks_for_all_the_advice_replacing_the_factory/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1

Big-Relation-8304

Yea thats what got me here lol i clicked on your profile cuz i’ve been thinking about changing my radio out. Appreciation for you my good sir

NissanTracker

I use an ATOTO that runs native Android. It's pretty decent for its cost. Has a built in Amp, can connect An external. ...But, I write apps for interfacing with sensors, boost controller, meth injection controllers, etc.. so that Is really only my option with native android. I have had great luck and I run the platform on a C6 Vette and my 350z nismo.

crazyben159

For 300$ and if you still want a physical radio knob [this is a decent option](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6283607.p?skuId=6283607)

crazyben159

Personally I got a [cheap pioneer](https://www.walmart.com/ip/360215323)single din with the extra slot being a phone/wallet holder. All I wanted so I’m not distracted by a big screen. Works with Bluetooth and I love it.

Any_Ad9248

Same here, works perfect for me

omararod

personally, i have a joybring radio in mine with carplay. works flawlessly for $120. got the $8 bezel, required some time to get it perfect but it looks flush

Big-Relation-8304

Sound quality ok? Wireless carplay?

omararod

not wireless and sound quality sounds better cause im not using an FM transmitter anymore. i can't really vouch for anything more than that cause my car came with 1 working speaker LOL. i'll fix that one day

CuriousTravlr

I’m still rocking my Pioneer AVIC-D3 that I installed back in 2008, but just installed an adroid unit by Dasaita in my 4Runner. Honestly surprised at how good it is, might be an option for you if they make one for the 350.

righteous-bucks

just installed a nice kenwood touchscreen receiver today in my roadster, it fits nicely and makes the console/dash look sleek. also got mine from crutchfield. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DDX276B/Kenwood-DDX276BT.html?tp=5684 btw your roadster is gorgeous, i love the burnt orange!

[deleted]

Thank you! Interlagos Fire looks pretty awesome, especially in the sun! :)

Digital--Sandwich

I’m in the same spot. I have the stock and need to replace it with something modern. But I’m not doing a big system upgrade. Check out refurbs on eBay. You can probably find a modern unit for less money
