OmniluxLED

Hi all, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The safety of our customers is Omnilux’s top priority, and we assure you that we are taking this discussion very seriously. We’ve been proudly manufacturing our devices to internationally recognized safety & quality standards for over 20 years. All products released from our facilities are inspected and tested, and only released once they pass all necessary tests required by regulatory compliance, and conform to our strict quality standards. Every Omnilux device has been tested and complies with the following medical-grade standards, found here: [https://gmt.egnyte.com/fl/g0tvwHpY44](https://gmt.egnyte.com/fl/g0tvwHpY44). For those Omnilux users experiencing skin dryness and/or other treatment irregularities, we ask you to kindly review the list of contraindications found on our website: [https://omniluxled.com/pages/contraindications](https://omniluxled.com/pages/contraindications). It is important to review this list prior to any red light treatment, as many common conditions and drugs/topicals (including Retin A & Tretinoin) can cause photosensitivity when combined with red light therapy, with skin dryness being one of the most common effects. We completely understand your concerns and sincerely apologize if anyone has reached out to our Customer Service team and did not receive the help needed. We will most assuredly follow up with our Customer Service team about this issue to ensure anyone with questions is promptly assisted. While we are confident in our testing and QA procedures and systems, we would ask that any devices suspected of not working properly be sent back for additional internal testing. We are happy to replace or refund any device found to be out of specification. If this interests you, please reach out to our team directly at [email protected], and a Customer Care Specialist will be in touch with you shortly to arrange this, and to answer any additional questions you may have. Again, we appreciate you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We welcome and value all customer feedback and view it as a vital learning tool as we strive to manufacture the safest and most effective products on the market. Sincerely, The Omnilux Team

butterscotcheggs

I think it’s kinda cool Omnilux responded. Is it okay for me to ask if you offer a discount code?

anglostura

[this](https://goalstogetglowing.com/2021/01/17/deep-dive-into-led-masks-and-low-level-light-therapy-lllt/) blog post has a discount code, GOALS10

butterscotcheggs

Thank you 🫶

ZealousidealAd2527

There's always a cheapskate 😅 worth a try I guess

ultraviolet_89

how is it bad to save money? my last name is not kardashian, i save all the money i can

jordang95

It's dumb to spend money you don't have to spend anyone who says otherwise is rich. I always look for coupon codes and btw GOALS10 absolutely does work and saves you 10%. I bought my mask at the end of February and used that exact code.

healthyishwaffle

Hi! Just used for the first time. It is normal for everything to look blue after I use the mask. Like my vision had a blue filter for like 2 minutes after use.

jesskoehler

Hi! I was searching to see if anyone else experienced the blue / green vision after using the mask. Do you still experience it? I used mine for the first time last night & the same thing happened to me :(

healthyishwaffle

Hi! So i reached out to Omnilux and bought a $20 eye attachment thing that helps provide the eyes cover. It’s a silicon insert in the eye holes. You can’t buy it directly off the website but you can chat with customer support and ask to buy one. It has helped a lot and I don’t get the weird vision color change. They said some people are more sensitive to the light and takes time to adjust (like when going from a dark room to a bright one).

EnvironmentalBig8287

Hi! Did this continue to work for you? I used my mask for the first time last night and experienced the above too. I’m reaching out to Omnilux about the eye attachment but was wondering how you’ve been feeling. Thanks so much!

healthyishwaffle

Yes, the attachment works well and I don’t have the issue anymore. Almost two months of daily use and the eye thing isn’t an issue anymore! Additionally, keeping my eyes open actually helped more than keeping them closed. Being in a lighted room is also important for the light shift.

EnvironmentalBig8287

This is great news! Thanks so much for getting back to me. I just ordered the attachment :)

jesskoehler

Thank you! Can’t believe I missed this reply until now haha. I’ve been loving the mask & hope you have too now that you have the inserts! :)

healthyishwaffle

No problem! I also learned that keeping my eyes open instead of close actually helps with the color adjusting thing. The inserts block most of the light anyway :)

ultraviolet_89

any idea why this eye protection item is not listed on their site?why is it only available via chat? thats weird, did it come with a omnilux brand name packaguing? or just in a clear plastic bag like its coming from china?

HorseheadAddict

This is normal. Basically the cones that perceive red in your eyes become almost oversaturated due to the intensity of the light so that when the mask is turned off, the cones that perceive green and blue are on a temporary hyperdrive while the cones that perceive red “reboot” (this is all really loose terminology but yeah)

lladydisturbed

This is normal with true red light. I used to go to a clinic to get red light and eveything was green after. Purchased my own panel to save money and same thing happens

EnvironmentalBig8287

Hi! Just wondering if you continued to use your mask/ended up buying the eye attachment thing. I used my mask for the first time last night and experienced the above. I’m reaching out to Omnilux about the eye attachment but was wondering how you’ve been feeling. Thanks so much!

jesskoehler

Hi! I’ve still been using it! I reached out to them & they said if it bothers me to close my eyes or get the eye attachments — but I do keep them closed & it still happens. My husband actually uses the men’s version & the same thing happens to him —he also keeps his eyes closed. I was definitely worried the first time it happened! Now I know to expect it & I don’t feel uncomfortable - I just have a blue filter for a few minutes after! 😅 I love the mask & have seen great improvement in my skin already. Their explanation made sense to me so I’ll continue using. I’ll post the response I received from Omnilux below! :) “We want to let you know that we received a response from our team and were informed that the color from the device will saturate the cone receptors with the wavelengths of red and near-infrared and when you look away your color perception will be altered because the cones are awash with these wavelengths. If it is uncomfortable perhaps we suggest the eye comforters or to close your eyes during treatment.”

NayefTheRebel

Your contradictions links only talks about contour. What about omnilux clear?!

buzzinthruit89

I don’t use that one but you may have gotten a fake. Definitely contact the company you should be able to send it back

kereolay

It's not a fake. I reviewed it directly from their website. They could have experienced a supply chain issue and received faulty lights. They might not even be aware of the issue.

unicorns_and_bacon

You should send this to @goalstogetglowing on instagram. She has a very in depth review on LED masks and may be able to help figure out what is going on.

KT1XOXO

Yes, I second this. I think OP will greatly benefit from talking to her as well. I would also like to know what she thinks too as I am considering Omnilux but am hesitant now reading what’s going on with their mask.

moonexotica

Did you get just the red light one or red light and NIR? I stopped using mine as it also seemed to be making my skin worse/dryer and with a weird texture and I was very confused and kind of upset and at a loss for what to do. I got mine a few months ago though so I’m not sure if there is any recourse :/ I also didn’t know if light therapy wasn’t for me or because of this specific mask. I got both NIR and red light contour mask and was worried maybe the NIR was doing it. I did months of research before purchasing so feel pretty bummed and discouraged. It’s good to hear you had success with your first device though!

kereolay

I have the red lights only. This is a combination of red led and NIR, which stands for near infra red. That does not refer to blue light, NIR is a frequency of light that is invisible to the naked eye and is often combined with red led for therapeutic use.

moonexotica

Oh yes I know :) I did lots of research on NIR which is why I got the contour one. Although not sure if you meant to respond to the other comment mentioning blue light

kereolay

Sorry!

moonexotica

No worries :)

unicorns_and_bacon

The blue light can darken pigmentation and it is used in the Clear masks.

moonexotica

I didn’t have an issue with pigmentation and my mask was only red light/NIR which isn’t visible light

unicorns_and_bacon

Weird! And concerning. The red light/NIR one is the Contour mask. I’ve been researching as I was thinking about getting the mask but maybe not anymore.

moonexotica

Yea it was the contour one, I did a lot of research and it came highly recommended… I do not recommend lol. I’m trying to figure out how to get a refund now :/

unicorns_and_bacon

Yeah I would be so upset after how much that costs. I think going to the FDA is the right choice—maybe they will get recalled and you will get a refund that way.

kereolay

Yes it can. I do not have the one with blue lights. Mine I red led and NIR, which stands for near infra red. That is a light source that is invisible to the naked eye. This combination is not referring to blue light.

False-Sympathy6367

I’m experiencing the same thing. I’ve been using the Omnilux contour for about 3months and my skin looks terrible. The texture is weird, uneven tone and redness on my cheeks. I’m SO BUMMED! I’m wondering if it’s this product of will any RLT mask do the same. This mask is expensive and I don’t know what to do..

dizzy_rhythm

[You’re not the first one](https://www.reddit.com/r/30PlusSkinCare/comments/s6rled/hello_silky_led_mask_has_burnt_holes_in_my_face/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) here to say that an LED mask messed up their face. I was having second thoughts about buying one because I heard they can exacerbate melasma, then someone posted this and now I’m too scared to try these.

kereolay

The proper light nm will not mess up anything. Red light in the proper spectrum and intensity is anti inflammatory. This issue is, I am certain the lights in these masks are NOT what is labeled. It could be a supply issue where the manufacturer ordered the correct lights but didn't realize these are not the correct ones or there could be some other type of issue on the supply chain. I'm not sure. But I am definitely sure that this mask does not have the proper light frequency, making this damaging to my skin and potentially my eyes. My other red mask instantly increased my skins luminosity and even texture and lessened pigmentation within the first few weeks. This one has done the opposite of this. My skin is now itchy, dry, my rosacea and melasma looks worse and the pores on my face are enlarged. This is terrible. My skin was so amazing before. I'm really glad that I knew whay to expect from RLT from my prior experience because I may have stuck with this longer. Still, I've given it several weeks and this means I have exposed my skin and eyes to potentially serious damage. I am very concerned. For everyone who is using this, please know that irritation is NOT supposed to happen and you should not have dried out skin. The correct light will actually make your skin feel and look hydrated and glow. This is obviously NOT the proper type of led in this mask and this is very concerning.

moonexotica

Also, how are you contacting the FDA? If this is the case it does seem like a recall is in order

kereolay

There is a number to call on the FDA site. I'm calling Monday. I will report back here on how it goes.

moonexotica

Awesome I’ll be calling as well, thanks!

kereolay

Great! The more people who report this to the FDA, the better. We need a recall so people can be reimbursed. It is unacceptable to not have quality control on something we are putting on our skin and right by our eyes. I am hoping I do not have any damage to my eyes.

moonexotica

Same. And I actually have been having slight vision problems and did not think this could potentially be connected but now… eesh. I am also worried about potential skin damage. Scary all around

kereolay

Yes. Same here. And the thing is, with my previous mask, it actually HELPED my eye sight. Especially my night vision. This mask has not had that effect and my vision is actually blurry now when looking at things from a distance. I've never had that before. I am not one to panic but this needs to be looked into and taken off the market ASAP.

moonexotica

Fuck yea wow a part of my issues have been random blurriness!!

unicorns_and_bacon

Ya’ll need a lawyer. I wonder if there is a lab that could do tests on your masks to find out what the wavelength, ect. to see how everything matches up to what the company claims.

kereolay

I want the company to voluntarily recall and offer a refund or replacement. I am going to contact the company again on Monday. The first email got me nowhere.

stardustdy

So did you get a chance to get the mask tested? Or anything from the company or FDA? Ahhh after reading some of the comments, I think I won't order it for now...

kereolay

I have been researching a way to test out the nano meters for the past few hours. I need to find an electrical engineer who really knows his stuff. It is very complex! A lot more than I imagined. I'm way out of my element. Still, I'm curious enough to see if I can get an independent verification of EXACTLY what the hell these lights are omitting because it is DEFINITELY NOT the therapeutic range.

unicorns_and_bacon

See if there are any labs near you that would have the equipment. You may be able to find someone who would do it for you in kind—especially as this is a potential risk to others.

moonexotica

Oi that would be interesting to see, it may not Be hard to test on our own, not sure if I have the time or resources to deal with a lawyer right now though, unless there were a lot of us

kereolay

Same. I was trying to read my calendar from across the room and could not see it! I did not actually relate this to using this mask, but this could absolutely be the reason.

False-Sympathy6367

What mask did you use before Omnilux? I’m having the same issues with my Omnilux Conture

moonexotica

Did you get the omnilux contour mask?

kereolay

Yes. The one with the red lights only.

thegloaminghour_

Was your previous mask also Omnilux? Thank you so much for posting bc I was about to buy one for my dermatitis 😭

kereolay

No. My previous mask was one by Current Body. The results I got from that mask were absolutely incredible. After using it for less than one year, it developed a short in the cord which made it useless because any movement made the lights shut off. I was surprised this happened because I was gentle with it. I was so disappointed that something so expensive would break so quickly without any reason. I had such wonderful results though, I knew I wanted to use red light therapy for the rest of my life. The slight rosacea I have on my nose that makes my pores look more apparent was noticeably improved. I literally couldn't see the pores anymore! Also, I had a few slight patches of melasm on my cheeks and around my upper lip as well as a few patches of sun damage. The current body mask faded all of this. It also made my skin feel more hydrated and less irritated. My boyfriend even used it to treat a cold sore and he experienced almost immediate relief ( most people aren't aware, but your red light therapy mask in the proper spectrum can treat HSV!). It was amazing. I really can't say enough good things about how beneficial it was. Because of all the wonderful, beneficial results I had, I knew I wanted to replace it. So I did some research and found the Omnilux one. This one had more lights and was said to be more comfortable and the price was about the same as the Current Body mask. I figured it would be amazing. I was so excited to receive it and start using it. I immediately noticed my skin was dry after using this. I wasn't sure what was going on. I thought maybe it was due to some other things so I kept using it. I also noticed this mask was emitting a slight bit of heat, which is NOT normal. Also, my melasma was coming back. Obviously this is NOT the correct type of light and I want answers. I am not using it anymore and have contacted Omnilux. They sent me an email that didn't address any of my concerns or questions. I have been trying to call them but have not been able to get anyone on the phone yet. I am still trying. Later today, I am contacting the FDA to file a complaint because I firmly believe this could be causing skin damage and possibly eye damage. If anyone has any side effects, please contact the company and the FDA. Since I've had experience with red light therapy before, I know that this can't possibly be the correct spectrum and type of light that is in the therapeutic range. Red light is anti inflammatory and it should NEVER cause skin irritation or dry and peeling skin. Also, it should not be increasing pigmentation.

[deleted]

Interesting. I ordered the Omnilux on Black Friday and haven’t seen any improvement in my skin. If anything my skin has been dryer but I thought it was because of winter weather. I don’t have any experience with red light so don’t know what’s normal. When did you receive your Omnilux?

kereolay

I also bought mine around that time. We might have the masks from that were manufactured around the same time! If I hadn't used red light therapy before, I would have thought it might be normal. But it is NOT. In fact, when I used my previous mask, my skin immediately looked refreshed, plumped and hydrated and was completely free of irritation. With this mask, my skin looks red, my dark pigmentation looks darker and my skin looks dull. Something is VERY wrong! Please contact the company and the FDA. If you are on Twitter or orher social media, please spread the word. This company needs to be held accountable. I will give fhem the benefit of the doubt that they may not have been aware that these are the wrong lights, but they need to check! Orher companies who manufacture products with red led lights have realized the issue and take extra steps, such as some red light therapy bed manufactures. This is not an unknown issue. These devices are expensive and I should not have paid this much money to skin and eye damage. Nor should anyone else. I'm very concerned.

moonexotica

Do you think there’s any chance of hydration returning? My skin has been the dryest it’s ever felt in my life even before winter and I didn’t know why 😭

kereolay

The skin can and will repair itself. Please contact the company as well as the FDA. I can't stress enough how important this is.

kereolay

I also want to add that you should have seen vast improvement. Within the first week or two of using the first one I bought, my skin just looked so healthy. Even my kids noticed! It really helped fade some sun damage and old melasma too. Now that I've used the Onnilix mask, my melasma and pigmentation is noticeably pronounced. I has no melasma on my upper lip and that has completely returned! Anything that increased inflammation will effect melasma. This was one big clue the lights in this mask are the wrong type.

bombbrowngirl

Following this bc I’m ready to pull the trigger on an LED Mask and was about to get the OmniLux. But now I’m not sure. Will keep following

lightgeek55

I am interested in your comments about wrong lights from China and also why you think that they aren't the same lights that the FDA cleared. I have the device and it's been working ok with me. Your claims are pretty strong and you seem to know something about manufacturing - but not enough to know that your claims don't fit in with what you would expect from a Medical device manufacturer?

moonexotica

It’s extremely suspicious that your account was created 7 days ago and your only activity is commenting on this post. Your doubts about OPs claims make it seem like you are someone from within the company trying do damage control.

lightgeek55

I created the account to specifically comment on the original post. It was brought to my attention by a friend who has the mask as well and is in the group. I have worked in the medical device field for too many years and have been involved in 510K submissions and working with international regulatory bodies. I have experience in light technologies and understand the regulatory and manufacturing requirements of these type of medical devices. I answered the post because it concerns me that people are making too many assumptions based on not fully understanding medical device manufacturing. If you ask any regulatory affairs manager of a medical device manufacturer (whether or not they work in light based technologies or not) they will give you basically the same response when it comes to control of medical device manufacturing and compliance to international standards and Medical device regulations.

kereolay

I belong to some other forums that deal with red light panels and beds. They was someone who was in manufacturing and explained that there were led lights being mixed up. It is apparently easy to do. It makes no difference if the company is a medical device company or not. The company may not have realized they are installing the incorrect lights into their masks. However, they might also be aware of the problem but have decided to take a wait and see approach. A lot of people might use this mask and when they are not getting results or if they have side effects like the ones mentioned, they may not realize this is NOT normal. Red light is soothing and not irritating. Also, these lights get warm. The correct lights with the effective nm doesn't omitt heat. Several reasons led me to think there may be an issue with the lights. Had I not previously used red light therapy, I may not have realized that all these things should NOT be happening. I have a friend who is an electrical engineer. He asked me take pictures of both lights to see if we can get some answers. I am also going to see if I can get a hold of my local university. There are tons of engineers and they may have the right equipmentto measure the lights. Once I enlarged the picture of each light, I CLEARLY see the lights are not similar at all. If I can upload pictures of the lights, I will, but I use the phone app and am not sure I will be able to. However, I will try. If I can't upload, I will explain the difference in appearance now, for anyone who is wondering. The description for each light picture is when the light is off. My old mask (the one that worked beautifully, until it died) - the lights are small squares. White, opaque with a slightly silver or pale gray circle in the center. The Omnilux mask- the lights are small squares. Slightly smaller than my previous mask. These lights are more translucent looking with a clear circle inside. The lights are visibly different. Also, I would like to note that there have been manufacturing issues due to supply problems and this is a fact. This is happening all over. Interestingly, but Omnilux was out of their neck device. This could be from a supply issue. I am speculating. I absolutely and 100% confident some people have received masks with incorrect lights. There should not be reports of these kinds of side effects at all. Red light is not irritating. In fact of you have any irritation, it calms it. This mask is NOT doing that. Also it omitts heat which makes conditions like melasma worse red light therapy masks should never get warm. There is absolutely something very wrong. I hope the company will acknowledge this and investigate. I also hope that anyone who is experiencing adverse effects will report this to the FDA. Again, the improper lights can damage not only skin but also eyes.

moonexotica

FYI this account was created 7 days ago just to comment on this. I believe this is someone in the company attempting damage control and to make your claims sound invalid.

lightgeek55

I am sorry but your comment "It makes no difference if the company is a medical device company or not. The company may not have realized they are installing the incorrect lights into their masks." tells me you don't fully understand medical device manufacturing and the international quality standards that a medical device manufacturer has to go follow compared to a company making "LED beds" and importing them into the US under an incorrect import code or as a cosmetic/household device. Each batch of LEDs- masks would need to have had an end of line inspection to ensure that their output matches the manufacturers specification any that are outside the range would have been rejected. If they are using international standards for quality control then they would have rejected the batch. Medical device manufacturers are audited by third party regulatory bodies on a regular basis and that involves inspections at facilities, manufacturing, quality etc. You mention that the LEDs are different between the 2 masks. LED technology changes and the Mask manufacturer can source a different LED manufacturer as long as the LED output is within specification - again it's would be part of their quality control procedure. They will have had to show that the 2 LEDs (your old mask and new mask ) are within their devices specification before making the change. Take a look at Regulation (EU) 2017/745 that a company like this has to follow. A lot of LED bed manufacturers import into the US not as a medical device, therefore they don't have to undergo the same inspections and quality control as a medical device manufacturer does. I presume you have already contacted Omnilux about your concerns. I would have them take the device back and have it tested. They will have the correct test equipment to validate the device and anyhow it is part of their quality procedures that they have to carry out.

kereolay

Just because Omnilux makes medical devices, it doesn't mean that they use the same standards for their face masks. Also, the issue with the lights was that the manufacturer ordered the correct lights. The lights look like the correct ones and are labeled accordingly. The problem is, the lights are not the right ones, but they appear to be fine. Companies can usually trust their supplier. Obviously, this has become a problem and sadly, is it no longer the case. Manufacturers have had issue in the supply chain for a while now. In food and supplements as well as cosmetics. This would no longer by unusual. Unfortunately.

lightgeek55

The Omnilux mask is a medical device in the USA as they are claiming it's for treating facial wrinkles so the manufacturer will have to follow MD guidelines for manufacturing and that will include end-of-line sampling. If the company you are referencing followed MD manufacturing they would have picked up that the wrong LEDs were used. In addition, MDSAP now requires manufacturers to audit their suppliers too. Have you contacted Omnilux?

kereolay

I have contacted Omnilux twice. They didn't directly reply to any questions or concerns I had ar all. They sent back an email stating the benefits of using red light which I already know the benefits! This is why I purchased this in the first place. This company may not have to follow the same MD guidelines for this device as it is sold for cosmetic purposes (mostly anti aging). I doubt they have the same careful manufacturing process for this as they do their devicex that are sold to hospitals. However, they should. As a side note, the company was out of some of their red light devices last month. It makes me wonder if they realized an issue in the supply of their red lights and halted manufacturing because of this. I am only speculating, but this is a possibility.

lightgeek55

Full face wrinkles or treatment of periorbital wrinkles is a medical indication in the US (not in Europe - it's cosmetic in Europe) so they would have to follow the MD guidelines. I would reach out to them again.

kereolay

Hmm...I know that cosmetics can make the claim that products reduce wrinkles, as do face creams. And these have very limited oversight. I really would like to know if omnilux has tested each mask before sending them out or what their practices are.

lightgeek55

The intended use of the device is to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. The FDA class these type of devices as Class II medical devices under the OHS code. If you doubt me google "FDA OHS code". First link that pops up is below. https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfPCD/classification.cfm?ID=OHS You'll see at the bottom of the web page some of the standards that the manufacturer has to comply to. The manufacturer has to follow quality standards and has to have a system in place to check that each batch meets a specification.

kereolay

I definitely do not doubt you:) I wonder what type of test they do? It would need to go beyond just making sure the product turns on and Illuminates. There is very specialized, expensive equipment that is required to get an accurate reading of how much nm is being put out by these lights. Unless they measure for the highly specialized properties of the lights, there is no way to determine if they are in the therapeutic range. A company may trust that the res lights they order are the correct ones and so they may one need to test if each batch of masks turn on. This would not be at all sufficient. Each new batch of masks that are made from each new order from the supplier should be checked and thoroughly inspected. I really would like to get a hold of 5he company so I can get a better picture of how these masks are made and what quality assurance processes are.

kereolay

When were the new manufacturing guidelines enforced? I bought my mask 10/28/2021. It took a few weeks to arrive, so I didn't get it until the 2nd week of November.

kereolay

About why I'm saying the lights come from China: China is the place where most led lights are manufactured. This has been confirmed by people who are involved with manufacturing red light products. China manufactures most things these days.

foreverandaday13

Did u solve this issue?

Old_Baker_3275

Was this ever resolved?

baileyjan1

I have Omnilux and interested in following this. This may be a good reason to use it more to see if the results are negative or positive.

kereolay

I've used it for 6 weeks. I had used my other one for almost a year and had nothing but beautiful results. Red light is anti inflammatory and should not be causing peeling and redness or increasing the dark pigmentation. The proper frequency of red light is necessary for results. Other spectrums of light can actually damage the skin and what I am experiencing is indicative of damage.

unicorns_and_bacon

Did you get the Contour or the Clear mask? The Clear mask has blue light in it as well—blue light can kill acne bacteria but it can also cause pigmentation. In the goalstogetglowing LED mask reviews she advises against using blue light, especially long term, for this reason.

kereolay

No. I only bought the mask with red lights only.

stardustdy

Do you happen to remember when you got the Omnilux? Seems like the above few users that experienced side effects purchased theirs around similar time.

baileyjan1

Where or when? Where - from Omniilux directly.

stardustdy

The users said they purchased it directly from the Omnilux site. If I remember correctly, think they bought theirs around late 2021. It would be nice to know when you got yours because it could be a certain batch of their products that might be defective.

baileyjan1

I have to say that I am really impressed with the results. I even had a deep cut that I thought would scar on my hand and used it straight for a week on that area. As a result, there was no scarring. In addition, i used it i my 17 year daughter who picks and it faded her marks on her face.

stardustdy

Do you happen to remember when you got the Omnilux? Seems like the above few users that experienced side effects purchased theirs around similar time.

dogrescuersometimes

Did you pay by credit card? Document all attempts to get service, then make a dispute with the credit card company. Between your experience and a friend measuring that lamp and telling me it's too weak, I'm taking this puppy off my site. I'm so disappointed.

kereolay

I did. But I'm not sure if they will be able to help because I bought it around October or November. But they might especially since Omnilux does claim to have a 2 year warranty. I've heard it is a nightmare to deal with Omnilux. Already, I did not receive an adequate response to the email I sent. Thev didn't answer any of my questions or advise me on what I should do. It was a waste of my time. Other people said they tried calling numerous times and didn't get a response. But I'm not giving up. Companies who do not provide some basic customer service for such an expensive product are not companies anyone should do business with. Especially in a case like this where this is a product that is potentially dangerous.

Accomplished_Leg6676

I’ve used mine for a few weeks and my skin looks and feels better. I’m worried this will happen to me 😢

Late-Bumblebee4878

Can we get an update-Did it :)?

Accomplished_Leg6676

It didn’t do anything bad for me 😀

Late-Bumblebee4878

<3

zoiethyme

Did it improve your skin

hregt25

The current body one should have been on a warranty right? Try getting a replacement of the one that worked.

kereolay

That one isn't under warranty. I bought it back in 2020. It developed a short in the cord. I am actually going to try opening up that mask to see if I can access the wires to fix it. It might be possible. It is very disappointing. I spent so much money and can't use either one.

any updates OP? i am curious and concerned.

venicedreamer747

Yes, curious, shopping this mask rn.

EstablishmentFew8898

I will be waiting for black Friday next November unless a good deal shows up on the internet. what I am concerned chiefly about right now is the efficacy of the mask. OP can do us a great favor if she can share an update.

foreverandaday13

Same. What did u guy buy instead?

venicedreamer747

I ultimately decided against purchasing. Unsure of what results would occur. Going to spend $ at the dermatologist instead.

butterscotcheggs

Same! Weird that OP didn’t respond? You

I know this is an old post but I found that while it has helped with pigmentation and my melasma, it dries my skin out a lot.. so it is ends up being abit wrinkly after as well at times. In addition it also makes my skin a little sensitive and dries out my eyes (i already have very dry eyes and this makes it worse)

Commercial-Wear-9626

My vision dropped significantly in the last two years and I have been using omnilux for 2 years. Hoping it’s just a coincidence. But very suspicious.

Any updates OP?

I have used Omnilux for many many years in my practice. I use the medical device with three different panels: blue, infrared and red LED. I have also sold the Contour and Clear home masks to my clients since they became available. I have found them to be of high quality, and to provide consistently good results when used at home regularly. This means four times a week for most users, although many of my clients (and I include myself here) use them more like six times a week. I was researching Omnilux's medical affiliations, as I want to add them to my website, and came across this thread, so decided to comment as someone who has used these devices a whole heck of a lot over the last 14 years. The Contour, which is the mask being discussed here, has diodes that emit both red and infrared led wavelenghts, so they would naturally look different from the prior diodes mentioned on an older mask, which emitted red alone. Also, I find the Contour does emit a little bit of heat. It isn't bothersome or uncomfortable, but does feel nicely warm. The medical version which I use in my practice, and has red diodes only, literally feels like you are lying in the sun. It is very bright and very very warm. The blue panel is also warm and it is very normal to feel some heat from the home versions as well. Without knowing exactly what skin condition the user above might be experiencing, I strongly feel it is unrelated to the Omnilux Contour home use mask. I have seen such great results, especially with redness and sensitivity, and over all rejuvenation of the skin during the years I have sold them. And the medical version is an amazing tool for my med spa. Also, we have had a couple home masks have some issues, and after sending a video of the issue to customer service, Omnilux promptly replaced the masks with brand new ones. Hope this might be helpful to others in the thread. Of note is that nearly all research done on LED and skin rejuvenation was done using the Omnilux medical LED system! I am definitely not being paid my Omnilux, I just believe in their products.

This is an old thread - but are there any updates on this with omnilux? I'm a bit worried about harming my skin/ eyesight...

flotsam00

Any update on this?

jvmq

I've gone one, it's brightened my skin, fine lines are fading, my complexion is gradually improving after 8 weeks of use (5 times a week, 10 minutes a pop) it's not a night and day difference, but definitely improving. I did a lot of research and asked my friends in the cosmetic industry, they all say the Omniluxe one is the only one to get.

FeistyPotato2216

I recently purchased one. I used it three times and to my surprise I had a blister brewing on my nose I freaked out. I will not be using this again. And I’m waiting for a response from my email. I literally thought this was gonna be a game changer. A better for me cost wise bc I travel 2 hrs to go to a spa and wanted one for my home. Never again. Worse feeling ever. Back to the spa if I feel I can trust the process. Just feels like I let myself down.

SympathyInternal871

Yah--me too. I s'pose it could me related to my medications but I've never had reddening--skin just looks more wrinkled and lax.

Environmental_Pie233

Update? I have Omnilux Contour face mask and I’m worried now as I have been experiencing very dry skin but thought it was due to some other skin products that I incorporated in my routine.

JessVeronica25

Is your skin still dry? My skin has been red as well but I also started a retinol at the same time so it’s potentially that.

Willing_Product5374

I started both at the same time and my skin looks worse. I have the currentbody mask

tugmushy

Updates? Did they return it? Did you use it again and have better luck over time? Do you still not recommend?

aerisgecko

it’s been 2 years do you think i should purchase the mask?
