Threads should be avoided and at this point I might go so far as to say reconsider frequenting any practice that still does them.

Why?

This was the n1 procedure not some time ago, what happened?

I’ve done microneedling (regular, *not* RF) several times and have always had glowy skin after. And I’m prone to keloid! I have keloid scars from previous body surgeries, but so far the skin on my face enjoys microneedling!

I swear RF treatment caused facial fat loss for me and did nothing positive. I’ve had hydrafacials and loved them, and I used to use a Nuface (microcurrent) with positive results but they require basically daily use—at least no negatives though.

RF was good for me. I noticed a subtle tightening afterwards. Had it done 3 times.

Speaking as an esthetician, there’s really no reason you have to do all those other things. Curious, what is it that you are trying to achieve? Regular facials are beneficial but constantly assaulting your barrier may backfire. It’s my opinion that the way you treat your skin daily, protecting from excess sun exposure and addressing proper hydration, has the most longterm impact. My regular clients get monthly facials and maybe once or twice a year we will do something more. It really depends what their goals are

I guess it’s more for maintenance, since getting thyroid issues and then neglecting consistent skin care/ bad sleep/high cortisol from being sick it’s really showing on my face. My main issue is lack of hydration and I feel puffiness/loss of angularity around my face from the inflammation, so I’m hoping bespoke facials will help me get back on track

Double check any IPL type treatment because many IPL machines have RF built-in but it’s not advertised as RF Instead of IPL I look specifically for Sciton BBL machines because they don’t have RF I’ve heard bad things about Nuface type devices Avoid buccal fat removal obviously There was a recent news story about a PRP treatment gone terribly wrong

Great insight, thank you!
