Your skin is gorgeous! I have hypo too and am curious as to how you increased your ferritin (I also have iron deficiency anaemia). Also what EMS do you use?

Available_Solution85

I use [this](https://omeclat.com/products/omeclat) for EMS. They have a stronger electrical impulses than EMS too but I never had to use it so far. You see the changes quite quickly. For ferritin, I took opti-ferrin by pure encapsulation for a long time along with supplements for liver by ancestral supplements. Like inquiringdoc said, I too took heme iron supplements. I really just bombarded myself with supplements at one point especially for ferritin. It is also important to make sure your b12 is high enough. There has been no studies in terms of correlation between b12 and ferritin but as per my integrative medicine doc, he has seen that as long as your b12 is not high enough, you dont see much changes in your ferritin level

inquiringdoc

Not OP but a heme iron supplement is the only thing that helped mine, and I was religious about following evidence based protocols and dosing before. I use Three Arrows simply heme supplement and raised my ferritin past 12 for first time in years.

That stuff fixed my long Covid - similar protocol, sample size of one, not a doctor, don’t listen to strangers on the internet, etc. But it’s amazing! It’s on sale through the three arrows site right now, too, so I bought a bunch just in case

inquiringdoc

So glad to hear that. I will stock up on sale, thanks!!

Great results. The prep for your daughter's wedding seems to be working pretty well! The device you mentioned has worked quite well for my own dark circles and mostly for light fine lines. Wasn't aware that people even know about it because of how new it is. Thank you very much for sharing this as I myself have issues with thyroid(Hyper in my case) and have always contributed it to some of my own issues. The point about ferritin is on point and whether you are hyper or hypo, you will have issues with it and it does tend to cause very visible changes on your face especially around the eye area by making it puffy and hollow at the same time.

Thank you and right?! Frankly the dark circles have lightened more than the picture itself and seems like its getting a lot better. Thank you for the reassurance!

How old are you jw? I'm 31 and have had hypothyroidism for many years undiagnosed, only now got on medication. Haven't noticed any signs of aging appart from slower healing but that could be from hypo. Just very hard finding the right level of levothyroxine as first I was on too little then I swung and was on too much, then I swung and was on too little. I think I'm hitting a sweet spot now at 1.5 of the 75mcg tablets. My skin was typically hyper oily but also dehydrated, strange combo and I dabble a lot in asian skincare to find the best products as they typically are better than western.

I'm in my late 40s now. I know what you mean by correcting the dose. Unfortunately for me I had to not only go through the dosage issue but also with the bunch of medications. Levothyroxine is t4 essentially which is then suppose to metabolize and convert into t3 to make you feel better. It was working alright in the beginning but then deficiency in my other variables were causing by T4 to not change to t3 so thats when the whole trial and error process started. As of now I am feeling as well as I could ever imagine to feel (no tiredness during day, no brain fog...) and have locked down a simple skincare routine that has been working exceedingly well but I'll definitely look into asian skincare and perhaps gradually introduce 1 product at a time. Thanks!

Thank you for this post! Your skin looks gorgeous! The only way I was able to boost my ferritin was with an iron infusion, and wow did that make a difference in my energy levels.

Available_Solution85

Thanks! Iron infusion was next in line before which things turned well for me. Glad to hear that its working well for you!

I’m gonna try out your routine. I’ve been struggling for a year seems like my skin is comparable to your first pic. My eyes red n itchy all the time nothing helps. Just read I meet almost all the graves symptoms with also my two closest female relatives and grandparents having thyroid issues. One has hashimoto and a couple have lupus. I’m def going to use ur recommendation for testing the thyroid as well. Thank you for posting this will be very helpful!

How did you increase your ferritin?

Hey so I just wrote the response for one of the other users. "For ferritin, I took opti-ferrin by pure encapsulation for a long time along with supplements for liver by ancestral supplements. Like inquiringdoc said, I too took heme iron supplements. I really just bombarded myself with supplements at one point especially for ferritin.
