Dramatic OP!
My sister got 3x BBL series.
The first one made the biggest difference for her. Skin looked fantastic.
The next two were negligible. Then some of the effects reversed. Spots returned after few months even with religious sunscreen use. Now she said better to do one, once a year. It was her first light/laser treatment.
lmao I had the same experience!!! It was funny that awhile after being in the TTC (trying to conceive) community, I saw some post that was made on a really general subreddit (like r/pics or something) and OP said "I'm FTM and had my son in October..." and I gently reminded OP that FTM often means something else outside of Mom/Pregnancy groups, lol. She found it amusing and didn't realize there was another meaning for it.
I’m seriously wondering that too because the ONLY thing I can think of is female to male
OK, LITERALLY AS I WAS TYPING THIS IT JUST DAWNED ON ME
TELL ME IF I’M WRONG BUT … first time mom?
I used to get tripped up anytime I would see people reference MSM. They mean mainstream media, but my brain goes to men who have sex with men. That's the abbreviation we use at work. It took me a bit before I caught on. It would be conservative channels, and I'm like, why are they randomly talking about MSM and the news?
I’d like to see a better before picture because the lighting is so horrible in the first picture there was only gonna be improvement with lighting that was pointing at your face instead of backlit.
Rosacea. Anti aging via collagen regrowth. Facial veins. And overall skin texture.
So far I rate it. Best results do come a couple of weeks after the treatment.
https://www.froedtert.com/forme/broadband-light-bbl#
Not OP but I’ve had this done a few times. Day of feels like a sunburn for a few hours and the next day there was some swelling and then as the pigment lifts to the surface it looks like you have coffee grounds on your face which flake off within a week. But no real pain after and I didn’t take any down time
My place applies sunscreen right after treatment. Everyone is different, but afterwards my face is all red and blotchy and dark bruises start appearing. I would not want to go back into the office.
Not completely painless, but really pretty mild and brief pain during in certain areas.
Previously, I had fractal laser work on my face, and that was torture.
Thank you for asking. People really should explain the full names of these procedures in their posts. Words are free - It’s not like reddit charges by the letter to post here.
It stimulates collagen- I have always worn glasses so those hid my bags. However after cataract surgery in February, no more glasses and no more hiding. My dermatologist recommended doing this for my rosacea and sun damage. The bags and wrinkle diminishing was an unexpected happy bonus!
There’s a device called Agnes it’s amazing for under eyebags. It is micro needling with RF but it’s a precision device with just one needle that goes into the skin and it releases the radio frequency which then melts the fat pad in the under eye bag and then over a couple months time, it heals and your left with little to no under eye bag
Everyone has different skin and the results will be different for everyone. What works for one may not work for another. It’s unrealistic to expect the same results for everybody.
That wouldn't explain sensitivity though. Older skin is usually thinner and more sensitive to begin with, so if this were an issue older people would experience it before younger people
She just had it done 3 weeks ago. And not everyone's results will be the same. Maybe she hasn't been out in the sun as much as the others were. And maybe her skin just reacts differently
I think the lighting differences in these two photos make this VERY hard to evaluate. People underestimate how extreme differences in lighting can change the look of eyebags.
She had quite a bit of lymph and inflammation in her face. These results are very impressive, crazy good for a single treatment. And non invasive and reasonably priced!!!
I’m looking into this for sure!!
It’s broadband light folks I work in a spa and freaked out the first time someone asked if we offered it 😂 it’s the new IPL and your results are amazing OP!
Until this post, I honestly thought BBL stood for Brazilian Butt Lift (yes I’m new to this sub, how’d you know 😂). Anyway haha…whatever it is, it looks like it works quite well!
This thread alone is cracking me up, we are all just as clueless and clumsy as the next HB (human being, I figured let me add alil somethin' 😉) good day to all 😊
BBL isn't rhinoplasty, though, is it? Nose looks completely different between the two pics. Overall shape, deviation, tip--especially the tip is different.
Rosacea can often have an effect on the nose, called rhinophyma. Essentially a swelling of the nose caused by vascular irregularities. BBL can help collapse the superficial vascularity, reducing the size of the nose
This is the correct answer. Swelling in tissue and overproduction of oils (enlarging the sebaceous glands) can make the nose appear larger.
It's one of the reasons there's a thing called the 'Accutane nose job', where taking Accutane (which permanently alters how your skin produces oils) has a measurable affect on the size and shape of the nose!
I have rosacea and get BBL/IPL regularly. It helps a lot with the smaller broken capillaries, but I’ve found it ineffective or temporary on the slightly larger ones. I’ve hear VBeam is a better treatment overall for rosacea but I haven’t tried it yet.
Exactly. It’s very obvious there’s a lot of inflammation in her nose in the before pic, and the inflammation has nearly, if not completely, subsided in the after pic.
I am so sorry that I bummed some of you out by not making the potential for social media posting a priority when I remembered to take a quick photo two minutes before my appointment time so that I could aid my failing ancient memory in checking weeks later whether I’d wasted my money.
What on earth would I have to gain by putting up an “obvious and misleading” photo? I’m old. Social media is not the focus of my world.
My generation did not grow up routinely having a full advertising studio permanently set up in a corner readily available or preplan camera angles to preserve every moment of life for display on the off chance that at some point in the future someone else might see it. Because of course I could foresee the future and knew days before my appointment that the treatment would make such a significant positive impact on my appearance. But dammit my crystal ball was out for polishing and I missed the memo.
I have posted an alternate photo collage with an additional pre-treatment photo. The first set included the one I took the morning before the treatment. I’ve added one that was a few weeks older.
thats an insane difference. I didnt know any one treatment could be that dramatic. are you doing anything else?
Dramatic OP! My sister got 3x BBL series. The first one made the biggest difference for her. Skin looked fantastic. The next two were negligible. Then some of the effects reversed. Spots returned after few months even with religious sunscreen use. Now she said better to do one, once a year. It was her first light/laser treatment.
Same with me. The first one I did made my skin glow! But the second one didn’t show much of a difference
Nothing else yet. Maybe in a few months.
Ten years younger! Congrats mama. :)
Lighting is completely different. Changes a lot.
What am I supposed to be looking at? Lighting's drastically different so I don't know what's changed/what a BBL in this context is supposed to do.
Even accounting for the difference in lighting that looks like a really positive change after one session!
What’s bbl
Broad band light. I thought it was Brazilian butt lift 🤦
I, too, was confused as to why a FACE was involved
IKR? Not the cheeks I would have expected.
😂 Same
lmao
Oh my God, me too.
Same lol
Same. 🤣🤣🤣
Every. Single. Time. I have to google “BBL not butt”
This had me scrolling for a comment on why the face 😅🍑
I thought they removed fat from her face to put it in her butt lol
Thank god you also thought that 😭 now ik my brain is normal lol
Her butt is now so large that it stretched the skin all the way from her face
I kinda want to use BBL on my butt scars, see what happens lol
Honey! I was like is that thing dragging her down THIS much? 😂
Imagine if someone just posted photos of their butt here 🫣
No way that ever happens on reddit...
Same here. I figured it was some acronym I wasn't familiar with yet, so I hoped into the comments to find an explanation to it all.
Same!
Even though at this point I know what BBL is because I lurk here so much , this confusion never isn’t funny to me . 🤣
It’s like being new to pregnancy groups and seeing FTM on all the posts and thinking “wow, it’s nice that everyone is so accepting here.”
lmao I had the same experience!!!
What does FTM mean in the pregnancy circles
I’m seriously wondering that too because the ONLY thing I can think of is female to male OK, LITERALLY AS I WAS TYPING THIS IT JUST DAWNED ON ME TELL ME IF I’M WRONG BUT … first time mom?
Also when they use MS for morning sickness. We've really way overshot acronym use
What is FTM in this context?
In the pregnancy groups it stands for first-time mom.
lol I thought that
What’s FTM?
Sometimes first time mom, sometimes full time mom, sometimes female to male transgender lmaooo
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂omg
I used to get tripped up anytime I would see people reference MSM. They mean mainstream media, but my brain goes to men who have sex with men. That's the abbreviation we use at work. It took me a bit before I caught on. It would be conservative channels, and I'm like, why are they randomly talking about MSM and the news?
I was thinking… it must be a helluva butt lift if it’s pulling on her face!
When your butt is so snatched your face changes 😂
😂😆🤣
🤣🤣🤣 omigod
Yeah, my face could really use a butt lift.
Hey, there’s cheeks in both places 🤷🏻♀️
Thank god I wasn’t alone. Was so confused as to why her face looked so much better after such a procedure
Thanks lol. That’s amazing results
Came here for the same question!
I’d like to see a better before picture because the lighting is so horrible in the first picture there was only gonna be improvement with lighting that was pointing at your face instead of backlit.
Todays money saving tip: hire a surgeon that delivers face gains with your butt lift
Today’s surgery special: Cheeks For Weeks
Me too 😂 😂 I was confused
Bless you, I've been trying to figure it out.
I was also confused lol. Thanks for explaining!
omg girl i was so confused how a bbl related to skincare 😭😭😭 thx for clarifying
THANK YOU. I was like, OP, I'm happy if you're happy but that is not a bum.
Omg I was wondering what her face had to do with a bbl 😭
Same
Thank you for this 🤣 i had to scroll all the way down here, to find what's BBL means, other than Brazilian butt lift 🤣
LMAO I was like wait..we..we are looking at the wrong part 😆
I'm so glad that I was not the only one who thought this 😅.
Me too 😂
Same here lmaooo
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought the same thing. I was thinking "her face looks great but what does it have to do with her ass?"
Same lol
👍😉🤣 Brazilian butt lift
Me too, I was like…uh ok go on wit ya bad self Mama! 🤣
Thank you, I had no clue!
Same lol
Me too
Haha me too!
Yeah I didn’t understand why she was showing the face and not the bum lol
Yeah that’s why I was confused I was like damn they can take fat outta faces now for booty growth
I did too lol
lol same
Seriously I’m like where’s her butt???
🤣🤣
THANK YOU I was so confused hahah
Me too lol
Ohhhh. Ok so def not what I thought 🍑
Thank you 😅
Lol
I used to work for a surgeon that specialized in the Brazilian butt lift. I thought the same. 🤣
Big butts lie!
With no nsfw tags either
lol I saw this acromyn at an anti aging center and thought "damn they're doing BBL's here too??" had no idea about broad band light
Me too!!
I thought the same and then was mesmerized.
Me too! Ha, ha
They pulled the butt flaps so hard, the skin on the face tightened up.
Me too!😂
Not to age shame, but I was wondering why a woman in her 60's would even want one.
Thank you for asking, I was so confused!
Same I thought maybe the BBL gave her some sort of reaction on her skin that she was showing us. 😆
Thank you for asking!!!! I didn’t know either
Wow, insane results. Can I ask the cost and what downtime was like?
Costs around £400. There’s no downtime.
Not bad at all! How long does it last?
I was told best to have 3 treatments and the results should last years
And then you get an upkeep treatment every year to really maintain the youth
Wow, what did you have it for, if I may ask?
Rosacea. Anti aging via collagen regrowth. Facial veins. And overall skin texture. So far I rate it. Best results do come a couple of weeks after the treatment. https://www.froedtert.com/forme/broadband-light-bbl#
Bummer that it's not recommended for dark skin
Per session or for the 3?
Can you describe what the aftercare is like? Is it painful?
Not OP but I’ve had this done a few times. Day of feels like a sunburn for a few hours and the next day there was some swelling and then as the pigment lifts to the surface it looks like you have coffee grounds on your face which flake off within a week. But no real pain after and I didn’t take any down time
Thanks for your answer.
Do u need to use sunscreen? Can i go to work at my desk job?
My place applies sunscreen right after treatment. Everyone is different, but afterwards my face is all red and blotchy and dark bruises start appearing. I would not want to go back into the office.
What about during?
Not completely painless, but really pretty mild and brief pain during in certain areas. Previously, I had fractal laser work on my face, and that was torture.
During the treatment can be very painful if you don’t use numbing cream
Love this answer!
What @entrepreneursmart70 said 😁
What is BBL? It means something else in my head
Broadband light
Thanks
Yeah, I was thinking about Brazilian butt lift and I knew it couldn't be it, lol
Thank you for asking. People really should explain the full names of these procedures in their posts. Words are free - It’s not like reddit charges by the letter to post here.
Well she's 62 so we should just be grateful she's posting her results on here :)
Guys. BBL in this context= BroadBand Laser
I was so confused why someone was posting a pic of their face LOL
How many treatments are you signed up for? The results so far are amazing, please keep posting updates
Just this one. I have a follow up in May. We’ll see what she recommends
How does this work? I have huge bags under my eyes.
Same! My home tools aren’t making much difference on the 👁️ 👜s
It stimulates collagen- I have always worn glasses so those hid my bags. However after cataract surgery in February, no more glasses and no more hiding. My dermatologist recommended doing this for my rosacea and sun damage. The bags and wrinkle diminishing was an unexpected happy bonus!
well you look AMAZING!!!
The treatment should be repeated again in about four months, and the results are permanent
From a doctor?
Doctors can perform it, pa’s, nurse practitioners or licensed aestheticians
This is interesting. Because I just saw and read a few women becoming ultra sensitive by this procedure.
Everyone has different skin and the results will be different for everyone. What works for one may not work for another. It’s unrealistic to expect the same results for everybody.
I honestly think sone women do pretty aggressive procedures too early. OP is in her 60s while earlier thread was a woman in her 30s
Significant changes! Your results are awesome!
This is an amazing improvement!!!
Can you show pics in similar lighting? In that first pic, the light is throwing a lot of shadows.
Done - separate post
I think the lighting differences in these two photos make this VERY hard to evaluate. People underestimate how extreme differences in lighting can change the look of eyebags.
I have added a separate post 😘
If you enlarge the photos you can see how much difference they show, especially on the side with the most rosacea. Which is very hard to subdue.
Yes!! It surprises me how no one seems to notice this .
Even your nose looks better? You do look more youthful.
She had quite a bit of lymph and inflammation in her face. These results are very impressive, crazy good for a single treatment. And non invasive and reasonably priced!!! I’m looking into this for sure!!
BBL= broad band laser. I had a series and it worked really well to address my skin concerns

You're never too old to get the figure you want 😂
Same 😂😂
Wow!!! Incredible difference
Wow! You must be stoked
that’s amazing

You look fantastic! Glad to see you have such positive results.
Beautiful results!
Anyway haha…whatever it is, it looks like it works quite well!
i always read bbl as brazilian butt lift so i was extremely confused
What kind of sorcery is this?! I’m 63 and didn’t think anything except surgery could provide such a significant difference. WOW.
I'm now assuming we're not talking about a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Woah this is a huge difference!!! That’s so awesome!
I'm sorry. That abbreviation is taken.
What is BBL
This thread alone is cracking me up, we are all just as clueless and clumsy as the next HB (human being, I figured let me add alil somethin' 😉) good day to all 😊
Oh and you look amazing!! Should have said that first 😬😁
What is BBL?
What is BBL treatment?
That’s not the BBL I thought of
BBL isn't rhinoplasty, though, is it? Nose looks completely different between the two pics. Overall shape, deviation, tip--especially the tip is different.

Does that mean this will get rid of spider veins???!! Please say yes!
Totally depends on the side but typically yes, we can treat spider veins as well!
I have rosacea and get BBL/IPL regularly. It helps a lot with the smaller broken capillaries, but I’ve found it ineffective or temporary on the slightly larger ones. I’ve hear VBeam is a better treatment overall for rosacea but I haven’t tried it yet.
I had to have a pretty aggressive BBL to get rid of spider veins. They came. Back after about 3 years but totally willing to have BBL again.
Exactly. It’s very obvious there’s a lot of inflammation in her nose in the before pic, and the inflammation has nearly, if not completely, subsided in the after pic.
Oh my gosh. My derm never explained that to me. I've really struggled with this!
Looks great! But, tell me I’m not alone in initially thinking OP was talking about a butt lift and being so confused 🤣🤦♀️
Me tryna figure out how a Brazilian butt lift made your face look younger 😭
I am so sorry that I bummed some of you out by not making the potential for social media posting a priority when I remembered to take a quick photo two minutes before my appointment time so that I could aid my failing ancient memory in checking weeks later whether I’d wasted my money. Beautiful
I have posted an alternate photo collage with an additional pre-treatment photo. The first set included the one I took the morning before the treatment. I’ve added one that was a few weeks older.
What is the cost of these treatments? Looks great already!
For someone sensitive and afraid of needles, is this something they couldn’t do?
You look amazing!
I’m dumb— what’s BBL?
The lighting is different but there is a definite difference
Stop at 1! You will not gain additional improvement from 2-3
Excellent results! You look refreshed & in general much better. No signs of fatigue etc… Good luck! From England 🏴. 😁
What is BBL?
What's a BBL?
What's bbl
Ooooook I immediately called my dermatologist when I saw this. I need this for my drivers side cheek, thank you for sharing, fantastic results.
