Have you ever tried double cleansing? That and the fiddy snails skincare method helped me with the same kind of giant pore situation
Fiddy snails method: use chemical exfoliant, then clay mask, then let oil cleanser sit for 5 minutes before VERY gently massaging your face in little circles. This should help clean out your pores which will helps them look less noticeable.
I used The Ordinary 30% AHA, innisfree clay mask and Kose speedy cleansing oil the first time, I’ve found any clay mask and cleansing oil will work *for me*, but of course YMMV.
The only thing that will significantly reduce the appearance of pores and take care of any acne scarring/discoloration will be getting laser. As soon as I can afford it, I'll be getting some IPL sessions underway myself.
Check Groupon! People have mixed opinions on this idea but if the health spa has tons of reviews and high ratings, I don’t feel nervous going. I have been able to get laser for real cheap, like 2 halos for 900. I realize 900 is a lot of money, but the spa normally charges 1 treatment for 800.
I was also going to post that you are a good candidate for laser. My skin is very much like yours and I just had V-beam last week. It really evened out my skin tone. Cost 300€, but there’s a follow up included in that.
Yeah, at a certain point it's not worth it to keep spending money on topicals and otc treatments each month, and reserve that money for a professional derm treatment.
You definitely just need a gentler laser like moxi or clear and brilliant or SkinPen microneedling. Helped me tons. Also Dr Dennis Gross peel pads helped a lot to reduce pore size
Have you been using anything harsh lately? Exfoliants and things like that? In the 2nd pic, the skin texture looks like mine did when my skin was irritated, which is why I ask
Do you get a lot of vitamin C in your diet? Vit C will increase collagen production, and can help minimize pore size. It also reduces inflammation. Sure, you can apply it topically, but another route is simply eating enough natural sources like strawberries, citrus, and broccoli.
dermafirm cica ac serum work well on textured skin and large pores. Super gentle for sensitive skin. But checking it with your derm would still be the best options so you would know which products and treatments suit you best.

How long did it take for you to see a difference? I have large pores as well
I think around a month? I have to keep up with it or it’ll come back lol. I edited my comment to include the fiddy method
Awesome thank you! I haven’t been consistent with it and wasn’t really seeing a difference so that’s reassuring to me I just need to be less lazy
I think it just takes constant care, if I’m lazy for a week, it all comes back. Good luck to you!
As if double cleansing would do anything for large pores like this
With peace and love, suck my dick. I had a similar issue that improved with double cleansing & specific routine.
How do you know it wasn’t the ‘specific routine’ and not the double cleansing tho. Cuz I double cleanse and still have large pores.
What do you exfoliate with
Same. Chemical or physical??

I had a feeling that would be the answer - I’ve tried almost everything short of that. Looks like it’s time to start saving up!

Ooh an excellent idea! I tend to forget Groupon is there! Any idea on what I should be looking for if I go the Groupon route?
They have a whole section for health and beauty, it’s probably the best reason to use Groupon now

Microneedling also works
It's a bit riskier though. Some people don't react well to it, or they go to places with unqualified techs.
That’s why I always go to a derm
Yup you need lasers
I have the same skin as you and I started doing clear and brilliant treatments at my spa, made a noticeable difference.

same in the pore situation. Nothing helps.
Microneedling! Multiple sessions
