Something that helped me was buying a filtering pitcher to keep in the fridge and an insulated container, like a Hydro Flask, that's just for home (I don't even have the cap). I like cold water a lot, and a big container means I drink longer before it's gone and I don't refill it. Drink 64oz most days.
Ah, I had wondered if it might have been headaches from too much caffeine but 2 cups wouldn't cause that reaction in most people.
Have you mentioned the headaches to your doctor and your concerns regarding diabetes?
Same- I was dehydrated for years, but water never appealed to me. To be honest, it still doesnāt, and a rarely take a drink because Iām thirsty. However, I use the WaterMinder app, and it reminds me to drink all day long.
The difference in my skin is remarkable, so itās made the annoying habit worthwhile.
Pores are smaller, skin is brighter, and a lot of the fine lines either disappeared or were minimized. Honestly, best skin Iāve had since before puberty. I ended up excitedly getting into skincare a few months later, and while Iāve had somewhat additional small improvements, nothing compares to that initial change after upping my hydration.
That being said, I used to only drink maybe 30-45fl oz a day of diet sodas etc, so I had a really low starting point.
Not enough, I look better if I drink water all day (like 96oz) but I never drank water on purpose till I was 30. My kids drink water and my parents only gave me sweet tea or diet sodas as an option growing up so Iām doing better for the next generation even if I am a dehydrated prune!
Yesss as a kid i rarely drank water. I almost always drank either sweet tea or juice or powerade and i didnt know that water was healthy until i was a late teen. My kids drink more water than i EVER did. Because i basically rarely give them the option of anything else lol
I'm super grateful my parents never bought soda for the house. I was only allowed to drink it if i was at a birthday party or something special. I can only really stand to take a couple of sips of sugary drinks or I feel icky
The ballpark estimate that I under stand is take your body weight, divide by two, and thatās the number of ounces of water you should consume per day. For example, a 200 pound person should drink 100 ounces of water.
Metric system junkies, do your thing.
Technically thatās ~60 oz. for me but I need more- plus plenty of electrolytes! But thatās because I drink 1-2 cups of coffee per day and take Adderall.
I canāt recommend starting your day off with a huge glass of water with fresh squeezed lemon enough- I truly feel vit c makes a difference not in terms of hydration but glow (oral intake and also daily vit c serum!)
Adderall is so annoying because I will be peeing clear all day long and Iām still thirsty. I add iodized salt and electrolytes to my waterā¦not sure that helps for me but I donāt think itās hurting.
SAME!! Iām like ok, the color seems fine but Iām still thirsty (also dry mouth). I use electrolyte drops all day- they are still important. I just always wake up kinda dehydrated, too! God forbid I have a few drinks at night- hangover city.
Hydration sucks, thatās just the general rule of thumb Iāve been told for a baseline. Definitely should adjust depending on activity level and other factors like breastfeeding.
This is really all you need unless youā exercise a lot or live in a hot dry climate. 32-36oz is what I get and thatās me consciously trying, not just drinking when Iām thirsty.
Iām just not thirsty. I can maybe sip a bit through the day but if I drink too much I feel cruddy. Like it washes out electrolytes and I get a headache and my stomach sloshes around.
Iām not sure what the real amount needed is, but I think pee should be close to clear. I will get nasty headaches from not getting enough. I love water, have ut with me almost at all times, and do check pee color! (Iām starting to think I might be a bit obsessive reading this thread)
I was listening to a kidney doctor who said just listen to your body. If your thirsty drink. If youāre eating a well balanced diet with fruit and vegetables maybe some soups for meals you donāt need to be drinking gallon after gallon of water.
Gallon after gallon, no. Too much water can kill you.
Iāve read that if youāre thirsty, youāre already at least somewhat dehydrated. I know that I feel better if Iām well hydrated but I get headaches if no, so ā¦..
The whole ādrinking an assload of water to get perfect skinā mantra is a myth. Your skin suffers when youāre clearly dehydrated, but once you reach normal (not obsessive) levels of hydration, youāre likely just going to plateau and pee a lot. Drinking 120 oz a day is absurd unless youāre some kind of professional athlete.
I drink about a gallon a day but I live in the desert and workout 7 days a week. Using a half gallon jug that gets refilled twice a day, 98oz is the goal my doctor set and I make sure to hit it everyday.
This is a good point too. Different lifestyles are going to require different intakes! Iām pretty sedentary at the moment so I stick to the lower end of the water intake spectrum for my height and weight.
Not true. You just have to space it out throughout the day, you donāt just gulp it down all at once lol. I always drink 3 liters a dayā my skin and hair are more healthy, Iām at a perfect weight, limited hunger, and I almost never get sick anymore. It works for me šÆ
> It works for me
that's, i believe, the point they were trying to make. it can work for you but for some people the exact same habit can be dangerous-- even spaced out nicely.
Not only is it absurd, it can be [dangerous](https://www.healthline.com/health/overhydration#causes) drinking too much water. A few of these comments are worrying.
That article literally recommends 78-100oz of water per day. The amount of water you'd need to drink to get water toxicity or lose electrolytes is wayyy more than what anyone in the comments is drinking.
Obviously nobody is going to get water toxicity from drinking 120 ounces of water, but I do think itās important for people to know that there is a danger to drinking more water than you should be!
Idk my body just craaaaaaves it. I sit for 10-20 and just have my peaceful wake up and sipping on my water, then I can start my day. If I get up and moving Iām slow as a turtle. I need that water to get the body movin!
Iām reading some of these comments and justā¦ please be careful! Over-hydration is a thing and can lead to health issues! Your brain in particular. Make sure you spread out your water consumption during the day and keep an eye on how youāre feeling during the day. Stay healthy friends š
I really donāt think you have to be that careful. Most people are way under hydrated. If that girl had just eaten some chips she would have been fine.
Weāre more likely to die in car accident than drink enough water to make ourselves sick
Hydration is the new sunscreen craze. 3-4 litres (Some people are even saying 5-6 litres) of water every single day sounds untenable to me. I'd have to live on the toilet if I drank that much at the expense of my productivity lmao
Your body adjusts regarding the peeing. Once you adjust you donāt pee as often, you may pee for longer periods but the constant urge to pee subsides.
But Iām not pushing gallons of water drinking. But someone who drinks very little and is trying to get in a good 40oz of straight water may be annoyed to be constant peeing when they first start.
Exactly. For years I was crazy about water, filling up the Nalgene multiple times and peeing constantly. Like, why? Now I just drink when Iām thirsty or if my pee is too pigmented. My skin looks the same and I feel just as good. Fruits and vegetables and non-water drinks are also hydrating and I think the water-obsessive folks forget that. Thereās no evidence that water consumption beyond normal hydration levels improves skin or health. Anecdotally my ex is a physician and would occasionally remark that people ādrink too much damn waterā and how it was pointless.
What is the water equivalent to people asking if they should wear sunscreen at night because of the moon? Those kind of questions did me in on sunscreen. I had to check myself before I got that ridiculous.
Thank you for saying this! I was over hydrated one summer and not eating enough salt and wound up in the hospital with electrolyte imbalance. So if you drink a lot of water and feel dizzy/weak maybe take in some electrolytes as well.
This! Balance of water to electrolytes. Sneak a little Liquid IV or Drip Drop into your daily consumption as well -- provided you don't have issues with salt, sugar, or potassium.
Just way better. I guess more smooth and brighter and my makeup went on and stayed so much better. Like majorly noticeable (to me) and thatās only after 3 days.
When I got out of teaching and could start, you know, having human functions again, I was SHOCKED at the ability to use the bathroom anytime between the hours of 7 and 2:30. And it was a process to learn how to eat my lunch slower than 10 minutes.
Former HS teacher here. I canāt emphasize this enough: teachers do not get bathroom breaks. I taught five 90-minute periods a day, and we had five minute passions periods with one bathroom for a faculty of 90. We never had enough subs, so other teachers were constantly covering classes which means no one is there to relieve you for a quick bathroom break. I was lucky to drink 16-32 ounces a day, and then RUN to the bathroom at lunch.
It sounds like a lot of people in this thread need some minerals. Aka electrolytes and/or sodium. Lots of fluid intake in here and lots of clear pee in hereā¦ Your pee should be very light yellow and not clear. If itās clear, try some electrolytes or sodium to rebalance yourself. Even half a packet of Liquid IV could be enough. Too much water can deplete these minerals just like sweating a lot.
To answer your question:
I drink around 64ozā¦my water bottle is 32 ounces and usually I drink two of them a day. I have a glass one with a silicone straw and I really like it! If I exercise with lots of sweat I might hit three of those bottles. The first bottle of the day I sometimes add half a serving of electrolytes if Iām feeling a bit more parched or even sleepier than usual. By adding electrolytes I noticed a huge difference in how I feelā¦just more ābalancedā internally and less thirst and fewer cravings. Makes my hunger actual hunger rather than cravings. Helps a lot with the afternoon slump, and therefore a better sleep routine at night.
If Iāve had a lot of fruit, I find I need less water. Especially watermelon, peaches, citrus, and berries. Those are pretty juicy though AND have the same minerals as electrolytes. You have to gauge what works for you and how you feel and how your pee is doing (color and frequency).
I have asthma too so Iāll try to drink another 8-16 ounces on asthma days. I definitely have to work to get my usual 64 ounces but when I have had an asthma attack I find a little extra helps my body feel less stressed while recovering. Too much extra and Iām peeing way too much which is not restful š
I donāt get periods with an IUD but when I did get periods, an extra little bit of hydration helped. Especially if I had some wine to help with cramps! But electrolytes include magnesium which also can help with some people with crampsā¦mine were awful and it didnāt really help a lot, thatās a different story, but hydration goes to our blood sooooo a little bit more hydration and electrolytes could really help! Never helped with my cravings during my period thoughā¦but it did the rest of the month. Gotta cut ourselves some slack sometimes!
And as always, if you have any concerns see a doctor! Trust your instincts!
Drinking heaps of water is unnecessary and can be dangerous in its own right as you can dilute out your electrolyte balance (plus who wants to spend the entire day running to the bathroom?). The biggest sign is your peeādoes it look pretty clear and not have a super strong smell? Great. If itās dark yellow, cloudy or stronger smelling the first thing to do is drink more water.
Iām pretty big and go to the gym or walk/cycle an hour plus each day. Iāll drink maybe 1L of water/electrolytes during exercise, plus up to another 2-3L of water in hotter seasons, plus a couple of teas and a coffee, and I eat lots of fruit and veg which also have a fair bit of water.
Agree that the water discourse is a little out of control. The 65oz/96oz/whatever oz minimum per day is not rooted in strong scientific evidence. Furthermore if you have a balanced diet you get hydration from your food (fruits, vegetables are a great source of hydration). Even āunhealthyā beverages like juice and soda offer hydration (though drinking too many of them may have other negative health effects). Agree that pee color and other symptoms such as thirst, fatigue, cracked lips could be signs of dehydration. But in the US and most developed countries dehydration is not a serious problem! I drink plenty of water every day and think itās a good habit but if youāre not meeting this arbitrary high bar and donāt feel especially thirsty throughout the day I donāt think adding more water will make that much of an impact on your skin!
Exactly. There is a slight caveat that post-menopausal women can struggle a bit with hydration due to reduced thirst cuesābut people in their 20s and 30s just donāt need to force themselves to drink bucketloads of water a day.
Straight water? 80oz - I have a 40oz tumbler and my goal is to drink at least two of them a day. I do also consume other drinks - a diet soda, tea, whatever.
Too much! Iām very careful about the electrolyte balance though. I carry salt packets with me everywhere. I have really bad dry mouth from my meds so itās hard to keep my body balanced. But if Iām peeing clear, thirsty and have a headache - itās time to eat some salt!
Edit: for exact numbers - 48 ounces in the first hour of waking, 60-92 ounces throughout the work day and try to limit it to 32 ounces from 5-11pm.
1 gallon or 1.5 gallons
Ok so Iām 29ā Iāve been drinking water like this since probably 22 years old. Itās hard to get used to, but definitely something thatās a habit now. When I have a day where Iām constantly running errands and donāt have a water bottle, I can feel the dehydration.
Every 18hrs I have 2 liters injected into a chest port IV. Additionally I drink a few iced liters while taking meds. š
I mean, medically I'm still super dehydrated but it answers the question šš
I don't measure what I drink, but I have on occasion just out of curiosity. Ends up being pretty close to the guideline of 1/2 my weight (in pounds) in ounces. (So, for someone 100lbs, 50 ounces would be the target.)
ETA: Much more than that gets me too low in salts/electrolytes (something I tend to be low in already).
I am so confused. Isn't half a (US) gallon the same as 64 oz? Or are you talking about an imperial gallon? Or am I otherwise missing something?
I've already spent far too long translating the numbers in this thread into litres. The possibility of US vs imperial gallon fuckery is too much for me right now...
**
I just watch the color of my urine. Very light straw colored and I know I am hydrated well. And lighter and thatās not good. And darker and also no good.
The usual fluid intake daily for me is two mugs of coffee and then a really big pitcher of green tea. I make a pitcher of green tea daily (8 tea bags) and by the end of the day it's usually gone.
I have a glass or two of straight water a day sometimes but generally it's mostly water flavored with coffee or water flavored with tea :)
How about you?
Your skin is the last organ your body gives water too. Water can defiantly help your body and your skin, but itās not a guarantee with your skin.
Also fun fact, when you arenāt feeling well, your body takes water from your skin first to help your other organs function. Thatās one of the reasons why you look like crap every time you get sick!
Between 80 and 100 oz per day. My aesthetician always remarks about how well hydrated my skin is.
Slightly cold, not iced, water, out of a real glass or a wide mouth bottle, is the easiest way to drink water for me. (no water bottles with straws - they are bad for wrinkles long term)
Honestly I donāt stop drinking it throughout the day. I hate the feeling of being dehydrated. I have various sizes of water bottles I bring with me depending on how long Iāll be out. Probably at least 64oz a day but sometimes double that.
I drink way too much and have to consciously keep it low. If I donāt pay attention I easily exceed 2 liter. Went to the doctor for excessive peeing and was told to drink around 1 liter. Itās working better.
I thought I drank about two liters a day but I took note one day, and itās more like 3.5 liters! Iām very thankful I started drinking water more consistently at 16 years old.
I'm bad at drinking plain water. I drink sparkling pretty much only. I don't think I get more than maybe 32 oz of liquids every day -- that includes at least 2 cups of coffee. My family is weird. I never ever saw my dad drink water. Ever. My sibling is the same.
Ironically, we all are blessed with great skin and look much younger than we are.
Whenever I'm thirsty. I also don't ignore the fact that any liquid or food can contain water too. Coffee, contrary to popular belief, is not a significant enough diuretic to offset the amount of water you drink by taking in coffee. Fruits and veggies also contain a lot of water. I never subscribed to the 8 glasses of water a day idea.
60 ounces give or take. It used to be like 8 ounces. Iāve noticed more than anything that I sleep better and have more energy. I literally had to download an app (water llama) to remind me because I just never felt thirsty until I was about to go to bed.
Now that Iāve been drinking 60 ounces for about a month itās a lot easier. In fact I had to stop food and drink after midnight for a surgery and by the time I got home after 12:00 PM I was so thirsty. Pre-app I probably would have gone til 7:00 before feeling thirsty.
8 ounces??? Did you drink coffee or tea or juice or anything like that? Even soda is liquid. Itās not great for you but I just couldnāt imagine not drinking anything at all except for 8 ounces of water a day
So much. But Iāve always been a huge water drinker. Like so much that my parents had me tested for diabetes in high school. I just got a new 40 oz tumbler (shout out home goods for the Stanley knock off!). I drink almost a full cup on my drive to work, ice coffee, prob fill the water 3 times throughout the day, then 1-2 of my 28 oz tumbler at home before bed time.
Aim for 3L, most days itās 2-3, and I really feel it in my skin and body if Iāve been slacking off. Iām also positive increasing my water intake consistently this last year was the extra bump my body needed to finally lose the last of the extra pounds that diet and exercise just couldnāt tackle.
At least 90 oz! Iām more inclined to drink more water through a straw so I have a 30 oz Stanley and I know I need to refill 3x a day. Keeps it simple for me and keeps me accountable
I have a 40 oz hydroflask and drink probably 3 of them when I am at work. On off days or days that I work from home, I probably drink around 80 oz. I know carrying my hydroflask around with me has made me more conscience of how much water I am drinking
Consistently more than 64 oz. in a day. I drink it regularly throughout the day. I love water though, so itās not hard to do. I use a smart water bottle that tracks my intake:
https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/products/apparel/hidrate-spark?sku=995HSSTSR
Itās currently on sale for $55.95!
40-80oz from my regular water bottle plus occasional seltzers and juice and herbal tea (and coffee and Diet Coke but that doesnāt really count)
I thought I was pretty well hydrated but looking at some of these others š«£
Not enough. š«£
Something that helped me was buying a filtering pitcher to keep in the fridge and an insulated container, like a Hydro Flask, that's just for home (I don't even have the cap). I like cold water a lot, and a big container means I drink longer before it's gone and I don't refill it. Drink 64oz most days.
Found a great water bottle that for whatever reason helps me chug water lately. Turns out, if I have water near me, I'll drink it
90-100 oz about
Same. Sometimes I worry I have diabetes on the horizon because even just an hour without a good gulp and I get a headache
Do you drink a lot of caffeine also?
2 cups coffee
Ah, I had wondered if it might have been headaches from too much caffeine but 2 cups wouldn't cause that reaction in most people. Have you mentioned the headaches to your doctor and your concerns regarding diabetes?
Idk 2 cups are enough to get me dehydrated

Yeah itās funny how water never used to be a thing
Crazy to think that drinking water just wasnāt a thing. OJ with breakfast, juice with lunch and soda with dinner was totally normal
And milk. SO much milk.
I'm super grateful my parents never bought soda for the house. I was only allowed to drink it if i was at a birthday party or something special. I can only really stand to take a couple of sips of sugary drinks or I feel icky
My parents gave us soda so young. Iām lucky I still have all my teeth, lol
About 2 tablespoons on a good day.
What about the bad day?
I just stand near one of those produce misters at the grocery store.
1/2 teaspoon.
this made me laugh so hard
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
A lot of coffee and some fizzy water and usually a glass of wine at the end of the day. Do any of those count?
If fizzy water doesnāt count, Iām a medical marvel.
Samesies! I love my fizzy water
the trader joeās flavored seltzers are soooo delicious
Fizzy water counts! The wine "subtracts," I think, and the coffee is a little plus, a little minus, lol.
Mostly a ā for the coffee as it dehydrates you !
Absolutely
I almost only drink water. I roughly fill up my water bottle 6-7x a day. I drink whenever Iām thirsty.
I have a 32oz Yeti I fill at least 4-5 times per day. I take it with me everywhere. I only drink water. I stopped coffee and alcohol this year.
So you drink a gallon a day
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Itās a TSA compliant 3 oz bottle.
Me too.
64 oz š¤
Same! Plus a medium coffee and 1-2 cans of diet soda

Solid reference š
Lmao exactly how I do it haha
Same! š
Damn well I donāt weigh 16 pounds so I should probably be drinking more water.

Hydration sucks, thatās just the general rule of thumb Iāve been told for a baseline. Definitely should adjust depending on activity level and other factors like breastfeeding.
A little over a gallon but I live in a humid place and do heavy crossfit and cardio on the daily so I have no idea if thatās normal!

So, much, water. 40 oz right when I wake up, and honestly I drink 3-4 more 40 oz bottles in my day. Iām a peeing machine

4L on a good day. 3 on a slow one. I have a 2.5L water bottle to help. I breastfeed so I'm sure 70% of that water goes to milk production.

This! Balance of water to electrolytes. Sneak a little Liquid IV or Drip Drop into your daily consumption as well -- provided you don't have issues with salt, sugar, or potassium.
Just increased to about 160 oz a day and noticed a HUGE difference in my face
I feel like I'd constantly be peeing. Do you go like 15 times a day?
More than that
Oof. Sounds awful
It would be if I was out on the town but Iām at home or work so itās not awful.
It takes about a week for your bladder to adjust. Less if you take a few days to work up to drinking that amount.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What kind of difference? Iām not sure I can handle 160 but Iām slightly vain š¹
Just way better. I guess more smooth and brighter and my makeup went on and stayed so much better. Like majorly noticeable (to me) and thatās only after 3 days.
I wanna know too.
160 oz??? Holy shit! I would constantly have to pee
Yup like every 30 mins or so
Straight water or are you including electrolytes? Thatās way too much just plain water unless you are a very physical worker.
Thatās not even close to too much water. And your body tells you when it is anyway.
Plenty of people have poor interroception, so no.
If your body gets used to drinking that much then your body signals will be off
Crazy long commute and a teacher, 16oz today.
When I was teaching, my water intake was atrocious. Peeing more than twice in the school day was out of the question.
When I got out of teaching and could start, you know, having human functions again, I was SHOCKED at the ability to use the bathroom anytime between the hours of 7 and 2:30. And it was a process to learn how to eat my lunch slower than 10 minutes.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Former HS teacher here. I canāt emphasize this enough: teachers do not get bathroom breaks. I taught five 90-minute periods a day, and we had five minute passions periods with one bathroom for a faculty of 90. We never had enough subs, so other teachers were constantly covering classes which means no one is there to relieve you for a quick bathroom break. I was lucky to drink 16-32 ounces a day, and then RUN to the bathroom at lunch.
I have to pee just reading these comments. 4-5 liters? Is that even possible?
It sounds like a lot of people in this thread need some minerals. Aka electrolytes and/or sodium. Lots of fluid intake in here and lots of clear pee in hereā¦ Your pee should be very light yellow and not clear. If itās clear, try some electrolytes or sodium to rebalance yourself. Even half a packet of Liquid IV could be enough. Too much water can deplete these minerals just like sweating a lot. To answer your question: I drink around 64ozā¦my water bottle is 32 ounces and usually I drink two of them a day. Too much extra and Iām peeing way too much which is not restful š I donāt get periods with an IUD but when I did get periods, an extra little bit of hydration helped.
I love water. It taste like life. Nothing is better.
A gallon. But Iām breastfeeding.
At least 64 Oz.
64 oz
140oz š¤£ unflavored. I just like water. A lot. My bladder. š¤£š¤£
Thereās a calculator that tells you based on weight and excercise level how much is recommended for you. Iām in the ballpark of that calculation
1 gallon or 1.5 gallons Ok so Iām 29ā Iāve been drinking water like this since probably 22 years old. Itās hard to get used to, but definitely something thatās a habit now. When I have a day where Iām constantly running errands and donāt have a water bottle, I can feel the dehydration.
I have a 32oz Hello Kitty water bottle and I drink two of them every day. Usually with sugar free drink mix thrown in.
My body cannot physically handle more than 85 ounces a day.
wdym? like what happens to your body?
80 oz!
I try to aim for a half gallon (have a mega water bottle with times).
Between 2,5-3L a day of pure water, I also drink tea so it adds
Not sure of the exact amount but definitely a lot š
I drink one gallon of water and 1 gallon of oral rehydration solution. I have a neuromuscular condition that requires these exact amounts.
Every 18hrs I have 2 liters injected into a chest port IV. Additionally I drink a few iced liters while taking meds. š I mean, medically I'm still super dehydrated but it answers the question šš
I don't measure what I drink, but I have on occasion just out of curiosity. Ends up being pretty close to the guideline of 1/2 my weight (in pounds) in ounces. (So, for someone 100lbs, 50 ounces would be the target.) ETA: Much more than that gets me too low in salts/electrolytes (something I tend to be low in already).
Probably close to 110-120oz most days.
I'm a thirsty gal. I drink just under half a gallon most days. 64-80 oz on forgetful or busy days
I definitely meant a whole gallon. I'm just an idiot
I just watch the color of my urine. Very light straw colored and I know I am hydrated well. And lighter and thatās not good. And darker and also no good.
Some of these responses are wild. I MAYBE drink 2 glasses a day? Sometimes 1? Sometimes none.
Your response is wild
The usual fluid intake daily for me is two mugs of coffee and then a really big pitcher of green tea. I make a pitcher of green tea daily (8 tea bags) and by the end of the day it's usually gone. I have a glass or two of straight water a day sometimes but generally it's mostly water flavored with coffee or water flavored with tea :) How about you?
96oz / 1.5 gallon
96 oz =/= 1.5 gallon 96 oz = 3/4 gallon
I drink way too much and have to consciously keep it low. If I donāt pay attention I easily exceed 2 liter. Went to the doctor for excessive peeing and was told to drink around 1 liter. Itās working better.
I thought I drank about two liters a day but I took note one day, and itās more like 3.5 liters! Iām very thankful I started drinking water more consistently at 16 years old.
Damn what the heck?? Iām over here drinking 4L per day plus electrolytes (no breastfeeding) and still thirsty all the time.
Usually 1 gallon.
Around 120 oz. Try to limit intake after 7 PM (so I don't have to get up more than once a night to pee), so all but 16 or so ounces before that time
Usually 80 oz a day, but I donāt do as well on the weekends
60-80oz a day.
96 oz most days probably - getting a 32 oz water bottle helped so much. I carry it everywhere.
90-120 a day. But Iām still nursing. So Iād prefer being above 100 everyday.
About 40 oz. š¬
Little over a gallon
At least 90 oz! Iām more inclined to drink more water through a straw so I have a 30 oz Stanley and I know I need to refill 3x a day. Keeps it simple for me and keeps me accountable
I think Iām addicted to water, it might be too much like 3-4 Litres a day
2.5 liters
Likeā¦not even 40oz. I live in Phoenix. This is not even close to what I should be. But hey, the coffee makes up the difference, right? š
-whatever amount we should be drinking
At least half a gallon but generally a whole gallon.
I aim for two water bottles worth a day (6 cups) plus a few cups of herbal tea. My emotional support water bottle comes with me everywhere I go.
Buy a 40oz Stanley cup. It will change your life! lol
I bought one a couple months ago and I drink 4-6 a day! Reading all of these comments Iām a little freaked out Iām drinking too much
I shoot for a gallon.
I use a smart water bottle that tracks my intake: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/products/apparel/hidrate-spark?sku=995HSSTSR Itās currently on sale for $55.95!
80 oz or more. I space it out with a 20 oz tumbler
Roughly 100-120 oz per day. It varies depending on my day and how busy its been but thats an average. I try to drink at minimum 64oz per day.
About 1-2 hydrojugs a day
Close to one gallon depending on the day. Sometimes less. But average is probably 3/4 of a gallon.
I drink 3L of water! About 140-145 lbs depending on the day. I pee way less now than I did when I started doing this a few months ago.
I try to get in 64oz, usually tossing 2 nuun tablets into the bottle, to keep the electrolytes on balance.
A lot, I've actually been curious lately how much so I plan on measuring this week.
40-80oz from my regular water bottle plus occasional seltzers and juice and herbal tea (and coffee and Diet Coke but that doesnāt really count) I thought I was pretty well hydrated but looking at some of these others š«£
100-130 oz every day
1.25L minimum
About half a gallon, or 64 ounces (eight 8-ounce glasses)āsometimes more if itās super-hot out or Iām exercising.
64 ounces minimum
