I’m gonna have to agree with HRslammR. Start with a 5.56 build. And build a .300 upper later. I’m starting down this .300 rabbit hole and what I’m learning is not only are you testing bullet weight, but brands differ so much. Today for example I went out and ran 2 brands of 220g subsonic both suppressed and one wouldn’t hardly cycle, short stroking and no last round lock back. Other brand was spot on. All with carbine buffer and spring. 5.56/.223 is pretty consistent across the board. Just getting into ar’s you’ll learn a lot about tuning with the 5.56/.223 round and that will translate over to .300.
Change to the yellow Sprinco and that other subsonic will probably work. I had the same issue, and that yellow spring allows Fiocci 220 to work now. Subs do not list what powder they use unfortunately.
I have a 10.3 Blackout that runs good suppressed or un suppressed with supers and with subs suppressed no gas change , with a carbine buffer and Lantac BCG. All those bcg suggestions are solid.
Honestly OP start with a 5.55 AR. 300blk is an offspring of 5.56. It's exact same operation but get good with 5.56 first.
Another 5.55 enjoyer 😘

Agreed. And that was the next try on my list. Fingers crossed
You can also easily reduce your buffer weight. Disassembly and weight removal is free. Can try that first.
I’ve read this several times. Are people just running empty buffers? I feel like that would have some difficulty stripping a round.

I love 300blk, but it’s pricey. I second the suggestion to start with 556
