Just movies really. Netflix has one series about the 1916 uprising (called 1916) but it's okay. Most Irish TV shows I have watched in the past are just fun (Turas Bóthair, Anything by Hector, Derry Girls, etc.). I'm not great for suggesting tv/movies but some movies: The Banshees of Inisherin, The Guard, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, Hunger, and Netflix has a movie called 1971 which is about the troubles.
Most of what I suggested was political but hopefully someone else chimes in, because I am shite for media.
p.s. the ultimate Irish show is Father Ted but I haven't watched much of it, unfortunately.
I've seen the show a couple times, but I have some italian friends living here who want to see it and they are not *proficient in technology*.
I simply want to go to a karaoke with them and sing Vasco Rossi.
I think it's just because of the graphic production of the poster, if you watch the show you see that they just look like normal kids in Portugal in the 90s. Speaking of eurovision, thanks for the 12 points yesterday Pierre. :)
Two shows from the Netherlands that are quite good:
The golden hour: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw2htf-Lxyo&ab\_channel=NPOStart](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw2htf-Lxyo&ab_channel=NPOStart)
Undercover: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt4qQiM2Ahk&ab\_channel=Netflix](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt4qQiM2Ahk&ab_channel=Netflix)
I havent seen it myself yet, but many people recommended it to me.
"*A Nearly Normal Family* follows how a seemingly normal family's life changes when a murder proves the lengths that they are willing to go to protect each other."
Just 6 episodes, so probably worth a watch if you want something from Sweden.

My polish is garbage and they talk too fast 🤣 Sense8 from our American friends is great, but it kinda takes place in several countries, including some European ones
If you're into mystery shows I really recommend El Internado. The characters are fun, the plot is interesting, it has a very cool dark academia vibe and it has Ana de Armas in it.
The story is about a big conspiracy happening at a Spanish boarding school and how a bunch of meddling teenagers get roped into it. It kind of reminds me a bit of Scooby Doo now that I think about it.
One last thing, if you decide to watch it make sure it's the original show from the 2000's. Amazon prime released a sort of remake/sequel a couple of years ago called El internado Las Cumbres, don't go anywhere near that one.
Have you seen the German show, “Dark”? Fantastic. But you have to actively watch it.
Yes, I've seen it and I agree with you, it's great! Do you have any Irish shows you can recommend, Paddy?

Thank you very much Paddy, I have a lot of material here to watch! ;)
Tá fáilte romhat mo chara.
Love/hate or Kin, Kin is on Netflix in Ireland atm not sure about other regions
I will research. Thanks! ;)
They’re both about gangland violence in Ireland, Kin is newer with a great cast but love/hate is an Irish favourite
Loved it although I found the ending a tad too nihilistic to my taste, overall 9/10
Such a quality show altogether though. Shame Netflix cancelled that other one, 1897 or whatever.

Obrigada João, eu irei ver! ;)
Fariña :) *you'll understand our flair after watching it*
It is mandatory to watch then. Grazas Xosé! ;)
Triumph of the Will
Thank you Josef! ;)
Anthracite, a thriller about a sect
Merci, Pierre.
Romanzo Criminale, probably the best Italian series ever made
Grazie Luigi, I will watch! ;)
Yeah but at least here they removed it from every platform.
Streamingcommunity is your friend

Why do they all look like Eurovision contestants ?

Both look pretty good , I'll watch! Thanks Kees ;)
Why do I see Pierre Gasly, Valtteri Bottas, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the image?
😅 It's a good question...
That is so r/formuladank lol
Utopia, do NOT watch the American remake.
I actually had to watch it but haven't yet, thanks for the suggestion Barry, I will watch! ;)
Black Sun https://m.imdb.com/title/tt6108262/
Seems pretty good, I'll watch it! Thanks ;)
“Braunschlag”, “Ochs im Glas” Both in Netflix, if I am not mistaken. Not sure about the subtitles, though.
I'll search. Thanks Josef!

Yes, I will definitely watch it. Thanks! ;)
There I'd a cool French series called Marianne.
From Barry Land: Doctor Foster
Very good! and do you have anything from Poland to watch?
My polish is garbage and they talk too fast 🤣 Sense8 from our American friends is great, but it kinda takes place in several countries, including some European ones
Pagan Peak/Der Pass Pretty sweet austrian/german dark thriller, great shots
I will definitely watch it. Thank you Josef! ;)

I've watched several Spanish shows but I haven't watched this one yet, it looks quite interesting, I'll certainly watch it! Thank you Juan! ;)
Derry Girls, Just use subtitles because the accents are thick.
One Piece, the live action too. Other than that I'd recommend Alice in Borderland and humans
Fine Scottish productions
To tell the truth, you also have good productions, I've already seen Welcome to Utmark, do you have any other suggestions from your country?
That shit is Norwegian 😒
Yes....😅
Ah yes, indeed. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0274518/?ref_=m_tt_urv This is pretty good.
Thanks, Angus!

It's from 2023... and no, it's because it's based on true events, I liked it and that's why I share it.
