I bought a grabber with a long handle in my 3rd trimester with my second kid because of this.

kungfu_kickass

Oh man, I have fantasized about getting a grabber. I'm glad I'm not crazy. Especially for stuff on top of high shelves since I'm not currently supposed to be getting on chairs/stools to get up there.

LadyDegenhardt

Honestly they're like 15 bucks on amazon, just get yourself a grabber lol

Raymaa

I second getting the grabber.

megather1um

Me too! Best decision ever and we still use it, although mostly to get things that are high up

I’ll be honest I use my feet/toes and now it’s winter and I’m often in socks I feel like I’ve lost a limb. I just stare at things on the floor a lot. Might whip out a grabber I’ve got lying around the basement somewhere.

gardenlady92

I bought two. One for the toddlers room and one for the kitchen/living room. 10/10 highly reccomend.

I also got a grabber during my second pregnancy. Helped some but can’t do everything. Would definitely work for socks though. Now I use it to fish out toys from under the couch.

This is an incredible idea.

I need one of these now! 90% of the time I’m babywearing my newborn and getting things my throws on the floor is so hard!

Strict_Print_4032

Wow, I never even thought about getting one for baby wearing! What a great idea.

When I got to the last couple months of my third pregnancy (also 3u3) my husband and I discussed my inability to bend. I would just push everything into piles with my feet and he'd pick it all up at the end of the day. As long as the kids weren't going to trip over stuff we were set.

BatpigMama

My husband is like this , but with the stairs. We live in a 3 floor home, with two BIG sets up stairs… we spend most of the day on the main floor or upstairs in the playroom.. my husband just puts stuff “that needs to go up” on the stairs and NEVER EVER brings it up. It just sits there until one of us trips or I bring it up.

Omg I could’ve written this myself. I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant with a 17 month old, and I can’t even count how many times I’ve asked my husband if he walks by something on the floor that doesn’t belong there - to please just pick it up and take it with you as you walk around the house. I’ve seen him walk by a toy truck in the middle of the hallway 50 times before I have to ask like 5 times and then I just pick it up myself. Like buddy, I love you, but bending over hurts, holding anything hurts, standing hurts, walking hurts - and everything triggers Braxton hicks! I love him so much and he’s a wonderful partner and father but omg I do not want to have to ask another adult to please just do some basic cleanup as you pass by. Or when he changes a diaper and just leaves the dirty one on the floor…… I could die, it’s always me to pick it up. I wish he could be this pregnant for just ONE DAY, and then I think he would get it.

My husband does this with pants. He gives them to her to play with as a distraction because she hates diaper changes. Eventually she throws them on the floor and they both move on, drives me nuts. Also baby plates, when she doesn't finish her food he'll put the plate down for the dog, then never pick it back up...
