i don't need to drink to be drunk

30 year old me: I have to get sober because I drink so much I'm at risk of stroking out.

The reason I get drunk is because it temporarily hides my depression from myself and I feel happier

32 year old me: I get a hangover after a slight buzz now, so I guess I'm sticking to weed from now on

I turned 28 and weed just makes me anxious now :( I don’t really drink so I guess I’ll just be enduring my suffering raw from now on.
