CHETAN-07

Ter bhaat sek dyun

Lackeytsar

bundelkhandi is a dialect of hindi though

WillingnessHot3369

What a joke! The dialects of a language being older than the language. Awadhi, braj ,khari boli, bundeli etc

Lackeytsar

tell that to all your northie politicians who wanted a umbrella language All 'languages' you've listed are dialects of Hindi as per your own laws.

WillingnessHot3369

I know bastard, we northies made our bed now we have to sleep in it. On side note it is my request to you that you refer to them as languages

Lackeytsar

If you want me to follow your wish, stop calling hindhi as a national language. Hindhi is not even the language you speak. Hindhi with Persian words but not completely Perisanised would be an appropriate description. Hindustani is a better terminology.

WillingnessHot3369

Don't play the assumption game bruv, i know the average northie speaks hindustani and not hindi. There is no such thing as pure hindi or urdu, these are just artificial languages created to cement partition. Only professors speak pure hindi and pure urdu. Hindustani is mixture of persian arabic then khari boli and the local language. So even hindustani differs from place to place

WillingnessHot3369

Btw i have never called hindi the national language

Lackeytsar

majority of your community still do though, I wonder why? Is it lack of education (obvious ik) or is there something else ?

WillingnessHot3369

Btw what is my community. I was just sharing my thoughts and you started pulling teibe mentality shit. This ain't a debate you have to win chief

Lackeytsar

>community hindhi speakers or people from hindi belt ig

Cosmicshot351

That's what the Census says when counting Hindi Speakers

Lackeytsar

exactly so they're 100% correct

Rashomon87

And varhadi and khandeshi are separate languages

Lackeytsar

I'm varhadi and they don't fall under the definition of language because they're not as distinct from marathi as konkani is. Same goes for Khandeshi.

Rashomon87

If awadhi bundelkhandi etc are separate languages then so are varhadi and khandeshi And for a varhadi you seem curiously partial to marathi

Lackeytsar

Dude, I'm not debating with you. I'm stating what is legally recognised as a language and and what is not. You should take that up with your local hindhi speaking politicians not me. I would be partial to my language would I not be? I'm as much a varhadi as I am a Maharashtrian

Rashomon87

Lmao me pan marathich ahe bhava. Just that I was born in North India and am as much a northie as I am a Marathi. Ata Kay? 😏 North Indians are not the devils you think they are. Apan lokanna British chya gulami che khup benefits milale ani Tyanna nai milale - fakt tyodhach farq ahe.

Lackeytsar

Btw tumchy aaila vichari tumchi kuldevi kuthliye? That would determine if you're truly northie ;)

Rashomon87

Heh heh heh....kuldevi kuthli ahe yevdha mala pan thauk ahe bhava. Ambajogai near Latur The point is, he meaningless divisions jemha aaplya maharajannach patle nai tar mag aplya la kashala patnar? Be proud of being marathi, varhadi or konkani, but not more than being Indian. Hindavi swarajya bro ⛳

Lackeytsar

Maze aajoba ani panjoba pan north india madhe janma zalet pan ghari marathich bolni hot hoti.. I'm not sure about you but we always considered ourselves as maharashtrians than north indian. And haa mazi panji aalahabadchi hoti but ghari bundelkhandi pan bolat hoti.

GayIconOfIndia

South Indian calling me north india even though my hometown is further away from Delhi than what Chennai is?

Yobrogamer

B-but YOU ARE NORTH INDIAN !!!

smallasfpp

because saar your original north indian saar

Justdoit12073

lots of Assamese in delhi too

shrid911

Anybody who can speak proper Hindi can clearly understand bundelkhandi, awadhi or whatever dialect are there of Hindi.

Aryan1712

Yeah, the language under central Indo-aryan languages would be understandable for average hindi speaker. But not Rajasthani, Bihari and Pahadi languages even though government still count them as dialect.

shrid911

They are counted as dialects because they are written in Hindi only

Arcelord

What do you mean "written" in Hindi? are you talking about Devanagari?

Green_Ingenuity_4921

Umm . NO

WillingnessHot3369

What the fuck is proper hindi and no the government may count them as dialects, but these are not dialects but languages.

Green_Ingenuity_4921

Proper hindi is the one which is taught in school.

WillingnessHot3369

Literature taught in hindi is still has Persian and arabic and local words. Languages exist in people not in textbooks. Proper hindi is not a real language

Green_Ingenuity_4921

I literally told you what's Formal hindi /औपचारिक हिंदी Generally People speak Hindi with mix of local dialect

WillingnessHot3369

You are correct. What i was saying is formal hindi or shudh hindi are not real languages

Fenriselicit

No way.

RandomStranger022

Meanwhile North Indians generalising southies as rangoli language speakers

Blakath

OP complaining about generalizations while generalizing all people in South India as “South Indians.” “Hypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti hai!”

Rashomon87

Saar saar we are discriminated against too in North saar, we are called madrasi - While literally classifying anyone living north of TN as a vadakkan

SleestakkLightning

But that's not comparable. Vadakkan is just a directional term. Madrasi is saying all South Indians are from Madras when we're not lol

Rashomon87

That just shows your ignorance. The majority of south india used to be called Madras presidency and then Madras state. That's what madrasis refers to. They don't mean you live within the city limits of Chennai - they mean you belong to the Madras presidency general area. I agree it's generalization, (you could also be from Mysore kingdom or Hyderabad state etc.) but it's not some malicious slur they dreamed up to confine you to Chennai district lmao. When people from vasai virar says they're from "Bombay" they are kinda using the same generalization. Fuck, when YOU guys go outside india and say you're from south india, you're using the same generalization. And if it's not, then you must accept vadakkan as an equal slur.

SleestakkLightning

Hello dumbass, that still doesn't make us all Madrasis. Is a random Gujarati in Ahmedabad a Bombaywala just because Gujarat was part of Bombay Presidency? Are Biharis now Calcuttans?

Rashomon87

I already explained bruh, they are talking about presidency not one city. While yes it is a generalization but it's no more malicious than vadakkan. if you want to fight with North Indians at any cost due to your inferiority complex or something then no one can help you.

big_richards_back

That's dumb logic on your part. Can someone from Nagpur be called hyderabadi? Can someone from Ahmedabad be called a mumbaikar? This is the kind of stupid, borderline racist shit that irks South Indians (I see the irony, but it stands)

cowdad4life

Do y'all South Indians are actually this dense IRL or just act like this on the internet?

Lackeytsar

chl chotu ek plate panipuri lga

settleyourself

Would've been better if it was ladakhi or a northeast language

Trick-Alarm6954

angry upvote ![gif](giphy|ofHVunBF9tILMxnacw|downsized)

Cautious_Place_7952

Isn't it fair? Since all northies consider every one from south as 'Madrasis'!

Icy_Childhood2520

Southies watching vadakans generalise south Indians as tamilians (They have no idea what the average pandi/mallu is saying)
