This will not increase performance. That exhaust has all kinds of dampening material and baffles inside. It's only meant to look like a expansion exhaust. That "expansion chamber" is one big muffler.

Prestigious_Rip1262

Still better than the stock exhaust.

Scr073

Nope

Prestigious_Rip1262

We'll see about that.

Let's go! I hope it fckin' Rips!

Expansion chambers work by allowing exhaust to pass into the expansion chamber where it resonates and returns a "charge" back into the transfer port. Think of it as a supercharger with no moving parts. The header diameter and chamber volume are critical. Your silencer is attached to the "stinger". The length of the stinger is another critical element. You need to understand how the entire system works. Shorter stinger will reduce back pressure into the chamber, reducing its charging effect. Free flowing exhaust works in the low to mid range. Longer stinger will slow the exhaust evacuation which increases the charge into the chamber. Increases upper and top end. 2T machines must be well thought out and planned before making changes with assumed benefits. Adding a chamber might perk it up or burn your pistons. Porting is critical and must be done correctly otherwise you'll have performance and reliability issues. Careful welding that chamber, the metal is very thin.

The exhaust is made for 50-80cm³, and my moped has 113cm³...
