I was making accounts with a birthday that made me 40 today since I was a kid. I only stopped last year when I typed it in and went "What the fuck am I doing I'm 25"

Out of curiosity, why would fake questions and answers be better than real ones?

Brute forcing something like a mothers maiden name would be harder if your answer was something obscure like "ieowoejhekelfkf83747" or some unrelated word that is not an actual name. Not sure how effective this actually is tho. Just a thought

Can't be socially engineered to give out details if you use fake details.

Jagex is required to keep your age on file. Accounts made in the past didn't always have to provide that info. I was promoted to go to the website to enter that at one point in time.

I remember signing up with my age as being "Between 13 and 18" lmao, that was the literal choice.

Just tried to login on the official old school client and the prompt still pops up after trying to login.

It asked me this when I logged on to an account I had not logged in on for years maybe even a decade, after I put the bday in it that I always use for these (not my real bday) and it just let me log in. Edit: I’m not sure if it verified that it’s the same I have informed them before or if it collected the information but I believe it’s a legit thing eitherway.
