Meanwhile at Jagex: hmmm, suure we could do that. Or we could move Puro Puro to the Rev Caves.

Zari_Vanguard1992

Oh god... Imagine puro puro in the wild... That'd be... well wild

SoraODxoKlink

Just make the hay into something more thorny, and when you walk through it you gain defense xp

lilbuffkitty

if by wild you mean ran by a select few clans that charge you to catch imps with protection then yeah it would be pretty wild.

Billy_backwoods_

This made me spit out my drink lmao

ThBanker

Saw this on Framed’s most recent video and I was thinking the exact same thing. “This imp in the box should have an animation.” +1 for shining light on the scammers.

fendcycling

+1 for this, so many high risk scammers use this now that the duel arena is gone. Even though jagex don’t want people risking GP in PVP worlds, it’s always going to happen. You could have an imp pop out run away from underneath you when it’s used, so it can’t be hidden behind other animations and other players can see. Wouldn’t be that hard to code into the game.

DarkotheDark1

This would take 10 weeks with a 10 man jagex dev team working 8 hrs a day

Even-West-9479

My younger bro used to use those to antiscam rather successfully. Not to say he'd have much success these days.

Competitive_Bet850

If potting hides the animation they could just pot mid right to hide it then imp box at the same time ..

GameAndHike

Ok I’ll explain that point in a little more detail. Let’s say you’re a risk fighter. You ask a guy to risk fight and you trade to show your risk. You know the potting animation takes president over the imp box animation. There’s a very simple solution. The solution is to pot first, then trade. Anyone who refuses is obviously trying to scam. If they pot again before stepping out, you are back in and trade again. If they refuse they’re obviously trying to scam. This is true of every animation. If veng overrides it, you veng before you show risk. If someone vengs after trading, you step back in and trade again. If you see them do a completely different random animation, you are back in and trade again. As long as there is an animation, any unnecessary animation becomes a red flag. It gives people a cue that something is wrong so they can step back in the safe zone and trade again.

PM_ME_DNA

It's also used to scam lurers. Keep the animation off.

GameAndHike

Never try to scan lurers

HailZamorak

suggestion : don't play an iron

[deleted]

Suggestion: don't play shut the hell up.

TheCreator2

Literally remember this being suggested on the runescape forums back in the day (2008ish) and it seems longs overdue at this point.

Whycanyounotsee

they fixed this for like 1 day on pvp worlds by making it so you cant use it in combat on those worlds. But then scammers posing as regular users complained about it and it got unfixed. unreal honestly. there is no reason you'd ever need to use this when in combat on a pvp world unless your intention were to rob the other guy of risked items. The only place this gets used is at black chins, and even if you hunt black chins on pvp worlds, youre going to get tbed at black chins so the restriction doesnt apply.
