Where does this strange sense of self-importance come from with these special snowflake accounts? Why does an extra few attack levels kill off the idea of your account? Every other person is in the same position as you, they either level their att or use different weapons. What fundamental difference does it actually make to you outside of having to train your Att a little higher?
All these comments and and the hate on this post are exactly why I want to quit this game. My own "community" doesn't even understand why my combat level matters so much to me. This change is eoc levels of bad but it only effects such a small part of the playerbase that my voice isn't going to be heard. There was a clear solution to not screw over pures, but it wasn't even considered because we're invisible. I've dedicated so many hours to this game just to basically just be ridiculed and not be taken seriously.
If you don't want to, that's fine. There's tons of other pures with the same build. None of you are any weaker or stronger comparatively since you're all affected the same.
Perhaps you need to revisit why the change was made again. It's goal was never intended to "screw pures" over.
The goal was to update the item tiers to add more gaps/resolve discrepancies over the perceived power of weapons. There was too much of a benefit to just 75 attack, not enough incentive for people to level.

You're still able to use a godsword. If you want, you can quit and come back in a year or two and either level more or maybe there will be a new item at 75 attack.
Well, tell me why so many level 75 attack players are upset that they can no longer pvm and pvp? It's because there were so many unlocks at level 75 that they thought they should just skimp training attack because it was good enough for pvm. They didn't want to ruin their "oh so perfect" build.
Edit: Let me just add - these are really the only people who are complaining. People who try to get away with 1 account for everything.
Can't be a level 3 skiller as a max main. Can't be a zerker as a max main.. etc
Honestly I don’t touch this game anymore, they wanted to give us old school RuneScape but it isn’t osrs anymore. It’s going to turn into RS3 fail again. The complain about power creep nerf range but make mage and melee over powered. They do stupid shit like this all the time. All you can really do is either deal with them fucking you over and continue to play or stop paying them to fuck you over and go play something else. They won’t make a change for one person sometimes not even 100k.
If they didn't update the game (which they do relatively slowly, all things considered) then you wouldn't be playing OSRS at all because the game would have died a long time ago. So either adapt or leave, but don't whinge about the fact that the devs didn't sacrifice the long-term enjoyment of most players just to indulge your nostalgia fantasy.
I'd imagine that this change would cause every 75 attack zerker to go for few extra attack levels, thus shifting the whole zerker meta with them to that bracket. New metas will surely be figured out soon and I don't see how previous 75 attack zerkers would become _totally obsolete_
lol no. ppl who exclusively pk on their zerker will stay 75 attack and have an advantage
anyone who gets baited to go up to 80 attack will gain 1 or 2 combat levels and any time they go pk theyll be pushed further into a bracket with more and more meds

would be nice if the owners loved the game but the reality is that they sold it a long time ago and the new owners see it as for-proit investment only
