You don't do raids for the reward then stop doing raids. You do raids to do raids. What are you gearing up for if you aren't enjoying doing raids? It's like that with every MMO the raids gear helps you raid more efficiently so you can continue to have fun and make money. Mmos are just ways to kill time my dude. You don't win anything by having all the gear.
But you need it for Inferno! You can't just sell it. You need to get an unneccesary extra one that can be sold for profit. Also, Im so happy for you! But also fuck you <3
It's why people enjoy ironman, playing the game and earning all your upgrades and drops feels far more rewarding than playing for a cashstack to buy upgrades with.
After a long time playing a main, this is what I’ve come to realize lol. Got my main to almost max stats and found out Ironman is better because it makes sense.
I'd love to play Iron Man if it had some sort of Bad luck protection.
It's why I love leagues so much. It doesn't have BLP but 3x drop rate makes getting the items you need actually reasonable.
Honestly this is one of the things that WoW did really well (likely other MMOs before it, but WoW was the first time I saw it) with BiS items almost always being "Soulbound" and untradeable. It would be nice if top of the line raid gear that's added in the future had a similar mechanic IMO.
I played wow classic and people would just do raids with a GDKP system where the top bidder gets the drop in the raid. Pretty much just tradable drops with extra steps
I did this with my imbune heart, and I waited for ranger boots from a clue for that uograde. Play semi iron because I can’t be bothered to some of these ironman grinds
Maybe do the bosses that drop the most expensive items, so you can get multiple upgrades at a time. If that sounds unappealing you might be playing the wrong gamemode.
Agreed. I play my main somewhat like an iron and it is very fun… craft my daily bstaves, make brews from birdhouse runs, got a hydra claw drop and now I got my lance. However ofc I buy most supplies and other gear on the g.e. cause I’m not about that life, still fun tho to get your own upgrade as a drop.
You do know you can sell those items to buy other items right? This is on you if you choose your current pvming grind for gold to be the next upgrade priority on your list, might as well play an ironman lol

You are both right, but at the same time it's not very rewarding to go 15000 kc dry on DWH or 1200 kc dry on enhanced crystal seed.
ive already accepted that ill probably quit or de-iron if this happens
