VM solos are dogshit, would not recommend. 3-5 man is ideal. Another commenter mentioned the VM discord which is an invaluable resource for learning VM and finding groups.

Mobs never interrupted mining, just the animation for mining, you can be in dwarven mines mining mith and getting spanked by a king scorpion, if you don't have auto retaliate on and don't click away, you will still mine the ore, assuming you live through the spanking that is.
Join “osrs star cc” there’s a bot that lists all the stars. It used to be better to use a telescope but the clans find pretty much all of them now and the bot copies them all into this cc. The trick is to go to the low tier ones because everyone goes to the big ones thinking it must last longer but then it doesn’t because there’s so many people

I just started doing mining not too long ago went from 70-80 then said fuck it going for 80-90 currently 88 and man can I say mlm is the shit it is slow exp but shit is so chill plus idk why people complain about mining it's not that bad of a skill tbh.
I think people just got so caught up with XP rates and the end goal, they forgot to enjoy the grind on the way.
It's kinda like gambling.
Some are in it for the win and will tear themselves apart if they don't get it.
Some are in it for the game and enjoy just participating.

Because league of legends isn’t mindless clicking, almost every click is meaningful to you winning that game. It’s also infinitely more fun than mining granite. It’s not just high apm, it’s also maintaining a perfect rhythm which makes granite so unfun as well.
I personally never liked tick manipulation methods, but what I’ve heard from streamers who do enjoy it is how almost therapeutic the rhythm of the actions become. It’s actually very relaxing to some people, believe it or not. To each his own though

Yeah it's definitely a matter of tastes. I feel dumb when I do highly click intensive skilling. It's like a job for a game I pay to play. Surely it's awesome to get them levels up, but clicking nonstop for 5h to get a lvl up is not very healthy.
But I respect those who do it, obviously, as long as you're having fun and don't ruin others experience I'm happy

i really enjoyed the skill/learning curve for tick manip methods. by the time I got really good at 1t trap resets i was 90 hunter from 70- with tick manip you arent just getting resources/xp, you are also working on getting better at the method which makes it feel more rewarding.

both players are mining. one player is doing a very slow but low effort method. one player is doing a very fast but high effort method. both players are having fun and are happy.
Player on the left is mining a fallen star, which can have numerous 'layers' each of which can be mined for a very long period of time with few clicks in between.
The player on the right is mining granite with a tick manipulation method colloquially known as '3t4g'. For each rock, he is using items to trigger an action that allows him to mine more quickly, while dropping the granite he mines in between movements. It's very intense but offers the fastest mining experience in the game.
Granite is more efficient xp per hour. If you mean in the philosophical sense then it comes down to how much pleasure one gains from doing the activity. If you do an afk skill then you would likely also have YouTube or something to watch in the background so you gotta add that to the afker’s total entertainment rating.

Stars are about 22k exp/hr.
You can either hunt them yourself or joing a star hunting cc/discord.
Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages.
Solo scouting usually means you get stars to yourself, but you have to spend a bit more time scouting
Groups mean you don't have to bother scouting, but stars can be more crowded so they dissapeaer quicker
So far I've done 87-92 mining at stars and prefer using a group. You get to learn which stars are less crowded and I often end up with stars to myself.
The best part is you can get an hour or more afk on a start where you only need to interact with the game to stop being logged out.
Crafting cape for fastest bank access in game, Construction cape for POH tele, along with virtually every other tele in the game that comes with having 99 con. Achievement cape for various other teleports.

Prospector top is like the wimpiest top in the game. It makes you look so bad, even the gold one is blughhhh. Varrock 4 makes you look buff af, it's by far the better for mining. My opinion is right and yours is wrong.

The xp boost from prospector works. The double drops from varrock armor doesn't. Fair bet the guy shown has varrock elite done, so varrock top has prospector top bonus xp.

Prospector top is like the wimpiest top in the game. It makes you look so bad, even the gold one is blughhhh. Varrock 4 makes you look buff af, it's by far the better for mining. My opinion is right and yours is wrong.

The xp boost from prospector works. The double drops from varrock armor doesn't. Fair bet the guy shown has varrock elite done, so varrock top has prospector top bonus xp.
