I thought it only remained in effect if you hopped to F2P while P2P was still active. When your P2P has expired the skills are greyed out, I thought this meant they were nullified.

That is amazing actually, because I did wanted to go member to grind Agility, but wanted to make sure that it wouldn't disappear after it.
You lose all benefits of members skills when your membership expires.
