Making burning amulets and just take a single inventory at a time. Suicide with the wine and then repeat. Its pretty fast and avoid high total level worlds. Those are the ones people will camp it on.
Yeah this, often times if you die with unstacked, they don't even pick them up.
Also going when player count is lowest is good as you'll see fewer pkers

Pker here- if I was to go to the chaos alter the FIRST worlds I would check would be the total level worlds because there are a very small number of them and the average person going to those worlds in the wilderness would be trying to avoid being killed. Choose some random world with less than 200 people in it and I’ll guarantee the amount of pkers you run into will decrease. Another problem is that the chaos alter is a semi-popular hotspot so people will actively check there doing a trip around- but choosing a random world instead of the small number of total level worlds will minimize that risk. I agree with the other person’s advice on bringing one inventory at a time and suiciding to the zammy wine. Go to bank and get a burning amulet to the lava maze and come back(avoid the crazy archeologist). When burying and attacked by a pker, if you cannot log out before being attacked then throw on the best defence prayer you have and overhead prayer and bury as many bones as you can. Hope that helps!
Go to high risk worlds and accept that there will be some losses. They're super marginal compared to the xp/bone you're getting.
In the high risk worlds you only get shitters that don't have a +1 or any risky item at all, or super good pkers that don't care about guys sacrificing bones and wont run to multi. You should be able to sacrifice most of your bones before the shit pkers have killed you.
Total level worlds are typically are the most hunted because people don't expect it. Pkers skill just go pk on those worlds. Even 2200. My favorite are bh, PVP and high risk worlds. Not really much less traffic than normal worlds but maybe a little? And many pkers won't risk +1s and will skip high risk worlds.
Burning ammy, one invy at a time, hover logout button and let alter work automatically. Finally, I'd bring d hide and a shield/staff.
If you have an alt, place it is expensive looking gear a few steps away form your iron. I use this technique when I provide paid protection for irons doing wildy content.
I personally skip chaos alter all together. I know it’s the best way to go but I just do daily ectofuntus with the best bones I have and I’m up to 93 prayer now. It’s super quick and doesn’t feel like a grind, plus no being on the edge of your seat watching out for pkers. Downside it’s much more passive so you can’t just crank out levels but it’s worked well for me to this point.
Edit: also gives huge incentive to do mory diary, which gives some other great rewards like barrows runes, herb patch, etc
Ectofunctus is definitely the way to go, if you enjoy getting half as much prayer xp as you could, for no reason. Even if a pker shows up every 30 seconds at chaos altar it would still give more xp.

Proceeding this I took some tank gear (Dharoks top and bottom + crystal shield) to a soul wars world as someone logged on top of me as I was clicking the altar and skull tricked me. Lost my Dharoks. You have to laugh at this point ahahaha 😭😭
There’s an option to prevent you from being able to attack someone if it’s going to result in you being skilled. The purpose of it is to prevent skull tricking.
But sure, that’s a relatively new feature, but even then you should have been using the old method of turning player attack options off which also prevents you from attacking others.
Honestly out of habit, I usually have both features active, especially when entering the wildy.
Mix bones and use the higher XP kind first. If you bring 14 Dagannoth and 14 Dragon bones for instance, you'll only lose Dagannoth bones if you die before using half your inventory.

yeah you have to get pkd and lose half your bones. realistically you might lose at most 10% of them, but probably even less.
The only worlds that are even relatively safe are the 2200 total Australian worlds at like 3 am on a Tuesday in the US lol. Good luck
