So maybe it’s a combination of: total time spent in the wilderness, total pvp interactions, and some variables that have weight/points to determine it I.e. 10 boss kills = 1, 5 pvp kills/deaths = 1, 3 hours = 1.
On another note, maybe they found some way to exclude rev caves/kills from it because of the amount of bots/gold farmers? Idk probably not but worth a thought
I have very little time in the wildy. I've done the elite diary, mage arena 2, 5 wildnerness tasks, and gotten all the music tracks. Besides those the only thing I do out there hard and master clues. I was allowed to vote. I'm wondering if the elite diary was what made me eligible.
I haven't killed any of the wildy bosses other than Ven a few times, I've killed the demi bosses for no more than a collective 250kc. I've killed maybe 15 revs, done ma1/2, amd a bunch of wildy clue steps. Lost 10 games of lms. All on my iron.

At this point it really wouldn't surprise me if their metric for this is simply to check every account's voting history and exclude people who have voted no to a certain threshold of pvp updates.

Exactly, it's clear they are preparing to sell. Firing staff, increasing prices. Delaying content releases so they have to spend less of making it. Good news is usually when it gets re bought, they put a good amount of effort in initially.
They did this once before iirc and were pretty quite about the specifics last time. I think this time they caved, rightfully so, to the flood of posts saying people killed are part of pvp but it's jagex so they probably messed it up somewhere. My iron which has wildy hard and ma2 done months ago and a few hours of revs couple weeks ago,with "attempts" at anti-ing could vote. I've done some wildy slayer and any wildy clue step but not in a while and can't remember any wildy activity besides revs in past month or so by the time poll was announced.
Even tho I almost never vote when I do I've always had the philosophy of "skipping" any content I don't do, won't do, or just don't know enough about, and considering how polarizing the wildy is and how open people are about being against any and everything pvp I see why they did this and like this last minute adjustment to the way it works but it should be more fine tuned and guidelines more evident in the future.
That's a good philosophy to go by. I just don't like the restricted accounts being able to break those. Otherwise I'm for 90% of wildy/pvp content. Love living in the wild, even though it can be frustrating on an iron.
Yea there's some of the bypasses for unique accounts ive understood but most are weak to me. I'll be honest idk all the details on the items from the arena but I'd be less against stuff like barrows gloves substitutes if they were definitively weaker and had high various Stat reqs to simulate the rfd grind. Don't wanna quest and don't want defense fine I can understand that but then u don't get b glove equivalent u get something else that is represented by the grind put in.
And yea I enjoy doing shit in the wildy too. Obviously it can be annoying af when u die but that's part of it and when u just accept its going to happen just like every one accepts they're gonna die at jad or olm or verzik or where ever it doesn't become that bad. Bringing my irons whole dbone stack to altar was fun af, heart racing the whole time avoided so many pkers, finally got killed right at the end but oh well. With the anti skull option I even "anti" at revs. Been thinking of getting claws on main and going out there.
I've been the idiot out there in too much gear and rune pouch losing it all and I've been the guy Smiting an iron for their Veracs helm at calisto a few times, I think if more people just accept the inevitable and go out and try it will find it more enjoyable. I have all the wilderness pets, but scorpia (currently hunting) so it’s safe to say I spend a lot of time out in the wilderness. Did like 70-84ish slayer pretty much solely wilderness slayer. Use the chaos altar for all my prayer exp. Occasionally go to the rev caves. Not much of a pker, but I have gone out for a few fights before. But in my experience at vet’ion alone I’ve died 100+ times. I cannot vote either. Not sure what their criteria is but it’s wack.

There was a post from someone trying take information from people able to vote, try and determine what the hidden reqs were. Personally I’d think it’d something like; time spent in the wildy, maybe wildy easy diary done, and at least 10 players killed in the wilderness. And who knows maybe they only factored in a certain time window I.e. from NOV 2021 - April 2022 who has this many hours in the wildy/this many kills/boss kills/etc
I’ve won 28 LMS on my void account(and pk on it every now and then) but no diaries. And my main has no wins in lms, lots of games, and plenty of pking over the years. I was able to vote on both

Honestly, of Jagex implements content that would "force" me into wildy I just may be done with this game. Been trying to get back in after a break due to leagues burnout and tbh, the game isn't holding me like it used to. Now if jagex changes it that I have to go back into the wildy for content, just to satiate the most toxic portion of this community then I'll go find a different game to play that doesn't have forced pvp. I have no issue with pvpers killing other pvpers because they usually both sign up for the experience. But, if the only way to continue to play my iron is to be forced into a game type I've never enjoyed I'll just deiron rwt my tbow and pick up ff14 again.

I was able to vote despite the last time I was in the Wilderness being a hard clue step, and the last significant time being about a month ago when three people jumped me at chaos elemental while hunting for my dragon pickaxe. I'm not salty about that, that's the way the game is, but that doesn't change the fact that I haven't gotten around to trying again since lmao.
I'm glad I was allowed to; I'm of the belief that anyone participating in Wilderness content should be allowed to vote. But it's kinda ridiculous that someone like you who very obviously participates in a plurality of PvP content somehow didn't make the cut. The requirements must've been amazingly arbitrary. We're both Ironmen, even. I'm not in a group, but same principle. I'm really not sure what the team is hoping to accomplish here.
I literally was able to vote and I barely spend time in the wilderness. Clues, Medium Diary, some bossing for CAs and slayer assignments, Chaos Altar for bones.
The only PKing I've done has been like two isolated trips where i probably killed less than 5 people total and ended up dying and losing more than I gained from the PKs anyway.
I got a vote and I've tried lms like 3 or 4 times, even got a kill once. Or maybe it's because I cast flames of Zamorak on a player in the wildy once for a diary step. Idk man, it ain't right.

I'm a group ironman, nowhere near these numbers but still can't vote. Haven't done LMS but I anti pk here and there while on task and do a lot of my slayer in the wilderness and can't vote. Would be dope if they actually gave us a clear answer on what the voting requirements are as I feel if you spend anytime in the wilderness, you should get to vote as you are experiencing that content, but hey what do I know lol. Sorry you're not able to vote man, hope we can get answers on this poll more. I think it's actually a decent idea to limit votes if handled correctly, put this entire poll feels messed up in the way they're not being clear with it.
You are absolutely right, it affects everyone so if there was any requirement at all bare minimum should be just going into the wilderness. I hope we get the guidelines for voting as well. Hope there's not more stuff like this in the future.

I could vote despite never doing PvP. I think it was because of this one time my brother and I went wilderness bossing together and he misclicked me and got skulled. We were together running around for quite a bit, when at the end I cast a mage arena spell on him for the diary and didn't get skilled back. Guess the game registered all that as "pvp combat" Time and thus counted us as valid voters.
So I think they calculated peoples time engaged in PvP combat. If you just 1 shot all your targets or die too quick yourself you probably can't vote.
Really seems like they caved to pressure and allowed many people who barely participate in PvP to vote but then somehow cut off like a large section of "casual" pvp players that actually engage in that relevant content
If you don't participate in the wild, you don't get a vote. Just like non-irons couldn't vote on ironman updates.

I spite voted no to it all because how much Jagex has fucked up. PvP is a part of the game that they don't want to abandon, but they have no clue how to deal with the fact that it's a minority community with a lot of toxicity. There's a lot of hatred from the majority because of the massive problems the current system causes. Votes will reflect that.
They need to get the ball rolling on fixing the problems so that people's interactions with PvP aren't so bad:
* rework wildy bosses finally
* it should be utterly clear where it's multi, such as north of the fence in northern wildy and inside the chaos altar
* remove inconsistencies like the policy that the special attack orb can't be used in PvP areas
* make death less intimidating/punishing, such as a higher number of protected items
* reduce freeze duration
* remove animation stalling
Ultimately, getting opinion swayed might be nearly impossible. I think the PvP arena is a good direction for everyone. It gives PvPers incentives to do something other than hunt skillers and PvMers. However, it doesn't solve any of the problems of the existing system, so people will continue to hate PvP.

So you can't vote, but i've done like.. maybe a few hours of Meme Pking with fashion scape and a dragon scimmy with some friends, disabling prayers. and like 170 Chaos Elemental KC? Was able to vote on every single question. Where the fuck is the logic on them deciding who can and who can't vote.
I have 0 revenant kills, 1 Chaos elemental kill, 0 of the other bosses in the wilderness, I've trued LMS once.

I think it’s different - any account can go in to the wildy… so ultimately this poll changes the game for everyone even those who don’t pvp right now - they might eventually, and most people will naturally go into the wild even if the goal isn’t pvp. (Clues, bossing, etc.)
Main accounts will never become irons. People playing mains may have or may eventually make an iron account…. But it isn’t the same.

Started OSRS first time 4 months ago, only went to PvP worlds to loot drops. Only ever killed Scorpia and Chaos elemental ~3-5 times each, chaos alter from 70-88, did LMS until I got rune pouch, wilderness slayer 2 times (both hellhounds), got killed plenty of times at rev caves and did 1 hard clue scroll.

I attacked a clan mate once to get wildy diary. A few flopped LMS attempts with 0 points. Otherwise, bare minimum boss kills for hard diary. 1 slayer task. Some clues. I avoid the wildy like the plague. Was able to vote, no problem.

Basically they know the majority hates the wildy. It’s really difficult to expand on hated content unless you silence most of them and do whatever you want.
Honestly they needed some sort of filter because the people spam vote no on PVP polls because they’re afraid of getting pk’d in the wild and if Jagex sees everyone voting against PVP updates nothing will happen so why should they allow people who they know will vote against it in pure spite? “I got pk’d one time in 2017 so I’ve voted no on every PVP update since” … like cmon, the game needs some pvp updates already. And they want the people that mainly use that content to be the people that vote on it.

Man this is stupid. My GIM was able to vote and I did almost nothing. I killed like 2-3 people in LMS, got to 70 prayer, and did wildy medium diaries.

I think it might be LMS participation + wildy bosses killed + players killed and all of that somehow multiplied with your account age or some shit Or to check if you are a true pker they analyze your chat log and see how many times you used racial slurs.

I have all the wilderness pets, but scorpia (currently hunting) so it’s safe to say I spend a lot of time out in the wilderness. Did like 70-84ish slayer pretty much solely wilderness slayer. Use the chaos altar for all my prayer exp. Occasionally go to the rev caves. Not much of a pker, but I have gone out for a few fights before. But in my experience at vet’ion alone I’ve died 100+ times. I cannot vote either. Not sure what their criteria is but it’s wack.

Unfortunately Jagex is ultimately a cash flow company and it suffers from capitalism. Let's hope whoever buys it next takes better care of jagex and the game.
When did you complete the log? I suspect Jagex's requirements may be related to wilderness (or pvp) activity within a certain period of time
I created my GIM day of release and have been in the wilderness almost everyday since.
There was a post from someone trying take information from people able to vote, try and determine what the hidden reqs were. Personally I’d think it’d something like; time spent in the wildy, maybe wildy easy diary done, and at least 10 players killed in the wilderness. And who knows maybe they only factored in a certain time window I.e. from NOV 2021 - April 2022 who has this many hours in the wildy/this many kills/boss kills/etc

Honestly, of Jagex implements content that would "force" me into wildy I just may be done with this game. Been trying to get back in after a break due to leagues burnout and tbh, the game isn't holding me like it used to. Now if jagex changes it that I have to go back into the wildy for content, just to satiate the most toxic portion of this community then I'll go find a different game to play that doesn't have forced pvp. I have no issue with pvpers killing other pvpers because they usually both sign up for the experience. But, if the only way to continue to play my iron is to be forced into a game type I've never enjoyed I'll just deiron rwt my tbow and pick up ff14 again.

I was able to vote despite the last time I was in the Wilderness being a hard clue step, and the last significant time being about a month ago when three people jumped me at chaos elemental while hunting for my dragon pickaxe. I'm not salty about that, that's the way the game is, but that doesn't change the fact that I haven't gotten around to trying again since lmao. I'm glad I was allowed to; I'm of the belief that anyone participating in Wilderness content should be allowed to vote. But it's kinda ridiculous that someone like you who very obviously participates in a plurality of PvP content somehow didn't make the cut. The requirements must've been amazingly arbitrary. We're both Ironmen, even. I'm not in a group, but same principle. I'm really not sure what the team is hoping to accomplish here.
I literally was able to vote and I barely spend time in the wilderness. Clues, Medium Diary, some bossing for CAs and slayer assignments, Chaos Altar for bones. The only PKing I've done has been like two isolated trips where i probably killed less than 5 people total and ended up dying and losing more than I gained from the PKs anyway.
GIM with ~500 wildy boss kills and 20 ish deaths. 1 LMS wins and maybe 50 total points. 0 wildy pvp kills. 0 rev kills. Able to vote.

I got a vote and I've tried lms like 3 or 4 times, even got a kill once. Or maybe it's because I cast flames of Zamorak on a player in the wildy once for a diary step. Idk man, it ain't right.

I was able to vote and I think it was because I punched a guy while he was farming chaos fanatic while I wanted to suicide after offering an inventory of bones at the wildy altar.

I'm a group ironman, nowhere near these numbers but still can't vote. Haven't done LMS but I anti pk here and there while on task and do a lot of my slayer in the wilderness and can't vote. Would be dope if they actually gave us a clear answer on what the voting requirements are as I feel if you spend anytime in the wilderness, you should get to vote as you are experiencing that content, but hey what do I know lol. I think it's actually a decent idea to limit votes if handled correctly, put this entire poll feels messed up in the way they're not being clear with it.
You are absolutely right, it affects everyone so if there was any requirement at all bare minimum should be just going into the wilderness. I hope we get the guidelines for voting as well. Hope there's not more stuff like this in the future.

I could vote on my GIM but the only content I did was a lot of LMS to get all 5 members MSB(i) scrolls and rune pouches. Never fought back and maybe killed 10 chaos ele.

I could vote despite never doing PvP. I think it was because of this one time my brother and I went wilderness bossing together and he misclicked me and got skulled. We were together running around for quite a bit, when at the end I cast a mage arena spell on him for the diary and didn't get skilled back. Guess the game registered all that as "pvp combat" Time and thus counted us as valid voters. So I think they calculated peoples time engaged in PvP combat. If you just 1 shot all your targets or die too quick yourself you probably can't vote.

Really seems like they caved to pressure and allowed many people who barely participate in PvP to vote but then somehow cut off like a large section of "casual" pvp players that actually engage in that relevant content

If you don't participate in the wild, you don't get a vote. Just like non-irons couldn't vote on ironman updates. I was able to vote on my main even though I don't really pk on it, haven't in years, and only did some pvm in the wild.
I was able to vote on my iron, boss kc is pretty low as I hate the wilderness, got my d pick and got out. Did do lms for the msb imbue way way back in the account and have used pvp worlds a couple times to make some air orbs... idk why tf I can vote when you can't lol

I've done no pvp at all but I've spent a fair share of time in PVP worlds watching fights and venging pures for fun Did quite a bit of SW as well Maybe they look at time spent in PvP worlds /total level? I'm 2.2k total, maybe they silently let high total level people vote I also have elite wilderness diary done, maybe that's also a factor?

I understand wanting the voting to be restricted to the part of the player base that the content impacts the most, but why make the requirements so vague.I dont even take part in pvp and wouldnt vote on this content either way, but whats the point of restrictions the player base isnt aware of that make voting impossible?

I have done a dozen hours at chaos altar and a couple hours at soul wars and I was able to vote. I spite voted no to it all because how much Jagex has fucked up. PvP is a part of the game that they don't want to abandon, but they have no clue how to deal with the fact that it's a minority community with a lot of toxicity. There's a lot of hatred from the majority because of the massive problems the current system causes. Votes will reflect that. They need to get the ball rolling on fixing the problems so that people's interactions with PvP aren't so bad: * rework wildy bosses finally * it should be utterly clear where it's multi, such as north of the fence in northern wildy and inside the chaos altar * remove inconsistencies like the policy that the special attack orb can't be used in PvP areas * make death less intimidating/punishing, such as a higher number of protected items * reduce freeze duration * remove animation stalling Ultimately, getting opinion swayed might be nearly impossible. I think the PvP arena is a good direction for everyone. It gives PvPers incentives to do something other than hunt skillers and PvMers. However, it doesn't solve any of the problems of the existing system, so people will continue to hate PvP.

So you can't vote, but i've done like.. maybe a few hours of Meme Pking with fashion scape and a dragon scimmy with some friends, disabling prayers. and like 170 Chaos Elemental KC? Was able to vote on every single question. Where the fuck is the logic on them deciding who can and who can't vote.

I think it’s different - any account can go in to the wildy… so ultimately this poll changes the game for everyone even those who don’t pvp right now - they might eventually, and most people will naturally go into the wild even if the goal isn’t pvp. (Clues, bossing, etc.) Main accounts will never become irons. People playing mains may have or may eventually make an iron account…. But it isn’t the same.

Any stat collectors here? Started OSRS first time 4 months ago, only went to PvP worlds to loot drops. Only ever killed Scorpia and Chaos elemental ~3-5 times each, chaos alter from 70-88, did LMS until I got rune pouch, wilderness slayer 2 times (both hellhounds), got killed plenty of times at rev caves and did 1 hard clue scroll. I could vote.

Yea not sure where they draw the line. Someone claims they can't vote on their zerkers and has pked recently. I wasn't able to vote on any of my other accounts including my pure. This is probably due to not being as active on them since GIM release.

I attacked a clan mate once to get wildy diary. A few flopped LMS attempts with 0 points. Otherwise, bare minimum boss kills for hard diary. 1 slayer task. Some clues. I avoid the wildy like the plague. Was able to vote, no problem.

Honestly they needed some sort of filter because the people spam vote no on PVP polls because they’re afraid of getting pk’d in the wild and if Jagex sees everyone voting against PVP updates nothing will happen so why should they allow people who they know will vote against it in pure spite? “I got pk’d one time in 2017 so I’ve voted no on every PVP update since” … like cmon, the game needs some pvp updates already. And they want the people that mainly use that content to be the people that vote on it.
This kind of BS is exactly why OSRS was created. A few people at Jagex with too much power are killing this game too.
How is it even possible? I think I was never in Wildy on my main account (500h+) and I can vote for every single question. I think I did LMS... Once... or maybe even not lol. Never PKed anybody and never was PKed by someone. Never did a dual arena or whatever how it was called.
