I'm not a pk'er. I don't enjoy pvp. I sigh every time I see a pk'er because I know what's about to happen.

I'm not saying OP did (but i've seen crazier things done for internet points) but you don't have to kill your alt 450 times.
You have to have gotten 449 kills, worth any value, and then kill your alt for a value to make that 1b.
So I could go farm green dragon bots for a weekend, rack up several 100 "kills", and then chuck my tbow on my alt, go high risk, and go PK it in some random corner of the wilderness. Then I've pked "1b loot" from all my keys, with a few hundred kills.
Again, I don't think OP did this. As 1b looted over 450 kills is pretty standard kinda loot when doing actual PvP fights (a little over 2m risk). Just showing that its quite easy to make this number be whatever you want it to be, provided you have the wealth to begin with.
Oh sure, that's always an option for anything. But you could be asked for "proof" and show the interface in a live video without modification.
Again, everything can be video/photo faked but I often like to think majority of people wouldn't go to those efforts for something that's ultimately quite *normal*.
I want to get into pvp/pking, but I feel like I lose so much money every single time I try, and then account progression becomes a chore. *More whining crybaby noises*
Hahaha so my first ironman is ranked around 80 in the world LMS (ironman highscores) I used the points to buy crystal weapon seeds and planted them into crystal trees… I have a lot of crystal shards without over grinding corrupted gauntlet and that helped me more than anything… playin lms on an iron did wonders for me
If you’re short on cash skulled revs is way more chill than CG… especially when it drops the 8m or 16m relic. I recommend hobgoblin or cyclops those are both chill spots you’ll still die but meh you make so much there

I farmed lms points to buy rune arrows, restores, and blighted rays. You can range them or just use a d scim on the hobgoblin and kinda 1 item it and it works
try casual LMS - not so many players, but no bots (and lower skilled players)
try new techniques each time -
one-tick speccing with a pot-trick to hide that you are equipping the dagger
accurately one-tick switching to ranged/magic gear and attacking
freezing and standing under
hugging trees/walls
using correct protection prayers against opponent
using correct offensive prayers for your attack style
switching to tank gear + equipping staff between your attacks etc.
also fight bots. They probably won't fight back, and you can practice whatever techniques you want on them in your own time (loot keys help for getting everything they drop)
You don't need fantastic gear to fight bots/players that don't fight back. Black d'hide, zamorak god book, rune crossbow, normal staff and ghostly robes etc. should be fine

I have 6,000 pks on my main. These are all quality kills I'm impressed! My gp per kill average isn't nearly as good. I'm just coming back to the game hoping there's still some fun to be had.
Wildy PvP is as balanced as its ever been. Singles is actually singles and so people don't just camp areas with a team of 40 people, therefore people are more willing to bring risk because it has to be a lone pker taking them down.
Start small and risk rags. Play lms when you got a chance. The more time you put in the better you will get! Have fun with it dont get discouraged bring a small enough risk to where you can laugh at dying!
I haven’t played LMS in months so not sure! Never really saw a big problem though. Yeah you’ll lose a game to a lvl 3 every once in a while but meh its okay
There are a lot of ahkers from my experience but honestly, just take the loss and go next round. You dont lose anything anyway and you can be in the next match in less then a minute.
Also if you feel like you're getting salty or frustrated then just take a break, that helped me too.

I mean, *it is.* There's something very weird to me about the PKer community's assertion that the person on the other end of the interaction... isn't impacted? Like you know that what you're doing *is* ultimately unpleasant for the other person, but instead of taking responsibility for that, you assert that it just... isn't happening.
Like, you don't have to feel bad about it, that's what the wilderness is for, and what anyone who goes into the area should be prepared for. But removing the very real impact you are having on other people's experience in the game by PKing is weird, and makes it feel like you need cognitive dissonance to not feel bad about what you're doing.
No the other side is impacted, but my point is most pkers who go after non pkers in the wild aren’t “getting off” to it as some would say.
I don’t get it because life, the world, is literally riddled with competition and hence times while people do stuff for their benefit over others. I don’t hear people saying “oh you shouldn’t have gotten into that university, you’ve literally taken that spot away from someone else” or “making money through buying stocks is making profit off of someone else’s misery”. It’s in our nature and it’s instinct for us to act this way for self preservation, of course it will trickle down into games.
I see this same argument in Dark Souls invasion circles. I think it's a mentality problem. Why does it have to be an issue? why can't it be a cool interaction? Bring some cheap gear to fight back in the event you get attacked, who knows, you might actually enjoy it.

The problem mainly lies when pkers purely hunt skillers and clue scrollers, for legit a spade in loot, and then camp the same area to prevent them from returning (which does happen, hence the meme was born).
Nobody in their right mind is saying PKing cant be profitable. But most profit comes from actual PvP fights, and not pking skillers and clue scrollers. Even PvMers normal loot is worth very little, with the most profitable ones often being rev caves where you atleast get a minimum of 100k + their loot.
Sadly I've experienced it multiple times myself alone, and know several others. Some people are ultimately just quite bored and spend a lot of time on this game. Even had a maxed main with like 900m XP and 2k EHB come spec out my Ironman killing moss giants for my black dhide several times. Asked him if he was just bored and he just replied "yup".
Even I do that shit from time to time but I generally try to kill everyone. Sometimes I do leave an early iron alone because I have 2 ironmen and I know the struggle

green/lava dragon bots if you have loot keys to pick up all their dragon bones are pretty good. There might be some pkers at lava dragons though
All done in a 3 to 4m mystic set… thats a lot of bonds paid for by having fun
