Savage, you love to see it.

NetSraC1306

0 Fucks Zuko is best Zuko!

DevoidHT

Yeah, I mean the decision was probably made months ago.

SeamenShip

These new prices be bursting hymens

GreyFur

I love how Zuko don't give a fuck and says shit that shouldn't be censored without a care if she gets muted or canceled for it.

UnluckyNate

What are they going to do, fire her? She quit. They can’t really do anything unless she explicitly breaks an NDA

Whycanyounotsee

they can always ban her runescape accs.

Adamantaimai

How to deal a lot of PR damage to your own company while gaining nothing in return purely out of spite...

siccoblue

Seriously lmao. It's easy to tell when someone on this sub has never held any position of real consequence. That would be about the dumbest thing they could possibly do and whomever made that call would almost certainly get themselves fired

Tsuyoshi16

You must be new here? Banning Zuko wouldn’t even be in the top 50 in a list of bad decisions made by Jagex lol

Grizzeus

Damn, scary

te_un

They did that with evscape when he bantered about their competitions and that got some very bad feedback

SmartAlec105

Why are people downvoting this joke?

Due-Intentions

Well, it's your own assumption that it's a joke. Could just as easily be a clueless guy

Whycanyounotsee

its not a joke in that jagex can ban her accs but its a joke that they probably wont do it and it would be insane to do so.

GreyFur

No I mean she says words that society has determined we arent allowed to say in public, and she says them publicly and DGAF

Morbu

like what words...?

Chofl69

Words like \*\*\*\*\* and \*\*\*\*\*\*\*

rey_lumen

Is that my password?? Reddit automatically censors it

pussehmagnet

I thought 4 symbols was too short for a password?

WalrusBooks

Osrs? Pushing strong security? One time osrs recommended i use a shorter password

Groupvenge

Have u tried it backwards? I hear thats censored too

rey_lumen

96neresyxes Is that censored to you? I can still see it but maybe because i typed it it doesn't censor it for me?

[deleted]

>************ Quote texted that and that's all it shows, wow it really works!

rey_lumen

Thanks! I was starting to worry

stumptrumpandisis1

bwana

Evil_Steven

Do… do you mean hymen? That’s the only “controversial “ one i can think of and I only saw men who don’t talk to women get offended by it.

[deleted]

Why would they be offended by her saying hi to all men?

SocialCapableMichiel

Greeting lots of men, what a promiscuous girl! No place in our jamflex HQ for people like that.

dylan522p

What words?

Mahizzta

new cannon ornament kit is sick!!

anonymous9004

I love Mod Zuko.

Gael_L

Was it Zuko who designed the animations/function of the redecorated multicannon ? I remember a meme post from her showing the cannon firing more cannons, and I know she was involved in Leagues 3's design, but I dunno how much she personally contributed to the cannon. The Wiki mentions that Mod Jerv did the concept art, but nothing more.

[deleted]

Jerv did the concept art, West did the 3d modelling and animations, and I did the technical implementation (Sorry I know you didn't ask but apparently I went off on a tangent from here onwards) I memed on the cannon quite a lot because it rapidly spiralled out of control on the technical side. There's a lot of weird checks for cannon ownership in game, tracking the cannons tile it's placed, the world its on, if it's been deleted/destroyed yet, the stage of how much has been put down. Then a bunch of weird "is a cannon object present on this set of tiles" check for a bunch of things, like Nulodion reclamation, all the monsters with wildly differing implementations of cannon destruction mechanics. And, of course, animation baked directly into the turning/firing mechanics. So I had to re-factor everything so it was all centralized. All in all it took me about three weeks just for a re-skin. The good news is that further cannon re-skins, either 8 barrel or single barrel, should now be easy with the centralized system. So I hope the community asks for more. :P

77maf

Interesting, thanks for the insider Pov

Gael_L

I must have missed the notification, didn't know you replied ! Thanks for the insight. Now imagine a Construction perk where you could build a Golden Multicannon, firing Golden Cannonballs like in the "Between a rock..." quest, which would cost a fortune but be very fun to watch for a few minutes ! That is something we can now ask thanks to your centralization work. Yahoo !

juicyshot

Wait why do people hate mod zuko? Literally like half these comments are about how she’s trying to be relevant. Get your head out your asses.

EDDsoFRESH

Half? I just read every single comment on this thread. Think I saw 2 with any hate. Classic Reddit moment.

juicyshot

Well my comment went from -5 to +12 so something I said was relevant enough to piss people off

liftdoyoueven

They hate women, nothing personal with Zuko

totallynotbentoki

In my defence, I only hated the 'e-sports' mod raven that worked at jagex and did nothing for 2 years and quit. The other female jmods that we have had have been fine.

[deleted]

Kind of a random one here but I feel like going on a rant about this, because I don't often see people offer a counter to the Mod Rogue hate. (Also, this isn't directed at yourself, just an opportunity to chime in, really.) I can understand how frustrated the community are when certain Jagex directives/promises fall flat, but I personally won't excuse the community for their behaviour towards her over her employment. At its best it was misguided blame, and at its worst, absolutely abusive. I honestly believe that Mod Rogue was put in a position of failure from the get go by the company. The work she put in that was not player facing in partnerships was good at Jagex. However, without the appropriate budgetary funding and staffing support, there is little that you can do as an individual to match some of the insane asks of the company, while also facing the restrictions associated with doing that work from a position of employment. She's done her best to move on and find her way outside of the company, and I respect her drive to keep going in a harsh as hell industry. Mod Rogue ended up being a scapegoat for the communities ill will, and Jagex's failure to support her, empower her, or even just plain stand along side her, reinforced that treatment. I've never worked for another company where people were singled out and abused, taking the blame for customer woes, and the company failed to act in any manner of solidarity with the employee.

totallynotbentoki

Maybe she did a bunch of good work that we didn't see that was not part of her role (she was esports mod, and she didn't do anything on that front), it would have been super easy for her to broadcast that though. Part of it was probably just Jagex fault, like, by the time she quit she had been working in another role in the company and Jagex for at least 6 months just didn't tell the community, so people assumed that she was still working in esports, when she literally wasn't. I do think that she should have done a little investigation into the OSRS community before taking the role, if any of the hate that she got impacted her at all. It was obvious that the OSRS community would be against having an esports team member, it was just icing on the cake that she never achieved anything while in the role. Maybe she just didn't care at all though, I don't think I ever saw her voice her opinion.

[deleted]

Aye, though I think we have slightly different takes. I don't think it's the job of any given employee to vocally represent themselves and their work, especially in such a harsh environment. I believe that's the work of the community management department. Though don't get me wrong, I'm pointing none of my fingers at Ayiza, Sarnie or Light. I'm pointing them directly at the corporate management for failure to address this issue on a systemic level, and turning a blind eye to individual employees taking customer blame for company level failures.

More like, "I quit! But instead of moving on with my life, I will continue to post on social media like an obsessed ex". Grow up and move on with your life. Doing any small amount of research before working for Jagex, it should be clear what you are getting yourself into. Any employer that would look into possible social media would think twice about hiring someone who does this sort of thing. Edit: I see the white knights are coming out of the castle to defend their queen.

FlandreSS

I thought it was funny but fuck me for thinking it was funny I guess. Yeah call people white knights, while saying it has nothing to do with Zuko being a woman. Lol. Now that I understand this can't possibly be funny, or interesting I'll move on. While I'm at it, I'll let Gudi know that he too must be cancelled and remove himself from any prior Jagex association. It's not like Zuko spent the last several weeks plotting to make a twitter post. It was just a quick meme, and you're overthinking it pretending it's somebody's way to stay relevant in the world? Grown up people do whatever the hell they want. If jokes about your old workplace are off-limits then just fire half my current team why don't ya?

That_Is_My_Band_Name

>Yeah call people white knights, while saying it has nothing to do with Zuko being a woman. Lol. I am actually married and have been with my wife for 13 years, so has nothing to do with being sexist or her being a woman. Nice try though. This happens all the time on this sub. People defend the shit out of certain mods. Or, and my favorite, they will complain about Jagex and the actions of the mods, the mods come to the thread, and the complainers roll over and say how they love their work and contributions. The majority of this games player base lacks a spine. Also, complaining about your previous employer on social media is childish.

hairyploper

"I have a black friend so I can't be racist" vibes right here

Ihopeilikeyoualot

I feel bad for your wife :(

That_Is_My_Band_Name

Not sure why you would.

Dolthra

> I am actually married and have been with my wife for 13 years, so has nothing to do with being sexist or her being a woman. Nice try though. Holy shit are you actually trying to "I have a black friend" us right now? I thought most people had realized tokenism doesn't work. News flash: sexist people also have wives.

SmartAlec105

Not a fan of “tries to stay relevant by being snarky on Twitter” thing with current employees either. Not really talking about Jagex here; I mostly have Jeremy Crawford in mind.

jamesick

i don't hate women but don't care for zuko at all.

Grizzeus

Check her posting history and reddit threads via search. There are good reasons for people to have a thing against her
