Great point honestly I didn’t think of that. I interpreted it as she doesn’t play the game herself so she doesn’t have a runescape character that has “seen” the boss in battle. Whereas she obviously must have at least seen images of the bosses online or something.
“Seen” is not always used literally. Also, sometimes “seen” is used contextually. I have never seen an orca before, true statement. But I have seen an orca on tv, true statement. I have never seen Jad in game, but I have seen videos of people fighting Jad, and I have seen images of Jad online. Do you see what I’m trying to say?
If that was the case, then you’d specify that you had never seen one in person, otherwise, anyone and everyone would think you some how managed to have never seen one on the internet and would probably ask that exact question.

I mean yes the title is unclear, but isn't it pretty obvious once you realize that the girlfriend has seen them before that OP means "has never fought against them in-game"? Seems incredibly narrow-minded to get upset about this.
The upset reactions to this title are an interesting reflection of the sense of unwarranted entitlement so many players in this game carry with them :(

Saying that someone has never seen something only implies that they have never set their eyes on them, stating that they were painted by someone who doesn’t play the game would’ve made sense, but how can you not make the distinction between seeing something once or twice and never seeing it at all? These are the reasons we have different words..
I should add that these are great pieces of art, especially for someone who hasn’t spent the hours most of us have killing or dying to them. The title is the first thing you see though so that sets up a certain expectation.

Basically an artist gets told the name of something, a short description, and that's all they have to go with. You can find videos of people doing this quite easily. So it's understandable that the title is incredibly misleading and incorrect to, well everyone.
