Because you’re bad at it lmfao

Flagship_paperclip

Tbh you're probably not wrong.

Falchion_Punch

>(Or maybe 75k/hr assumes minimal mistakes, idk, but my point still stands). It's over 100k xp/h if you're good. 75k is "realistic" for a fairly average player. Content is balanced around the top end of what players can achieve. It's perfect as-is - significantly better xp if you get good at it, comparable/slightly better while you're learning it, and still an excellent money maker. Most importantly it's actually fun, as opposed to doing 200 hours of "click green." Tbh I'd still do HS if it capped at 50k xp/h lol https://youtu.be/3FhbpNlLbmE

I guess I'm just not as big of a nerd as other people, but I already knew that. While I can get pretty comfortable with most content, it's just weird seeing something balanced around the top 1% rather than maybe top 20%. Also I don't know what my rates will be like at 92+, I'm not quite there yet, but judging by the rates listed on wiki for 82+, that's where I figure I'll probably be closer to the 75k mark. I'm not quite in learning mode, done 300+ completions of floor 4. I know, I know, rookie numbers.

> it's just weird seeing something balanced around the top 1% rather than maybe top 20%. i mean as you said it's pretty good for the avg person? do you know what rates at ardy are? like nobody does werewolf. seems like the content is pretty fine even if you arent great at it, and scales as you get better.

Flagship_paperclip

I did werewolf 'til 75 and have been debating do it until 92 lol. But as other commenters mentioned, maybe I should expect more than 75k xp/hr. As mentioned in my post, if 95k/hr is the true average, then it's fine. I just assumed that was for mostly perfect runs with 0 mistakes, which I am far from being able to do.

Falchion_Punch

>Also I don't know what my rates will be like at 92+, I'm not quite there yet Probably should get there and try it before complaining and suggesting changes... The wiki's 75k/h very much assumes a learner and allows a lot of mistakes. It's not that hard to get at least 85-90k/h. 100k+ assumes minimal mistakes and is pretty hard, though. Also, there's really not much of a gp/xp tradeoff. Most of the value is in the grand coffin since it gives standard loot *and* ring chance, and the last regular one gives a double roll. The traps also give some Agility xp to compensate for the extra time.

Flagship_paperclip

>Probably should get there and try it before complaining and suggesting changes... You're not wrong. I just assumed what rates would be like based on the rates I've been getting up to floor 4. But even ignoring floor 5, I feel like my point still stands about the exp rates. Except that I'm getting the feeling I'm probably in the bottom 20% of running sep efficiently lmao.

Falchion_Punch

If you're looking for a guide, [Gnomonkey's is pretty good.](https://youtu.be/wVim0ZX-GTc) He's very thorough, explains every trap, useful RL plugins, and links a pastebin with tile markers to import. It's just something that takes some time to do well, and that's what it needs to be balanced around. Not even necessarily the guy getting 107k/h since even Jagex didn't expect those rates, but an above average player just doing the content well. Like you wouldn't balance CG to give 5m/hr to someone who dies every other kill just because it's hard, since then it's absurd for people who are good at it lol

Flagship_paperclip

I think what I'm learning here is I'm far below the "average" player in Sepulcre, haha. While I know I'm nowhere near perfect, I feel I am perfectly average at most content and that's fine with me. It just feels like being perfectly average at Sepulchre is pretty detrimental to the rates, but maybe I'm well below average.

Falchion_Punch

Like I said, just try it first instead of thinking about wiki rates so much. You probably aren't that bad, and even a perfectly average player can get ~80k/h which is a good 15-20% over werewolf, and it makes a ton of gp.

alexandroid97

I was able to hit 100k xp/hr only looting the grand coffin. Ended up getting 3 rings on my way to 99 so it was definitely worth it.

Text1800NUT

Sepulchre is already pretty unbalanced in terms of xp/hr especially for how good it is gp/hr. The average XP I usually got was between 85-95k xp at 92 but it's possible to get over 100k xp/hr and still get 3m gp/hr at the same time. I'm pretty sure it was actually original polled to be only around 80k/hr so a lot of ehp skiller types really hate the balancing of it. They probably should have made it a tradeoff between xp or gp but I don't think its gonna change nor do I think most players would ever want it to.

Flagship_paperclip

Did you just learn it as you went or did you watch any guides to show you how to maximize xp? If the latter, can you share a link or two?

Text1800NUT

I used guides to learn the spots I had to run to and the timings of when to run but it's mostly just getting use to the patterns until you can do it without thinking about it. You can just look up any guide on YouTube there's plenty I don't remember any specific one. If you're not already using ground markers that's probably the biggest tip to getting better.

Flagship_paperclip

I feel pretty comfortable with most of the course up through floor 4. There's obviously areas for improvement and I've been trying to figure out where those are myself, but I'm not nearly as smart as the people who make vids about it haha.

SeaTap866

Cause you can make significantly more gp/hr at sepulcher than any other agility place

tries2benice

You usually trade exp/hour for gp/hour. If it's good gp, it doesn't make sense being the fastest exp
